Now Luke Skywalker, You Will Die
The Unleashed line of toys continues with this figure of Darth Sidious. His face doesn't really match the one seen in RETUN OF THE JEDI, but the amount of detail and action in the sculpt help make up for it. The figure comes with two pairs of hands. One normal, the other features blue lightning bolts shooting out from his fingertips. I found it was best to display the figure with one regular hand and one hand with lightning. If you attach both hands with the lightning at the same time the amount of lightning looks a bit ridiculous plus his face can get obscured from certain angles.

Drawbacks - You'll have to find a safe place to store the hands not attached to the figure. The lightning bolts seem pretty sturdy, but I'm sure if they got bent they would break. On my figure the paint job on the pair of hands that have lightning is rather sloppy.

I recommend this figure, but it doesn't reach the high standard set by other figures in the series. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Boring and bulky
There are some neat pieces here, like the animals for the Gungans to ride. There's a small cart for storage of "energy balls" (clear blue 1x1 cylinders) that is sorta neat. The Gungan mini-figs are the same as the Jar-Jar ones, but in different clothes. Overall, only bother getting this set if you are working on a big Naboo display and need a bunch of Gungan soldiers.

2-0 out of 5 stars Oh please.
Oh no, Lego have got to be joking. The most awful alien life forms ever seen on the TV or cinema screen are brought out in plastic form. This set is worth it for novelty value, I suppose, and it does have some useful pieces like those giant radar dish wheels and those blue lights. And being able to inflict whatever kind of torture you desire on Jar Jar Binks is worth anybody's money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for building a Gungan army
This is a great set with two figures with animals and a cart that opens up to reveal explosive charges (which in Lego terms are small transparent blue cylindrical pieces). I bought several of these so that I could make my own Gungan army. I wish Lego would not have put Jar-Jar binks in this set, though, since he is available in many other sets. I probably would have bought even more sets if Lego had not done that. Even so, the Jar-Jar figure can be modified (change the color of pants, arms by exchanging with other figures, etc.) so that you can have a large Gungan force. Now you just need a bunch of Battle Droids... ... Read more

Nice rifle, okay boots, rest a loss
I agree with all the bad reviews. Oversized head, expression like a butch on a bad day, minimal articulation, padded outfit than you can't take off without damaging, really dumb bulky helmet. IMPOSSIBLE to believe this represents a fast, lithe killer rather than a stiff zombie guard.

However, the sniper rifle (Lucas' usual sf version of generic WWII look) is high quality, and the boots are not bad for female action figures a little larger than Barbie. All depends on what you want her for.

--(...)

if your lookin' for a star wars alien.....Heeeeere it is....
This has got to be the UGLIEST thing i have ever, ever seen!!!! I wanted to by the dumb thing, take of her outfit and put it on a nice looking doll and display that! But...I found out that her arms were painted purple! Now that is just plain wrong. Why even make the despicable thing! I swear, whoever made this is like a 2 yr old child trying to copy a Michalangelo picture or something!!!! They just plain got it alllllll wrong!
Trust me - i read all of the other reviews.... all of those people were right! Don't waist your time and money on this despicable piece of junk! go buy your self lunch or somethin!

From the Spawning Grounds of Bad Renditions
From the depths of tragically constructed figures comes this version of Zam Wessel, complete with gargantuan cranial proportions and an outfit constructed of semi-durable fibers and the greatest gift to mankind - plastic! That's right, and if you act now you'll also receive something with less articulation than a Barbie Doll and a uniform that has been airbrushed on! O, and did I mention the mention the two pounds of material surrounding the brainpan?

This figure has to be the saddest of the sad and the only one not to grace the hollowed halls of 12" Bounty Hunters for me. I say this because of the above-mentioned flaws, plus the fact that the shape-shifting "mask" she has with her looks absolutely dreadful when its placed upon the head that is three times larger than the body that has to carry such a burden. These flaws pretty much negate the fact that she has some interesting additions in the way of weaponry, armor, a decent looking - albeit oversized - helmet, and a few other accessories to add to the list.

If you think you must buy this atrocious thing, then at least take a look at the larger pictures of it before making your decision. It is, in a word, vile, and you won't be happy with the beast. Forewarned is forearmed.

Yet another bad female figure
Hasbro has done it again with a poor female figure. The head is melon like and the lack of mobility is an oxymoron to the name ACTION FIGURE. Please, oh please tell someone at Hasbro to make a cool female figure. Go buy a CY Girl and copy it for crying out loud.

