Editorial Review

Guess what! Dora the Explorer has jumped on the royal bandwagon! This intrepid explorer is now a fairy tale princess with magical hair that grows when the jewel in her crown is pressed with a wand. Dora talks and sings, too, in both English and Spanish: "Vamanos! Let's go to fairytale land! Will you brush my hair?" The 14-inch-tall plastic doll is not designed to be cuddled so much as played with and groomed. She is attired in a satiny yellow gown trimmed in pink and purple, and has a brush, barrettes, and magic wand. The magical tresses emerging from the hair-growing tube are quite realistic, although grownups, at least, might be a little unnerved at the sleek brown hair oozing in and out of Dora's head. Still, children are experts at suspending disbelief and accepting weirdness in the world, so they probably won't mind a bit. Four AA batteries required (included). --Emilie Coulter ... Read more

Wing problem
My four year old daughter wanted this and the mermaid doll. I bought both and am sorry I did. The mermaid review is on that site. This dolls wings will not flap unless it is being held at a certain angle. Within one day - one of the wing spokes that plug into the back is already broken, the fabric that hangs down is tore and there is glitter all over my daughter and the house. I do not recommend this doll for any child with an imagination as it will be a disappointment.

Great for the Imagination!
My 3 yr. old saw these on t.v. and went nuts. She really wanted the blue one, which I have not been able to find anywhere, but she settled on the purple one instead. She loves it! It really prompts her to use her imagination. She uses it to play with her other fairy tale barbies, but she also use it with other toys because it's so versatile. I mean, you can use a fairy in any scenario! Anyway, bottom line is, it's been a lot of fun for her.

freaky!!!
weird!!! this is the strangest thing ever since bratz catz came out!!! and those are weird...

a purple barbie??? no... i would never get it. i would rather just get those creepy bratz catz!!! but hey don't get me wrong... i love bratz!!! just those cats... ugggggly!!!
hope this helps!
p.s. if u have no idea what a cat thing is then just look up: bratz catz!!!

little girl fun
My three year old daughter won't put these sparkle fairies down (she has purple and pink). The wings actually move and there are really no clothes to lose (only the skirt and shoes come off, the top is "sparkeled on"). They are different and you can tell your child fairy stories to go with them.

Beautiful!
This doll caught my eye the moment I saw it at the store. After all, you don't see many dolls with purple skin and hair. There's glitter all over her skin and her "top" is made of glitter. She's simply enchanting. A wonderful doll at a great price! ... Read more

Great Toy - 6 hours construction time
My daughther is 4 years old and loves to play with the castle.
I have not much to add to what previous reviewers said -I mostly concurr. However I wanted to share my experience with putting the castle together: It took 3 adults 2 hours to put it together. The instructions are done well - it is just a lot of work (a lot of small parts: connectors and decorations). Plan ahead if you're buying it. It is a great toy!.

beautiful!
I grew up with the Playmobil Victorian dollhouse, and only recently did I start collecting other Playmobil sets. I bought this Fairy Tale Castle about a month ago and had the greatest time putting it together. The assembly directions include another building variation that seems to be a little more spacious, if you're planning to fit all the furniture sets in. Unlike the victorian dollhouse, this one is totally sturdy. I've moved it several times with no problem. And the accesory sets are incredible.

I recommend getting this item from Amazon.com while they have free shipping in the States. I have had problems finding toys by this company in every toy store I've been to, and having it shipped directly from Europe is extremely pricey!!

Well worth the money
Playmobils are the best toys, they are sturdy, creative, and keep my girls busy for hours. The Fairy Tale Castle is beautiful, pinks and purple, graceful arches, and stunning cutwork windows. It looks like a castle from the Arabian Knights. The people have delicate decorations on their clothes. The furniture is very realistic and fancy, fit for a castle. We have all the room sets, and a few extras from the other castle, a fairy tale castle needs a Dragon and a Unicorn!

