5-0 out of 5 stars the best game on N64 ever!
I am a big nintendo freak, I have all the Mario and zelda games for both N64 and GC, but out of all, Resident Evil 2 is my favorite. This is the first RE I've played and I love it. You can play as 2 characters Leon (a Racoon City cop) or Claire (a biker girl looking for her brother, a S.T.A.R.S. member). You can adjust the violence level and blood colour for your viewing pleasure. The game has a whopping 512 megabits, the biggest on N64. The cinimatic sequences are 3-D (and look like PS2), but the in-game grphics are 2-D and may seem a little mediocre. Another downside is the game may seem too short. Both characters have two games, both slightly different. The "A" file may get boring because you find yourself running through the same room many times. I needed a guide book for the Police Station portion of the game but then was fine. You then move into the sewers (that's the only way you can get to the masion). There are also very few weapons, both character starts with a hand gun(for Leon an H&K 70 for Claire a Browning HP), both are upgradable to turn them from semi-automatic to three shot burst. There is also a Remington 1100 shotgun, MAC-11 SMG, Desert Eagle .50 caliber hand gun, grenade Launcher and Crossbow. I have not finished the game yet, but I look forward to.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good enough to keep you awake at night
The first time I played a Resedent Evil game, it was the original, on the playstation. It scared the poop out of me, even with its bad acting, and at that point I decided I loved it. Being a N64 owner, I rented RE2, and didn't really expect an equal. I was right, it isn't equal to the playstation version; it is way better! I actually yelled out when a licker jumped at me through a mirror, and had to press pause to meditate when I had to kill someone who at one point helped me, just because they turned into a zombie. When I had to return the rented cartridge, going out a buying it was immediate. Then there is the story line, which from my inexpirienced view, is just plain neat. Okay, so the whole making of the zombies thing is psuedo-cheesy. But the development of that cheese makes you feel as if you are a private eye, piecing together the puzzle to find... well, something neat. Me, being a critic at heart who tends to live vicariously through those who are more famous than me, give Resendent Evil 2 for N64 two thumbs up.

One Of The Scariest Games I've Played
This is definitely a good horrific game that can scare even older gamers. It kind of plays like the third-person Duke Nukem games. The violence of this game is higher than most and sometimes just downright nasty. The graphics are very well done. The music is very eerie and will keep you tense for the whole game. The challenge of this game could be a little different because you spend most of the game solving puzzles and little time killing zombies and monsters. Unfortunately, the play control needs a lot of work because it takes time to get used to. I suggest playing with the first-person control option (it's a lot easier). This game might have been better as a first-person shooter (like Doom). You'll want to play it to the end because this is one of those games where you'll want to see what happens next. And sometimes what happens next can scare the daylights out of you!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best version of Resident Evil 2!!!
This version of Resident Evil 2 is by far the best one of all. Others might not think so, but who cares? First off, the graphics are much more detailed and really stand out. But, that's only if you have the expansion pack. Without it, they are pixelated and choppy. The FMV clips are like watching a bootleg movie, but still descent anyway. Also, this version has great extras like Blood Color change, Violence Control, EX Files, Randomizer, and added zombies not in the Playstation or PC versions (You see them close to the end, and they're really creepy.) I was totally blown away by this port. It definately is a must have. If you never played this game before, I suggest this one. Especially with all the added stuff. Have Fun!

5-0 out of 5 stars scares me to death
ive had this game for about 3 or 4 months... first horror game i ever got... i can tell you this made up my mind about buying another horror game... to scary for my blood.... if you love solving puzzles and shooting vicous dogs and skin eating zombies... if you love shaking at night while trying to sleep get this game ... Amazon.com Review

From the second you plug this game into your Game Boy Color, it'sapparent that Pokémon Puzzle Challenge is essentially theTetris Attack that was released some time ago for the Nintendo 64 andGame Boy systems.

Pokémon characters abound; your young cousin or little sister should beable to rattle off many of their names effortlessly. The game is designed foryoung gamers, and encourages problem solving--something that all parents shouldwant their children to learn while playing a game. Thankfully, the game controlsare easy to pick up, and the tasks are easy to execute.

For a puzzle game, this one has a good number of gameplay options and modes.Puzzle University looks simple, at first, but it proves to be a realbrainteaser. In this mode, you must clear the entire screen in a limited numberof moves--a twist that makes the game surprisingly addictive. It's good to seethat Pokémon Puzzle Challenge has made some minor improvements onthe now-classic game of Tetris.

Naturally, the graphics are better on the Nintendo 64 version; but, if you'vegot a long ride planned, or that plane's been delayed, this game will turn hoursinto minutes. If you're looking for a family-friendly title for all of the GameBoy Color users in your family, look no further than Pokémon PuzzleChallenge. --Todd Mowatt

Pros:

  • Challenging and extremely addictive Tetris variant
  • Fun for just about anyone
Cons:
  • Repetitive voice samples quickly become annoying

5-0 out of 5 stars Addictive and fun! A very well designed game!
As an adult (29 years old) I usually shy away from anything Pokemon, but when I saw my nephew playing this I decided to give it a shot. Now I can't put it down! It's a game that's very similar to Tetris only in this game you try to line up colors. This game is very well programmed and polished. The neatest thing about it is how you can totally ignore all the cutesy Pokemon stuff if you want to and just play the game. This makes it great for kids and adults!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Positively-Pokemon Puzzler!
Hey, it's Tetris Attack, the greatest puzzle game of all time--in Pokemon wallpaper! A treat for Pokemon fans, a treat for puzzle game funs--one of the best games on the GameBoy color. The colors are brilliant, the control is tight, and there are many modes of play. Nearly infinite hours of gameplay and replay. I love this version more than my N64 version because it includes Gold/Siver Pokemon like Pichu and Togepi and I can take it with me anywhere. A must-buy for Pokemon fans and Puzzle game fans.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun, fun, fun!
Don't be turned off by the cutesy Pokemon theme. This is "Tetris Attack" (from the SNES), but with lots of extra modes. The creators took advantage of the Pokemon world to create some neat challenge modes. This game is extremely addictive. I recommend playing this on a Gameboy Advance SP so that you'll have a lighted screen. If not, you may have some eye strain trying to see the small blocks.

ADDICTIVE!
This game will steal your soul. I'm not kidding. I turned it on once, planning to only play for a few minutes, and ended up glued to the spot (possibly drooling) for the remainder of the day. I might have fossilized if it hadn't been time for dinner.