What everyone has said is true...
Sad but true, this figure is a disappointment. She has a limited degree of articulation. The arms are sad. They only move at the shoulders. Head moves, knees bend, legs move at hips (with a large range of motion there). Movable at waist/torso as well. Costume is painted on for upper body (purple arms and chest). Why oh why have they let us down? This is more like a freakish hybid cross of a megacephalic (oversized head) Barbie and a real action figure...something went severly wrong in the design and production process. Well, you have been warned. ... Read more

Very Nice.
This 12" Amidala is the first Star Wars figure I have chosen to purchase. I am not very fond of the Star Wars films, though I do quite enjoy Attack of the Clones, so this figure seemed to be a logical choice.
Upon receiving the figure, I have to say that I am not disappointed in the least. Hasbro did an excellent job at capturing the look of the lovely Senator Amidala. While it might not have the same lifelike quality as, let's say the Lord of the Rings Barbie set, or some of the older Playmates Star Trek 12" figures, it is still a very nice likeness.
Additionally, her outfit is, as far as I can tell, very accurate to the film.
If you are a Star Wars fan, I don't doubt that you will love this figure. If you are more of a casual viewer such as myself, I think you will probably enjoy it as well.

Good for any Padme fan
I just bought this and I'm unsure of whether or not I will open the box. It is really nice but the head is proportionally too large for the rest of her body. Otherwise it is a really fun piece for any Star Wars fan.

Padme Amidala more or less
I got this great figure but I will not take it out of the box.
For a 12" Kenner female figure she looks great. My only real complaints are two:
I do not like the oversized plastic tubing wrap that ties her real hair behind her head-a ribbon would have been better even though the tubing is off the movie.
I do not like the way the head sits on top of the neck (this looks more like a stub!) A realistic type neck would be definitely better.
But I do like:
the real hair
her face
the articulation though only 6 points of articulation
the overall proportion of the figure
the 2 weapons!

I recommend that if you want to play with a Padme figure get one of the smaller figures! Keep your larger figures in the display box for a nicer presentation. You will need a doll display stand if you do take her out for display.
This figure is best for ages about 9 to adult.

Best toy
It's very durable. Fun to play with and display.

HORRIBL!
ok i was waiting for this for a looooong time. it is the worst padme toy i have ever seen! ok, her face is sooooo ugly and scary looking. it looks like an old man/woman (not sure , just ugly!) her head is toooo big and she has no neck!. her hair is made of plastic tubes tangles togeather! the one good thing is the outfit. it is the arena battle scene outfit before it is ripped. but the silver bands on her arms are weak plastic that do not stay on her arms. it is very true to the movie so i just took a brunet barbie and put the outfit on her and put her hair in a bun, looks ten times better. so anyway i do not recommend this toy! ... They get points for not messing it up
This is a really nice toy. Very detailed, very nice quality, although it screams "we made the Darth Vader TIE instead of the normal TIE like everyone wants because the wings make it easier to stock in Wal-Mart". As noted elsewhere, they FAIL to give you the figure for the ship. Pffffth!

not as good as the first time
this toys is a reproduction of Darth Vader's battle dammaged tie fighter from the death star playset in action fleet from a few years ago. However, all the action fleet repro's don't come with the 1-inch poseable figures they originally came with, which is a let-down, but the vehicles are still cool.

Why oh why apply damage and so much burnt marks?
I must say these action fleet toys are of exceptional quality. The sculpt is good, the paint job is as good. However I think they should've omitted the damaged look on this particular toy (TIE prototype). I understand they wanted to give it the "used" look but I think they overdone it on the TIE and M.Falcon. It didn't need so many black spots especially the Falcon, man it looked like it went thru the sun. The only action fleet toy that came out perfect was their X-Wing.

LOOKS AWESOME IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This toy is awesome and very very fun I think you should buy this item and if you don't who will fight the good guys......There is one down side to this toy it does not come with a man like the original did...Still this is a cool toy although I have no good guys yet...Buy this toy you should my very young apprentice.HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA it's cool.

ONE T.I.E.-HOLD THE SIDES.
This is a re-issue of ACTION FLEETS' Darth Vader Battle Damaged T.I.E. Fighter that was previously only available in some sort of 'playset'. Nice repro-except for the too long solar panels, and too thick between wing decking. Get it as this is the only way to acquire one without all the junky 'playset' extras. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Jedi or not to Jedi
k, lucus arts(which makes all the star wars titles) must have hired a bunch of monkeys that sit in a little old room and have nothing to do with anything star wars is about.
List of Problems
1> The programmers bindded(the game code) too lose in some parts of the game(it takes a sec or three to re-live again) and bindded to tight in some parts( like you get hit four times when a boss hits you once)
2> When yu unlock Darth Maul as a playable charater, none of the movies are in sound(check out the first couple of feet in tattonie) and when you beat the swamps of nabboo(after coursant) the opening movie plays not as darth maul, but of obi-wan instead.