Princess' Dream
The playmobil quality has always been high and the castle is no exception. It takes a good 2 hours to put together (and you must be careful to not invert the directions and build the "building variant" which uses about 95% of the pieces but just isnt as much fun as the normal variant). It only comes with a few people so if you want to do any big "scenes" you will need to buy a few add-ons. Still, my daughter thinks its just about the coolest toy around and has her pirate ship sail up and interact with the fairy castle inhabitants in a variety of ways. Yes we do have too many Playmobil sets at home for any sane parent...but then again if you are seriously considering this item, you probably do too! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very cute doll!
This is the only Barbie I've bought in recent years for the doll itself, not the clothing. Dandelion is a beautiful doll; the picture doesn't do her justice! I was won over by her purple eyes and mischevious smile (not prissy or seductive-looking like most other Barbies). I love dolls with oddly-colored hair and Dandelion's is a lovely bright orange. Her hairstyle fits her so well that I don't ever intend on taking it down!

My only complaint is the gaudy neon-yellow legs with the orange flower designs painted on. I dislike anything painted or modeled onto the body, but that's my personal opinion.

Complaint aside, Dandelion is quite possibly the cutest Barbie doll I've ever seen, and is well worth the $10. :)

5-0 out of 5 stars Cute and fun!
This doll is a lot of fun. I also have the big butterfly and she can fit on it. I was bit disapointed to find out that the wings are only thin plastic, but it's still fun.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Cute
My 4 year old daughter received Dahlia and Dandilion in her easter basket, as well as the Fairytopia movie. She loves them.Other than Elina, these are the only character dolls from the movie. They are very cute. The wings don't seem very sturdy, they are glued on and a 4 year old could pull them off easily.Otherwise, very cute and sparks her imagination.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great doll
I got my 4 yr old the Elina, Dahilia and two sets of pixie dolls (1 fairy & 1 mermaid). She absolutely LOVES them! She carries them around and plays mommy and baby fairies with them.I love that the designs are moulded into the plastic, no pants to loose! We braided their hair (pony tails for the big dolls) and the hair has not gotten ratty. If you get Dahilia's hair wet, I imagine that the swirls will go away as they are stiff like they have spray starch in them. Not very educational, but they do prompt role playing and imagination.

4-0 out of 5 stars VERY cute, but one disappointment
I have to agree..she is very cute, even with pink hair. However, i don't know if anyone has noticed that on the back of the box it states: "magical" glowing wings. They don't glow!I was under the impression that the plastic wings glowed in the dark if you held them up to the light for a few seconds...but they don't. they are decorated with sparkle/glitter but nothing "GLOWS".Still a VERY cute barbie and I would buy the other ones in the collection.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very beutiful and cute
This toy is so cool I have never had this much fun with a toy before. This toy is cute and colorful. The only thing is that the flying flower doesn't stay up. There are other toys like this and the figures from them can interact with this one and the cottage I have all four sets. I give this toy 10 thumbs up hollar back now

5-0 out of 5 stars 4 year old loves it
My daughter received this for her 4th bday and it has been on our kitchen table for 2 weeks now.She has watched the Fairytopia movie (which she also adores) and loves to act it out with this toy.It is very cute although not super durable. Some of the moveable features don't work perfectly but she doesn't care.I have to give it 5 stars since it was her favorite bday toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars better then geting the big verson
Well when i got this toy i loved it. it's a lot of money for my mum and dad the small verson is easy to but in drawers .Not needing boxs super i want to get more nowwwwwwww

4-0 out of 5 stars Overall an adorable addition to Fairytopia
This was a "must have" for my little one to add to her Fairytopia collection. The colors are so brilliant and her imagination seems to be stimulated. She plays with it more than the original Fairytopia land......but the pieces are extremely small and the other Little Land pieces belonging to this collection(cottages, etc.) seem to be even smaller, this can be quite frustrating for the under 5 crowd. At this writing, some pieces are already missing in action, ugh!. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible toy
My 5 year old daughter picked out this excuse for a toy as a birthday present. She LOVES it, but asks me every few minutes to pop it's stupid wings back on.If you look at it's wings, they'll fall off. This is probably the most useless, junky toy I've ever bought.