But there's a downside as well. It's very hard. My 11-year-old sister, a much more rabid Pokemon fan than myself, has informed me of the different ways to play the game so as to win the "extra Pokemon" (Sentret, Marrill, etc.) but it is almost impossible to do so. I have had the game for over a year and have still not managed to win Sentret. Still, it's not as if I'm going to stop trying. (Read: it's not as if I CAN stop trying.) :-)

5-0 out of 5 stars finally, a game I can play!
We had purchased the Gameboy Advance a year ago, along with Mario, F-Zero and a few other titles. Those games just about killed the fun of the GBA machine. My 6 year old could never advance far enough and then I couldn't get her past the stages, so the GBA didn't get much use. Then I bought this game and some others for an upcoming trip and this game, Pokemon Puzzle Challenge is a winner. No getting stuck on a spot and then getting killed and having to start over. The variety on this Pokemon game is great and I really enjoy it. It looked great on the GBA system also. We also purchased the Puyo Pop, and although it is kind of similar in idea, it was a game my daughter liked and has stuck with. That one is a little harder to learn, but when it clicks, it is an easy concept and by changing the levels of difficulty, you can suit it to your own level(I live on the EASY level!). Even if you aren't into Pokemon, this is a fine game. I ignore the pokemon figures, much to my daughters dismay, and it has no effect on gameplay. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Don't "swallow this".
I have to admit, I was pretty excited that an evil dead video game was to be released. I also thought a "resident evil" format would also be a good way to present the game. Nope. Where is Capcom when you need them? I couldn't play this game much longer than 10 minutes before I threw it down in disgust. The idea is great, but it just wasn't pulled off properly. The play control is seriously bad, the voice overs just get annoying, and the over all feel of the game isn't what it could have been. The funny thing is, I thought since they had so many delays in its release that it would be really great and polished. Wrong again. Not enough redeeming qualities. Evil dead was a great "B" movie! This doesn't even rate as a "C" game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Okay, maybe I was a bit harsh...
I gave the Playstation port of Evil Dead: Hail to the King a bad review. I don't know if it's the Dreamcast's improved graphics and load times that swayed me, or if it simply grew on me. I was addicted to this game for a couple of days, and now that I've played it through, I can give a fair review.

First off, I don't know why people are saying that this is Evil Dead 4. Bruce Campbell has been quoted as saying that, and he's also been quoted as saying the "S-Mart" ending to Army of Darkness isn't the official one (see Army of Darkness- Director's Cut to see the "official" ending). Well that's confusing, seeing as this game picks up where the American "happy" ending of AOD left off.

One more thing worth mentioning is that you can often get lost in a part of the map. They give you no clue as to what to do next, and a few times, you must complete objectives in order before progressing, which makes for a frustrating bit of wandering. Not to mention getting lost because they don't tell you how to exit the ROOM. Sometimes you've got to rely on guess work to see you through.

The end boss is simply pathetic, as there's no strategy involved at all, you simply trade blows until one of you is dead (which, now that I think about it, is the same for every "basic" enemy in the game). That's no fun, but after you've spent hours driving at the end cinema, it feels worth it to grit your teeth through a cheap end boss.

The soundtrack is fantastic, with booming orchestra music, and choirs singing in a creepy "The Omen" sort of way. It adds a lot to the game's atmosphere, and even picks up some of the slack for Bruce's voice overs that seem a little less than enthusiastic.

If you can overlook the notorious instant re-spawning, and are a loyal Evil Dead fan, then why not give it a try? If you're willing to see it through to the end, it might sate your thirst for Evil Dead for a while, in spite of it's confusing layout, amateur combat system, blocky graphics, etc.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hail to THQ king baby!
This game has it all: It has horror, comedy, and suspense! It is resident evil but 5 times better! I cant wait till i can get Boomstick! The only downside is: IT HAS AN END! lol.... Bruces voice acting is AMAZING! Lines such as "Say hi to disco for me" are incredible!

1-0 out of 5 stars Not worth it at any price
A very below-par game that spoils the memory of the movies.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not the worst game in the world, but certainly not the best
When I heard about an Evil Dead video game, I didn't know what to think. Well, the game isn't real bad, but its not good at all either. First off, the characters are blocky and the animation stiff, the graphics look more 32 bit than 128 bit. Not to mention the constantly respawning enemies, they're good for a scare, but they keep the game frustrating, and the controls could have been done a lot better. However, here is where Evil Dead fans can rejoice: the great Bruce Campbell offers his voice bringing Ash to life, plus so much attention to detail has been paid to the environments; the cabin is straight out of Evil Dead 2, and the midevil stages look directly copied from Army of Darkness. All in all, this game could have been an all time classic if the controls and gameplay would have gotten as much attention as the detail of the game did, Evil Dead fans will have to play it either way, but those who don't like the Evil Dead universe won't dig the game. ... Editorial Review

Gran Turismo is the new definition of a great racing game. With wonderful graphics, TV-like replays, and an entire host of cars to chosefrom, this instant classic goes beyond a driving game into the realm of drivingsimulator. You can choose between the arcade version (featuring classic carssuch as Corvettes and Aston Martins) or the simulation, which is the true heartof the game. The simulation starts you on an entire racing career beginningwith a cheap used car and second-rate tracks. You will find yourself longing forthe Dodge Viper as your sad $10,000 starting fund puts you behind the wheelof a used Honda Prelude or Mazda RX-7. As you win races, acquire money, and earn advanced licenses, you are able to buy better cars and race in morecompetitive matches right up to the GT World Cup.

Complete with cunning renditions of actual car models and a very playableinterface, this game is great for the serious racing simulation fan and the casualgamer. It promises instant action and the kind of gradual advancement thatkeeps gamers playing for weeks. While the license tests can be hard, the funtrack design and sheer number (140-plus) and variety of cars to choose frommakes this an exciting race experience. --Allen Stewart

5-0 out of 5 stars A racing classic!
I was looking for a racing video game for my new playstation, and everyone I talked to told me to get Gran Turismo. And now I know why. It's so fun! It's challenging, but not impossible. The graphics are good and realistic, and there are tons of cars to choose from. I really like the simulation mode where you can race for money and buy new cars or upgrade old ones. I'm a huge fan of my Dodge Viper with racing stripes.