3> Mace Windu- no moves period( well tha work agaist darth maul anyways)
4>Plo koon-alernate charater black man with a blaster(big damn deal with no force powers at all)
5> no harder missions when you play two player( you play the same amount of baddies as you do during first player mode)
Though in the end, the game is kool the first couple of times when you play differnt charaters, thats about it.

2-0 out of 5 stars Worse then the Movie
Man, can't the gamemakers at LucasArts ever make a decent game? After the fiasco with the first two games from the Phantom Menace, you would think George Lucas would have fired everyone and hired people who knew how to make good games. Judging by Jedi Power Battles, George Lucas is going for 0 and 3.

Let's start with the good things about the game. First, you can be a Jedi - that's damn cool. Second, you can destroy alot of stuff with a lightsaber, and you have several months. Instead of just swinging it like a blinded yalasmir, you have a variety of real sword moves. Each character (5 available) has unique fighting combos, sorta like Street Fighter. Also you can play 2 players simultaneously.

Now let's go to the bad. First, it's hard. Even at the easy setting, you'll easily die with minutes. Why? Because of the shoddy controls! Apparently Jedis cannot stop and turn around. When you're are running, and a droid comes out of nowhere from behind you, if you move the joystick to the other direction, your character will actually run in a giant circle. It's like he's a car with a 40 ft turning radius! And the worst part is by the time your charcter does a 180, the droids, who've been chasing you the whole time, are now behind you!

You can lock on your enemy by holding down the R1 button, but this feature is useless if you're taking on 3 or more enemies at one time. While you're fighting one enemy, the others will continually shoot you in the back. Then while you're fighting enemy #2, the rest will, yep, you guess it, shoot you in the back.

Then whenever your Jedi does a sword combo, the animation takes so long that droids can run up behind you and shoot you (again, in the back) while you're still doing some lame parry-stab-parry-jump combo.

And whenever you die, instead of restarting where you left off, you restart several screens back, and the same enemies are there also! In the very first level, you'll have to kill several droids, do some jumping (if you miss you die), and then fight a giant robot that continually rams you. If that robot kills you, you continue way back in the beginning, before the jumping, and restart the same droid that had just killed 30 seconds ago! And to make it worse, you only have 5 lives in the entire game, regardless if you're playing by yourself or with a friend. 5 lives for 2 players in a game where enemies constantly shoot you in the back and unnecessary jumping tests is simply not enough,

This is the sort of game you expect from a fledging new company that 1) doesn't have the resources to make a high quality game, or 2) know any better. LucasArts, however, has the money, expertise, resource, etc. to make great games. My Jedi powers tell me that Jedi Power Battles was rushed in development and testing so it could be released in early April, which coincidently enough, is the release date of Star Wars Phantom Menace on VHS.

5-0 out of 5 stars Jedi Power Battles is cool!!! Danny(England)
Jedi Power Battles is the best star wars game I,ve played on Ps1 and beats the inferior Phantom Menace!!

Like most games it takes a bit of time to get used to the controls and can be frustrating when first playing it. But once you master the jumps and moves it becomes very enjoyable!!

The levels are very inventive and well thought out. After each level you get special combo moves, but it is optional wether you want to use them. The handling of the characters is good and the range of moves is also good. The people who are critizing it probably have not learnt to play it!!!

The graphics look a bit dated compared to the newer stuff, but it is a must for a starwars fan!!
The only critisim is the Plo Kloon character is too slow and is impossible to beat DarthMaul on level 10!! I have been playing this game on and off for a year and would recommend it!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars An Oldie but a Goodie
This is one of the best games out there for the original Play Station. Obviously the graphics are lame compared to what is on the market now, but there is a lot of really fun levels here and challenging game play. I'd recommend it to any Star Wars fan. After all, who doesn't want to be a Jedi?

4-0 out of 5 stars 1 of the best Starwars game on PS1
In this you run forward and use your lightsaber to kill any bad guys that are in your way. A big problem is the checkpoints are far spread from each other. On level 2 it's a joke, you're there for 20-30 mins and get before the catapiller boss and you die and have use another 30 mins of your life. The new moves you get after complete each level are complicated to do, you have to push like 9 buttons to do a new move so I used to use the same basic moves and fluke the new moves, but I got this when I was younger so I'm alot more exsperienced at games now so this might not be as hard if I get back to it.

This did keep me hooked for a few months and it feels good to kill those enemies. You get to drive a tank was well. ... Read more