1-0 out of 5 stars Butterfly Doesn't Flutter By
I was enchanted by this gorgeous butterfly and instantly bought it for my 5-year-old daughter. What a disappointment to discover that the legs fall out just about each time she picks it up.After much fussing with pushing the legs in as tightly as I could and returning it to her, we discovered that the wings keep falling off! It's very pretty, and it now sits on the shelf, but it's a great waste of money if your child actually wants to play with it.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is such a fun toy!
This is a great toy! I love the way it flaps it's wings! It is so cute, and if you take the wings off, it can be a cricket! It has two seats, one for the little creature it comes with, and one for another barbie. The only bad thing is that the wings are very, very hard to put on. But ovarall, it is a great toy.

What a life saver this toy was!!
I bought this for my just turned three year old girl. The two of us took a 10 hour car drive with this as a brand new car toy. She spent 8 of 10 hours playing with it on the drive down. She played with it some everyday during a confernece I was attending with her in tow. She spent 6 of 10 hours playing with it on the way home a week later. She would have played with it longer had the daylight lasted longer. It saved our sanity!!

My only complaint is the magnetic pieces were easy to tear when punching them out of their original magnetic sheet. Take care and this shouldn't be a problem. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Fun for fans of InuYasha
What this game is not: The next Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat.

What this game is: A fun anime-themed fighting game.

If you are looking for a game that is just plain fun to play, and you are an InuYasha fan, this game is for you. Complete with original Japanese voice work (subtitled of course) it's just a blast to play. It is very much "old school" in style, and if you've ever played anything like Gundam Wing Endless Duel or the *original* Street Fighter II, this is very much along the same idea. Yep, this game is vintage sprite-based action!

You can either play 1 on 1, 2 on 2 (think tag team), against a friend or the computer, and there's even a story mode where you have to gather the jewel shards while fighting battles along the way, playing as either Inu-Yasha or Kagome. In VS mode some of the taglines are priceless... for example when you defeat Shippo, sometimes he'll say something along the lines of "I hope you are proud of yourself for beating a kid!" ^_^;

So if you want a good time without having to spend days memorizing a bunch of new finishing moves, give this game a try.

4-0 out of 5 stars Inuyasha Tons of Fun
I got Inuyasha 4-10-03, the day it came out (well at my mall). And it is pretty much a fun game. My favorite character is Shippo. Right now the only things I've unlocked are Backpack option, Koga, Kikyo, Kagura, and you already have Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Shippou, and Sango when the game starts off. So right now I'm trying to unlock Sesshomaru, Naraku, and those 2 secret characters who I'm not exactly sure of who they are from the shadowed picture in the book. I have 99 shards. I've beat the Feudal Fairy Tale mode about 3 times and they just stopped giving me characters when I beat it. I thought I was supposed to get another character each time I beat the game or something. But do they just give you characters randomly? If not what do you have to do in the Feudal Fairy Tale mode to get more characters? Does ANYONE know?(please email me if you know) But other than unlocking the characters being confusing it is pretty much a fun and easy game. The gameplay is simple. The easiest way to fight is to use the directional buttons along with the triangle button. This game is every bit as good as the show. The game follows the storyline and has 6 modes in all. Feudal Fairy Tale Mode (collect shards), VS Fairy Tale Mode (battle against com or against a friend), Dream Fairy Tale Mode (fight 2 on 2), Myoga's Training Mode(practice), Shippo's Seven Changes Mode (options), and Backpack Mode (listen to music, look at images, and play mini games, this mode has to be unlocked). The game is very familiar to Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Battle 22. All in all this game is great for Inuyasha fans and fighting game fans alike. A must buy for anime lovers.