One thing that's not so great about this game is the space that it takes up on your memory card. Just to have a simulation mode game going, you need 5 empty blocks. If you want to get into saving replays and stuff, it can use up to 15 blocks. Memory cards are expensive... I'm not willing to devote an entire memory card to one game, no matter how great it is.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Racing Game Ever!
As many have said, Gran Turismo is the single best racing game ever. Actually, I wouldn't even call it a game, it truly is much more of a simulator. The graphics, handling, speed, sounds and cars are all 100% realistic. It even gives the correct horsepower and weight of each car. It lets you choose from many different car companies, and in the Arcade mode, different classes of cars from A (best) to C (worst). The game is extremely fun and has an endless replay value. You can choose between Arcade Mode, where you can choose any car you want and race, or Simulation mode where you have to buy cars and earn money from races. The game truly is amazing. If you're thinking it sounds easy, you're wrong. Realstic handling and brakes make running the tracks a real strategy and getting licenses very challenging. There isn't much more you could possibly want out of a racing game. Plus, the documentation is pretty impressive.

5-0 out of 5 stars My first review on Amazon.com
This is my first review on Amazon.com I write loads of reviews on Amazon.co.uk and this is my review
I already have GT2 and demo of GT1 and I really love this game
It's great Even if you're not a racing fan this is the game for you!!! I like GT2 as well but I think GT1's better but how come The best gets better
I'm really looking forward to playing GT3!

5-0 out of 5 stars cool
This is the best game EVER. Get it or be square

5-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good
Effortlessly dusting the competition, Gran Turismo flashes past the finish line with slick controls and stellar gameplay. It's easily the best of the PlayStation's realistic racing games.
Starting off in the garage, Turismo scores big with 166 real-life cars, ranging from the lowly Honda Civic to the high-end dream machines like the Corvette, Viper, and Toyota Castrol Supra. The excellent selection of tracks delivers plenty of variety, and Turismo performs like a winner with no draw-in, speedy load times, and blazing-fast action. But gameplay is where Turismo really rocks. A fast, pick-up-and-play Arcade mode, along with topnotch two-player split-screen racing, positions Turismo at the head of the pack for casual racing fans. And hardcore racers who delve into the amazing Sim mode will uncover impressive depth. It's almost like fantasy league racing-you test for licenses, participate in a wide array of events, buy and maintain as many cars as you can afford, and even upgrade their performances with a vast multitude of parts.
Need for Speed III may have more flash, but Turismo's got more game. It's one of the must-buy titles of this summer. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars this pack is not exceptable
This pack was not at all what I wanted. Although it has a battery pack there is hardly any space for games and the fanny pack itself is pretty ugly. My kids felt embarressed to walk around with it, as they are very into fashion and the fanny pack was not at all fashionable. As a warning: If you have 12+ year old kids do not get this for them, they'll hate you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Value! Gets 5 stars in my book!
If you love F1 you will love this game. Ok, Graphics and Sounds are not as clean as the EA version but it depends on what you are looking for in a F1 Game: The overall Gameplay is closer to the real thing then any other Racing game in terms of all rules & regulations etc. (On the EA version you'll find a Minardi on the Pole position!???!) Forget Arcade here..... Learn the tracks, feel the car in wet and dry, practice and your in, just like the real drivers. Replay is a beauty, view from ANY CAR, from ANY ANGLE! Drivers are agressive and have real character. Menu rocks with real Samples of 18000 rpm! Spectator Mode is cool also. Save your Game almost any time, after the Warm up or after a great Hot lap and race later. Couple bugs found in heavy crashes.... froze on me once! Other than that, nothing but fun or should I say stress.... I give this a 5, I love F1. Perhaps the average Gamer will give this a 3.5 - 4.0. but I can recommend this to any real F1 fan.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best serious racing game on the PS2
After getting fed up with EA's F1 2001 (PS2) game, mostly because of raised expectations playing GT3 (car handling, not graphics- try turning off TCS and ABS), I decided to check out Sony Livepool's attempt, and now I am quite addicted. This is quite a different game than EA's entry, with far more realistic (and predictable) physics, savable car setups, and much better opponent AI.

While this game could certainly be improved in the graphics and sound departments, the gameplay is where this excells. In fact, I expect to log 100's of hours playing this thing- the gameplay is that good. Most people will be turned off by the learning curve, but that is actually where the fun begins. You can really feel yourself pushing the car to its limits, and the setups can really have an effect on how the car handles. If you screw up (and it'll happen quite a lot), it's super easy to just restart. I've heard plenty of complaints about playing the game with the Dual-shock controller, but I have had absolutely no problems with this. I'm sure it's awesome with the force-feedback wheel.

Why is this the best serious racing game on the PS2? GT3 would probably win this hands down if it had better opponent AI, but while it's easily the best driving game, Formula One 2001 offers a far more enjoyable racing experience.

While this game has its flaws, the essentials are there for a wonderful gameplay experience. I can't wait to play the sequel!

5-0 out of 5 stars REAL DRIVERS ONLY!!
THIS GAME MAY NOT EXCELL IN THE GRAPHICS DEPARTMENT, BUT THE PHYSICS AND SKILL NEEDED TO DRIVE A F-1 CAR ARE REALLY ACCURATE. IT WILL TAKE TIME TO MASTER BUT THAT IS THE FUN PART. IF ONLY IT HAD A CAREER MODE IT WOULD BE THE BEST EVER!

5-0 out of 5 stars Much Better Than Newest EA F1 Title
Having played F1 2002 for a little while, I decided to give this title a chance, despite the fact that it came out last year. When I first bought this title, I was a little thrown off by the car set-up menus. But having sat down for a couple of hours and just messing around with it, I find it isn't that hard at all. Sure EA has a "normal set-up" mode, where the computer sets the car up for you. I've even tried the "simulation set-up" mode, but the car is too twitchy and will not remain on the track for too long.

Knowing that this title was created by a team of designers who live in the UK, I can see that they really know what they are doing when it comes to making an F1 title for the PS2. I don't think that the folks over at EA have ever seen or been to an F1 race, which shows in the game play. Sure this title has graphics that aren't as good as EA's, but the tracks do look a little better than on EA's title.

If this company were to consider making a new F1 title, I think that the following should be added to the new game:
1) An in-car view while racing. Just looking over the head of the driver isn't the same. Some people might like that view, but it takes away from the experience. This would also make the mirrors usable during the race.

2) A tutorial on car set-up would be nice. For people new to F1, it would help explain how changing certain things on the car change the performance of the car.

Keep everything else. Who needs sports cards in an F1 title. I've got them all on the EA title and it doesn't really change anything for the game. Having to pass a test just to race? Forget that too. That works for GT3, but not here. Keep the test mode on this title, it helps you learn how to set the car up. I'm glad that I gave this title another chance.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for Parent & Child Together
I sat down with my two daughters ages 5 and 3 and played this game WITH them. We had a great time with it. They loved the adventure and I helped them to understand how to look for Ken and follow the clues. Now that they have been through the game they can play it alone. Especially my 5 year old. All of the clues change for the next game. I give it a thumbs up!

4-0 out of 5 stars Fine for an older child
My daughter is 9 and she has enjoyed all the "Detective Barbie" games in the past. We own the first 2 games for the PC and purchased this one for our Playstation. Both my daughter and my son (6 - almost 7) love solving the mysteries. I think Mattel should just "up" the age on this game. It is way too hard for a 5 year old. I agree with the other reviews on this point. In my opnion, most barbie games are good for 7 & up. (Secret Agent, Super Sports etc.)

1-0 out of 5 stars This game is too complicated for me, let alone my 5-year-old
Do I have to give it a star at all? This is by far the worst game my daughter owns. It's so difficult to play that my daughter needs my help constantly. And I find it extremely slow, and frustrating. Trust me, this game will aggravate both you AND your child. Save your money, folks.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not for Barbie-age kids
This game is too complicated for my 7 year old. Even with my help she was frustrated. By the time she is old enough to play this game alone she will think she is too old to do anything with Barbie in the title. Save your money.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not So Easy
I bought this game with high expections for my 5 year old Barbie- loving daughter who has just begun to take an interest in the Playstation the past few months. You are Barbie in this game trying to solve a who-dunnit mystery by talking to passengers and crew on a cruise ship and at various ports. Manuevering is not so easy when more advanced reading skils are required--older kids would probably fare much better. With much of my help, we made it far enough to discover the missing item, however my daughter lost interest since she couldn't do much of the game by herself. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This is real boxing!!!!!
Hi, I love this game. The most realistic boxing game out there. Your boxer is able to bob and weave, block, duck, slide sideways, jump back and lunge forward. This game is not a button smasher. You must use boxing strategy. Has over 40 fighters. Each with different styles. Keeps records of your boxer. It has a replay save also to watch your best fights. Good graphics. Good controls. This game kills KOK 2002, Mike Tyson boxing, Ready to Rumble, and I'm sure the new Rocky boxing game can't compete with this game either. This game is for TRUE BOXING FANS!!!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars FOR TRUE BOXING FANS
Like many other gamers wrote before me, I also had low expectations for this game when I purchased it. Another drawback for me was that I got it used and it didn't have the manual. However, after taking some time to learn the controls, I found the game addictive.

The best feature about the game is that your character does need to use boxing skills to prevail. Some of the opponents are sort of goofy looking, but you tend to overlook that when they start pounding on you in the ring.

I'm in agreement that the inability to block punches takes away from game being near perfect, but for me, Victorious Boxers blows away Knockout Kings. This is coming from a huge EA fan, too.

My PS2 will only play silver-back discs, now. Thank goodness this game is one of the ones I can use. I don't even miss the Knockout Kings 2001/02 I have. Get this game. You won't be disappointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Greatest Boxing Game Ever!
When I looked at the cover, I knew that this game was good. Indeed, this game delivered a realistic graphics, great player control, and many more.

Here's my comments on VB
Pros: Great graphics, manueverable players, every characters has their unique boxing style.
Cons: Lack of combos, hard bosses

I highly recommend this game to everyone. I'm sure you don't want to miss this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Greatest Boxing Game ever!!!!!
From the first time I saw this game in the local movie store, I knew it would be fun. Victorious Boxers has it all. An abundance of boxers, unique gameplay and control, realism, and a good replay value. The fighters are based on a Japanimation cartoon called Hajime No Ippo, so don't expect Tyson or Lewis in here. But every fighter has its own style, so you will learn various styles. The one thing that isn't so good is the voice acting in Story Mode. Every round, it's the same thing. But anyway, this is the greatest boxing game around...

4-0 out of 5 stars Good boxing game...Much like the anime series Hajime No Ippo
Just like the series it's derived from, the story mode of the game pretty much mirrors the sequences of opponents he faces. If you've watched the anime and already know the opponents, it's interesting to see them fight in the game and actually try your hand at beating them. Mashiba has that nasty flicker jab and Hayami has that annoying shotgun punch.

As one reviewer said, set your left analog stick to expert control and use the L1 for sway. You can control Ippo much, much better that was. The default controller settings leave much to be desired. I think most people who complained about the controls never bothered trying to change the settings for them or even the camera angles to suit their fighting style better. After setting the left analog stick to expert and sway to L1, I fought alot better and covered more ground around the ring. Fighting-wise, it's a pretty well balanced game with the standard straights, hooks and uppercuts plus some special moves per boxer. You will do alot of bobbing and weaving in this game as there is an absence of blocking which is too bad as that would've made this game better especially near the last opponents who become very, very challenging. I really, really like this game and recommend others to watch the series to appreciate the game a bit more. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Most wrestling video games try to capitalize on well-known licenses, butend up falling short in their portrayal of TV-style wrestling. Not so theacclaimed Fire Pro Wrestling games. This translation for the GBA keepsthe tradition of play over personality intact. Any real fan of the body blow andthe suplex should want this game.

Featuring 150 different wrestlers from which to choose, each with his or her ownmoves and finishers--as well as the option to combine more than 1,200 techniquesand styles to create your own grapplers for the 3-D isometric ringside--FirePro Wrestling doesn't lack variety. You can even link up your GBA unit tofight against your friends or trade wrestlers you've created.

You can also play against the computer, which turns out to be a pretty goodopponent. The game takes full advantage of both the A and B and the shoulderbuttons, so the control is solid. Getting used to the time delay for punches andkicks can be frustrating, however. The manual does an excellent job in teachingyou the tremendous variety of moves, and once you've learned what you can do,the gameplay is extremely satisfying.