5-0 out of 5 stars 2 Words:WOO and HOO!
When I first played this game, I thought it would be lame, mostly because it is 2D and I usually hate 2D games, but was I wrong! The voices are Japanese, but there're subtitles that explain what the characters are saying. The battle sequences are great too! It's really smooth and the attacks are consistent with the actual show. The game has all the main characters except Myoga because he runs away whenever there's trouble. I like Youkai Inuyasha. (the complete demon form of him) I like the Windscar attack. Well, anyway, this game is one-and two-player, so you can fight human on human, human on comp., and tag team matches. It is one of the best games I've ever played, and if your an Inuyasha fanatic like me * :) * this game is definitely for you!
~Jaken's a cricket!~
*insert raspberry here*

5-0 out of 5 stars Inuyasha is the best game!
If you like Inuyahsa the show then you will definetly like the game. It jas everything you could want in a good game. Greta graphics, music, animation, and fighting. You can't forget about the fighting. Who wouldn't like a game where you get to play as you favorite Inuyasha characters and beat people up. It's the best and if you never played it yet you should.

~*Kagome*~

5-0 out of 5 stars Cool game!
this is a must-have for any Inuyasha fan. The graphics are so-so, but the game is a lot of fun. The voices are in Japanese, so it is much more authentic. The subtitles are surprisingly accurate and the game is definetly worth buying. ... Read more

pieces too small
My only complaint with this toy is that the pieces are way too small. The first day we had to search on the floor on our hands and knees to find a lost fairy because we couldn't see it. My daughters ages 6 and 3 like to play with them but I know the pieces will get lost. My solution was to get a rubbermaid plastic container to store all the pieces in.

Love it!
I don't have the playset, but I did get one of the shoe fairies: Harmony, for my daughter. It is adorable. Very petite, a tiny one inch fairy who twirls when placed in her oversized shoe. Very sweet.

Something for the junk bin
Yes, it's imaginative to combine high heels with Mother Goose and fairies, but once you get over the novelty, what you have left is a brittle toy that is no substitute for nice glass figurines -- though it is priced at that level. For real fun play, I would recommend Fisher-Price's Little People or LEGO's new line of girl projects for your smart children, who will someday appreciate lasting value. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars I saw the movie.
Yes, I saw the movie. And, I thought it was really funny. But for a game that costs as much as about 7 movie tickets this isn't worth jack. I've made myself a rule for the gameboy color- I don't play games that were made off of movies. This is basically a side fighting game with blocky controls and no awesome moves that I expected. The characters movements are pretty well distinguished and the backgrounds are pretty nicely rendered but that's it. If you want a good fighting game play Ready 2 Rumble 2 or Killer Instinct. The music is horrible and is miles away from fun. I believe kids like it because of the shiny new graphics. There are some good colors in this game but you better have some good skill or you'll be whooped in this Button Mashing melee contest. All in all this game isn't good but I like the movie, I wouldn't recommend buying this for your kids. And if you're and adult don't play this. If you're really little you might get a little joy out of the sights.

Don't waste your money
It is very boring. Try some Rocket Power Games, they are alot funner.

5-0 out of 5 stars Shrek Kicks Butt
This game is great. You choose a character, and fight the other characters. Heres the order of how good the fighters are:

1. Shrek
2. Princess Fiona
3. Dragon
4. Ginger Bread Man
5. Lord Farquad
6. Thelonius
7. Monsieur Hood
8. Pinnochio
9. Big Bad Wolf

For all you Donkey fans bad news. Hes not a fighter. Sucks huh?

This would be a really nice toy to have!
Hello! I'm reviewing the Fairly Odd Parents Flop Swop Fairies. This toy is 2 faries with 2 combos for each farie. You can take the parts of the faries to make chickens, bugs, butterflies and turtles. This toy is fun beacuase, you can make the faries into different animals. And if you want you could play with them as action figures. It is educational beaceause it teaches you how to figures things and how to make combos. It is durable beacuase it really shouldn't brake unless you try to.

Thank you for reading this and i hope you buy!!!!!