About the only thing lacking from the game is familiar personalities. Inoffering so many fighters, each seems rather bland, and one is often a thinvariation on the last. Of course, your own imagination can let you add aRock-like or Mankind-esque wrestler, if that's what you want. Anyway, it's good funfor a handheld. Can you smell what your Game Boy is cookin'? --Andrew S.Bub

Pros:

  • A wide variety of wrestlers, plus the option to make your own
  • Lots and lots of moves
  • Trade wrestlers and play head-to-head by linking up
Cons:
  • Could use a bit more personality
  • Slight control lag

4-0 out of 5 stars First wrestler for GBA is a blast!
Finally the Advance Gameboy is here, and the first wrestler available is Firepro. I have heard much about the series of wreslting titles, and I must say this is a good wrestling game. With a gameplay style a tad different than fighting games I am used to, Firepro is a title that rewards timing and patience. It comes with many wrestlers, and has an extremely indepth create-a-wrestler function. Styles range from typical american pro wrestler to ultimate fighting style, so the type of character you make can have quite a range.

On the downside, the game has no championship mode, where the player would play a "storyline" mode. This seriously hampers replay value, as players are left to fight one-on-one matches without any serious reward. Also, unlike some of the other released games where you could have 4 players play off of one cartridge, Firepro demans that each player have a seperate cartridge as well.

All in all, a good start for the Advance. A good solid wrestler that will have you learning the ins and outs for a while.

3-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic game, until you see the in ring action...
Looking at what this game has to offer, you can only stand back at the features and say wow... until you play it. There are several modes, exhibition matches (normal, cage 'death match,' UFC octagon 'gruesome' and a battle royal), tournaments, (up to 16 wrestlers), leagues, (up to 64 man round robin), survival which pits you in an endurance match, audience match where you need to please the audience to a wrestling style and finally the edit mode. The edit mode is the most extensive edit mode in the US (but not Japan), where you can create up to 74 of your own wrestlers with moves, intelligence, looks and attributes. One of the most astonishing things is that the game comes with 150 wrestlers from all over the world, even wrestlers from WWF, WCW, ECW, Michinoku Pro, Toryumon, AJPW, NJPW, however for copyright reasons the names and the looks of the wrestlers have been changed. After all of these amazing features, then you play the game. Ouch, it takes us back to the days of the NES in terms of graphics, sound and game play! The wrestlers are very small, the controls are very laggy and the wrestlers end up doing the same moves constantly. Please do not pay more than fifteen bucks for this game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fire Pro Wrestling is awesome.
This is a great wrestling game. The best for the GBA next to the second version. You have to rename all of the wrestlers you know. This is to protect the copyright issues. A few of the hints to rename a)the nicknames chosen b)the names chosen and c) the finishers chosen.
to unlock the hidden wresters you must go to the EDIT menu

select EDIT SUPERSTAR

go to NAME ENTRY.

on the first line type ALL

on the line below it type STYLES

and on the line next to that type CLEAR.

This should unlock all the hidden wrestlers.

[. . . ] To protect infringment rights, bam! Entertainment has made up fake names for the pro wrestlers. Most WCW and WWF stars will be recognizable by name, appearence or finisher. Some of the Japanese wrestlers will also be easy to identify by the same three traits listed above. I don't mind the 2-D graphics. This is a hell of alot better than WWF Road to Wrestlemania, which sucked completely. My mistake it'a [. . .] to unlock everybody. [. . .] is the hidden character code for Fire Pro 2. Sorry for the mix up. My bad.

4-0 out of 5 stars not to shabby but the graphics- EWWWWWW!
FIre pro wrestling is a very fun, very hard game with great sound and above average game play. It was one of the first releases for the original game boy advance. The character creator is great and is actually better then most of the N64 wrestling characte creators. the bad news is, the graphics look like ... and once a match starts, the only way to stop it is to win, lose, or turn off your gameboy. ONe of the coolest things to do is to set the # of player to 0 and then watch the match like a TV show. half the time the wreastlers only grapple though if you are using created wrestlers. over all:
- Gameplay 5/6
- Graphics 3/6
- Sound 6/6

Editorial Review

WWF Attitude is just like its subjects: big. Over 40 World Wrestling Federation wrestlers--with bigger-than-life bodies and personalities to match--take to the ring, including The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, D-Generation X and Triple H. Wrestle as an individual or tag team, create your own pay-per-view event, or choose from a wide variety of options for matches and gameplay.

As the wrestlers comes out, their theme music is played, and they go through their trademark moves. From there the action gets a little slow. While the crowd sounds very realistic, the actual moves are executed rather slowly. Plus Acclaim has included a function that causes the wrestlers to lock arms if they get too close. This is designed to keep a player from using the same moves over and over again. It doesn't work--an entire match can be won by just hitting the kick button. What it does do is force numerous arm locks that do little damage and can turn monotonous. However, executing a great move like a body slam is cool--when it works.

Hard-core professional wrestling fans will appreciate the accurate character models and faithful reproductions of signature moves of their favorite wrestlers. While those who are into fast and furious wrestling action will be better served looking elsewhere, fans who enjoy watching the pros will enjoy this game's cinematic attitude. --Allen Stewart

Pros:

  • Excellent graphics
  • Great crowd noise
  • Awesome moves--when they work
  • Huge cast of wrestlers
Cons:
  • Slow gameplay
  • Same basic move used over and over
  • Basic moves are slow, and exciting moves are hard to execute

4-0 out of 5 stars Attitude's realistic with great graphics
WWF Attitude is a very fun game. That being said, let me talk about it's negatives. The game can get a little slow and monotonous in long matches such as in the "I Quit" mode. Even though the crowd will boo you, matches can usually be won with nothing but constant kicks and punches. And although over 40 wrestlers are included, some of your favorites like Big Show, Chris Jericho, and Test are not. The games Pay-Per-View mode is a new and worthwhile feature, and the game play modes are endless. The great graphics and wrestler entrances alone make this game worthy of four stars. A recommended buy to all WWF fans.

4-0 out of 5 stars BUY IT !
This game is the most electrifying game in gaming entertainment, it's got over 20 game modes which I didn't believe when I first saw the back cover. But it's true, 1 on 1, tag team, hardcore, cage, survivor series, royal rumble, battle royal, first blood, stable match, iron man match, tornado match, war, handicap, lumberjack, finisher only, i quit and soooo much more. I love the career mode and the create a wrestler is amazing. The entrances are good but some are pretty messed up. The loading times are horrible in this game, it takes about 20 seconds to load an entrance. However the game is worth buying. My favourite mode is the Pay Per View mode where you get to create the wrestling event of your dreams. This game will keep you entertained until WWF Smackdown comes out.

This maybe the best wrestling game for playsttion 1. Look how advanced it is.

i have only rented the game but i can still tell you how good it is... actually the graphics are surprisingly good i was in aw. nut anywaythe game has a ton of good options of games to choose from(1 and 2 players)! so i am a fan of the dukes so maybe thats why i like the game so much but it is worth buying!

5-0 out of 5 stars I Love this game
If any of you out there are a big dukes fan you have to get this game! You get new cars like daisy's old car (THE ROAD RUNNER)
plus everybodys favorite "THE GENERAL LEE" (driven by Bo and Luke Duke)
GET THIS GAME YOU WILL LOVE IT!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Dukesfest
A mediocre game that you will beat within hours of its arrival. But well worth the purchase for the cut scenes that mimic a Dukes of Hazzard plot. For those of us who watched the original show as kids, this is the next best thing to reruns (stupid TNN stopped airing it!).

5-0 out of 5 stars Better than the Original!!
This is one of my favorite games for ps1! I must admit that when I first played it..I hated it! But, after I played more and more.. I realized it was much better because of the controls. *i.e. driving is MUCH simpler if you use the hand brake, jumping is more fun and easier to accomplish while using the horn thanks to simply pressing the up arrow, ALL of the voices are portrayed; that is the actors who are still with us, and the graphics are much better! I LOVE THIS GAME and I'd gladly buy any more sequels as long as they are produced in the same manner as this one. Thank you kindly for your time and patience~

5-0 out of 5 stars AweSome!
I have had and used this card for over 7 years. It is awesome, never had a problem. For the consummate gamer this card is a must. With 480 save slots it means never switching cards again.

1-0 out of 5 stars a waste of money
the major problem with this memory card is durability, after 2 months of use the card starts generating errors and certian pages of saved games become inaccessable, eventually it will function as a single memory card then later cease to function period. you' have better luck with standard memory cards.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not worth your money
There is too many requirements to work ONE card.I saved a Gran Turimo 2 game on it, and the next day, it wasn't there. It erased it. :o( Don't waste your money this card.

1-0 out of 5 stars Defective. Waste of money.
This was the first memory card i bought when i got my Playstation. I had about 14 hours worth of Sim City cities built and saved on this card, and a few other games, when it just stopped working. All the files were completely erased. When i pushed the buttons on it the numbers wouldn't even show up.

I would suggest just buying the little 15 block cards.

4-0 out of 5 stars Follow the Manual
If u go to the interact website, there is a manual there. Follow the precuations and the warnings and the troubleshooting guide and you should be fine. 5-0 out of 5 stars This is why I bought a Playstation in the first place
I love WWF Smackdown!, and I've got the calluses on my thumbs to prove it. I hear that WWE Smackdown! 2: Know Your Role is even better, but this first Smackdown! title puts every other wrestling game I have ever played to shame. There is room for improvement, but there's little not to love about the wrestling action unleashed from this Playstation CD. You have to start off with the wrestlers; you get all of the big names from WWF (now WWE) at the time, and most of them look great. Chyna's animated character looks atrocious, with a tiny head set atop a mountain of muscles, but I have few other complaints in this department. I am a fan of The Rock, and this game has really captured the style and look of my favorite wrestler, all the way down to the People's Eyebrow. The moves also look fantastic and true to form, and the People's Elbow is a triumph of showmanship and fun. Every wrestler has his/her big finishing move recreated in impressive detail, but even the little moves are impressive. From the simple eye gouge to the dropkick or stomp or leg lock or bodyslam, the little details are all there to enjoy. When you Irish whip your opponent into the turnbuckle, he goes bouncing off, staggers, and falls just like the guys do in real life. Knock a guy to his rear end in the turnbuckle, and you can stand on his throat using the ropes for leverage; it's the little things like this that make this game so fantastic. The controls are a little strange at first, but they quickly become second nature, and the best part about this aspect of the game is the diversity of moves you are able to execute. When your opponent is lying in the ring, you can choose to try and cripple the guy's leg or get him in a semi-chokehold, with your action depending to some degree upon the angle in which you approach. Then, when you've beaten your opponent to a pulp and the timing is right, you need only press one button (as opposed to an awkward combination of buttons and joystick moves) in order to execute your patented finishing move; of course, you'll want to do a little taunting first just to rub it in. There are no pauses or hiccups at all in the action, I should note.

The variety of matches is outstanding. You can choose between normal matches, tag team matches, handicap matches pitting one against two, Battle Royals, Royal Rumbles, King of the Ring matches, hardcore matches where chairs, belts, and microphones are in easy rich and are encouraged for use in the ring, Anywhere Fall matches, cage matches, survival matches, and I Quit matches (which are especially fun). Not only that, you can have or even control special referees for any match. I love being a ref because you get to beat the heck out of either or both of the actual wrestlers, and you can control the outcome of the match by choosing the speed at which your three-count is made. If all this isn't enough, there are a number of backstage fighting areas you can access (although the fact that you have to Irish whip your opponent into the backstage area makes this a little clumsier to pull off than it need be).

But wait, there's more. Not only does each wrestler have his own special introduction as he makes his/her way to the ring, the game features clips from backstage between some matches; this sounds pretty cool, but these clips soon become boring and frivolous. You can choose to wrestle in Season Mode, taking your wrestler through each month on his/her own quest for the belt while watching or skipping over matches you don't actually participate in. You also have the ability to create your very own wrestler and let him wreak some havoc in the big leagues, which is an option a lot of players should love. Perhaps the best option of all, though, is the ability to set up the matches of your choice in Pay-Per-View events. The only real complaint I have about this game is the fact that there is no option for match commentary. I know that commentary can quickly become tiresome and repetitive, but it does make for a more realistic wrestling environment. Other than this one missing option, though, WWF Smackdown! pretty much has it all, and I will be laying the smacketh down for some time to come, I can assure you.

3-0 out of 5 stars WWF Letdown!
WWF Smackdown! is a very good wrestling game, but by no means is it outstanding. The wrestling action is terrific, graphics are good, speed of the gameplay is amazing, but for every aspect of the game that excites you, there is one that disappoints you. The amount of wrestlers is ok, but not enough to satisfy a die hard WWF fan, the season mode is decent, but I've seen Undertaker as the European champ, so there goes realism, and the backstage stories aren't all they're cracked up to be. If I even began to describe my grievance with the so-called create a wrestler, my head would pop, it is horrible, it's like seven or eight giant steps backward from any wrestling game with the option on the market. And my other major grievance: NO DX MUSIC OR VIDEO? What is that about? If you own Wrestlemania 2000,don't even waste your time with Smackdown.

1-0 out of 5 stars THQ completely ruins the genre of wrestling games
This will also be my review for every subsequent SmackDown! game. After WCW started to lose popularity, THQ started to do WWF-themed wrestling games. When it did, even beginning on the N64, there were hints that they were turning what was a good system into complete crap. They finally succeded (so to speak, if that was their actual intent) when they started the SmackDown! series. I have no problems with the graphics, the entrances, or the sound in this game. I have the biggest problem however with the gameplay and how the game controls.

First off, they gave the game arcade style feel and controls. Big mistake. They also made it more like the actual show: you have to continually punch the guy before you can start doing grappling moves. I may be in the minority, but constantly punching a guy gets old fast. I want to be able to start throwing suplexes and hitting piledrivers right off the bat. Secondly, the game's A.I. has gotten extremely intelligent. Too intelligent. The game can kick your ass unless you're a great gamer, and I'm just average, maybe a little below. Mainly because of the counter system. The game goes like this: punch, punch, punch, punch, grapple, move-counter move-counter move, etc. You'll get countered excessively, and your counters won't work most of the time. Yes, it is a lot like the actual wrestling you watch on TV, but for a wrestling game to be fun in my opinion, it can't be realistic in terms of following how an actual wrestling match would go. I don't want to spend over an hour or more in a match, 15-30 minutes is plenty, unless it's a Royal Rumble-type match.

THQ threw out the window the great grappling engine they had with the N64 games and has replaced it with this tripe. I honestly don't understand what the fans see in this series of game. I guess if you like your matches in the game to follow how the matches on the show work, and you enjoy the actual wrestling to a be a chore and full of non-stop punching and countering, than this is the game for you. If you want an actual FUN wrestling game, then I suggest you stick with THQ's WCW games on the N64. At least then, they had the right idea.

3-0 out of 5 stars The one that started it all!
Now, I only had one game to go. So I decided to buy the first SmackDown! game. I think I played it once, and that was all. Compared to the rest of the SmackDown! game, even SmackDown! 3, this game is pretty bad. Now at the time, I'm sure it was good, but just not now.

The graphics are pretty bad, worse then SmackDown! 2. But, again, this is a Playstation game, so they're pretty good. There are only 30 superstars to choose from, which isn't very many. There are a whole lot of matches in Exhibition mode either. There's single, tag team, handicap, Battle Royal, Royal Rumble, King of the Ring, hardcore, anywhere fall, Cage, survival, Special Referee, and I Quit. But, you can hold title defenses in Exhibition, which makes me happy.

Season mode is pretty boring. I think I played it once, and only for a few minutes. I'm not gonna bother saying much about it though.

Create mode is pretty bad though. There's Create a Pay-Per-View, which is almost the same as in SmackDown! 2. And then there's Create a Superstar. IT SUCKS! You can only choose default heads, upper bodies, and lower bodies. You have barely any control over anything. It just plain sucks. It's one of the reasons why I have barely ever played SmackDown! 1, because Create a Superstar is one of my favorite things.

There's also Ranking and Belt Holder modes again, which are the same as in SmackDown! 2.

All in all, this is definitely the worst game in the SmackDown! series. If you have a Playstation, just stick with SmackDown! 2. Even if you want to collect all of the games in the series, I'm pretty sure that you'll be wasting your money if you buy this game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Give it some time and it's got you!
This is not a game for those of you with a short attention span. It takes a while to get to the action, but it's worth it in the end. First off, the graphics are superb, a little dark at times, but I think that adds to the eerie nature of the game. Turn out the lights and play for a while, it's downright spooky at times. The sound effects match well with the whole feel of the game and include some scary death screams and such. The real reason this game is good, however, is that once you get started the game is almost completely non-linear. You can go just about anywhere at anytime. For the average gamer this can become tiresome, but if you are like me it just adds to the challenge. Trying to figure out where to go and what to do next are sometimes difficult, but I hate games that are too easy. The amount of time it takes to figure out these challenges means a lot of playing for the price of a game. I spent 30 or so hours beating the game, and for me that means pennies per hour of entertainment. If you give up easily and don't like a challenge, this game is not for you. If, on the other hand, you are a hardcore gamer like me you'll eat this one up.

5-0 out of 5 stars fun in the scum
This game is interesting on all sorts of levels. The Dreamcast graphics and sound are fantastic, and pretty creepy. Play control is very fluid and easy, and it isn't impossible to make tricky jumps. This game starts off slow, and it takes a while to get into, but it gets very engaging very quickly. The story is very complex, and it takes about 50 hours to complete this thing. Still, there's nothing like stalking serial killers and chainsaw-wielding zombies with an automatic weapon in each hand.

5-0 out of 5 stars You'll Get MUCH More than Your Money's Worth...
Trust Me, this game will keep You going for a LONG Time! You won't believe the Content that this Single Disc Game has to Offer until You Play it. It was Much More than I Expected and I Highly Recommend it to anyone who is an avid Survival Horror RPG NUT, like Myself!

Square-jawed, smack-talking, shotgun-toting Ash must once again battle evil forces, but this time you take control of the fate of the world! Evil Dead: Hail to the King picks up eight years after the cult-classic trilogy ends. Bruce Campbell, the star of the movie series, lends his vocal talents to the game. It continues the ongoing saga of Ash and the Necronomicon, or the Book of the Dead. Open the Necronomicon, and battle all the Kandarian demons, ruthless deadites, and unspeakable monsters that it can spew out. The game takes place in environments familiar to fans of the films, such as the cabin, the cellar, and the bridge. It contains all of the humor, suspense, action, and gore that made the movies such classics, then adds puzzle-solving aspects to the successful formula. Ash has the remarkable ability to use weapons in both hands simultaneously, so feel free to head down into that cellar and carve yourself a witch. Hail to the King, baby! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars COME GET SOME
THQ has done an excellent job of recreating the Evil Dead (ED) experience. Having seen all 3 movies, it was very creepy wandering through the woods that surround the cabin (where you start out). It's 8 years after Army Of Darkness and Ash hasn't lost a step. Sure, the controls seem hard to master at first but once you get going you really don't notice. The more I played, the more I thought that this game was better the any of the Resident Evil (RE) games. When my 17 year old son came over this weekend, I commented about the controls and this game vs. RE games. After a few minutes of play, he had to agree on both points. Not an easy audience to win over. I loved the taunts and upgradable weapons. Now for the best part - for the price of a single game you get 2 discs!!! The first disc has Ash in the woods and the second has him transported back to Damascus. All in all, an excellent game that I will play again real soon...... as soon as I get it back from my son. Hail to the king baby!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
The first foray of the cult Evil Dead horror movie series into video games began here with Evil Dead: Hail to the King. Using the Resident Evil formula of pre-rendered backgrounds with 3-D animated characters, Evil Dead suffers from poor polygon designs, clunky controls, and the same "find the key to open the door" type gameplay we've seen in games like the Resident Evil series and Alone in the Dark. Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell lends his voice to Ash and breathes some life into this otherwise dismal game, but the terrible control layout and configuration really bring this game down. The Dreamcast version was a bit better with improved graphic and sound quality, but all in all Evil Dead: Hail to the King is worth checking out for fans of the Evil Dead series or survival horror games only.

The dead rises again...
This game is a spectacular instalment of the past 90's movies "Evil Dead" and "Army of Darkness". It uses great voice overs (For instance... Bruce Cambell). The angle shots and graphics could use a little bit more progress but the button handling and controlling is great for a PS1 game of it's marvelous movie credencials. I reccomend this game for (...) teens everywhere.

5-0 out of 5 stars What's wrong with you people?
Well, I understand why you gave this game an average of 3/5 stars, but I don't think this way: I love this game!
I know the gameplay is bad sometimes. You get stuck close to an enemy so it hits you, and you have to wait a little bit to get out of there... There are lots of enemies, much more than a game should have (just imagine how boring Resident Evil would be if zombies just kept popping out of the ground in every single room).. But, even with all those bad things, this game still rules.

First of all, there is Bruce Campbell. He, friends, makes this game worth playing with his awesome voice acting, full of hilarious lines. Then, the graphics. The graphics are awesome! See, in Resident Evil, all scenaries are static, no movement. Here at Hail to the King, trees move, the fog moves.. I mean, every single room has movement, so the graphics are way best than average PSOne games. The CGs are awesome, one of the best you can find on PSOne, and Ash looks fine too. There are good varieties of enemies, good variety of scenarios (including fan's favorite ones like the Cabin, the Bridge...) the bosses are cool and the game, even though difficult, is totally possible to beat without GameShark if you train a little.
I think this is a must-buy for anyone who owns a PSOne and likes Mature games. I can already see all those non-helpful votes you'll give me, but I'll still love this game. And you'll too, if you give it a chance. It could've been better? Yes, obviously... But it's still a very good game and it stays true to the series.

Ash?
the graphics are sandy, but they look good. The characters are modeled well. Bruce moves odd. His face blurs a bit. Deadites respawn a bit too fast. And boss battles often end up with melee combat. But its good. I like it. One of my Favorite movies made into a Resident evilish game with chainsaws and shotguns.

The story devolpes well. And i have nearly mastered the game. Its a bit difficult but all and all its okay. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars a little too young
I bought this game thinking it would be an action packed adventure. It is fun, but the age groups should be for 4-10. You have to collect flowers as you move through the castle, then collect butterflies as you move through the forest, then do a slide puzzle, then go through a series of mazes, then collect more items for a while. You also get to move a deer on cliffs, and catch plates, and do one of the things where the items drop and when they are in piles of 3 they go away, and you do a matching game, and you spray vultures to make them disappear. There are 2 modes: Story and Playground. There are 2 levels: Easy and Challenge. Easy is so unbelievably easy and challenge is a bit harder but still quite easy. Overall it is a pretty good game. I would recommend it to children ages 4-10.

5-0 out of 5 stars Game Boy Enjoyment For All Ages!!!
Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs is by far one of the best GBC games out there. With 7 enchanting levels, 8 exciting mini-games, and 2 modes of game-play, this will keep you busy. At the main menu, you will choose whether you want to: start a new game, enter a password, altar the game-play options, or view the credits. We'll start with the Mini-Games. In "Sliding Block Puzzles," un-scramble pictures of the Magic Mirror, Snow White, & Prince Charming. In "The Labyrinth," you need to get through up to 3 labyrinths to win. Then in "Washing Up," you'll need to catch up to 40 plates and only miss 3! Good Luck!! Next, in "Play The Music," using your control pad & A & B buttons, you must repeat the melody that the dwarfs play. In "The Animals Must Find The Dwarfs," race the deer to the dwarfs' mine and warn them about Snow White. Then, in "The Vultures," you play as Dopey trying to kill off all of the vultures with diamonds. After that, in "Dwarf Memory," you must match all the pairs of cards, but beware of The Wicked Queen!! And last, but most certainly not least, in "Build Columns,"
You must stack identical items to make them disappear. Well, that's all for the Mini-Games, now for the adventure levels. During the game you will play as: Snow White, & Grumpy. After every level you'll play a Mini-Game. During them you'll play as Snow White, Dopey, & A Deer. But anyway, in Level 1 "The Castle," help Snow White collect roses. In Level 2, "The Forest," help snow white find butterflies. In Level 3 "The House Of The Seven Dwarfs," help snow white find all of the cute little bunnies that are hiding. In Level 4 "The Seven Dwarfs' Garden," Snow White must find seven musical notes. In Level 5 "Collecting Apples," Snow White goes apple picking, only to find a poison one, back at the cottage. In Level 6 "The Mine," Grumpy is trapped and must find all of the diamonds to get out. Then, in the final level, "Snow White In Slumber," Grumpy has to find all of the floating hearts to rescue Snow White. After that you will play one last Mini-Game, and then Poof, the game is over!! And when you finish it, try these other great Titles,

Aladdin,
Dinosaur,
The Jungle Book: Mowgli's Wild Adventure,
The Emperor's New Groove,
Donald Duck Goin' Quackers,
&, Bear In The Big Blue House.

Well that's it. I hope that this review has helped you and encourages you to get this game cartridge.

Snow white is ok i guess
i brought this game for my 5 year old daughter and she hardly ever plays with it. to me it was a waste of money and i would not recommend this game to someone else.

5-0 out of 5 stars Snow White
I purchased this game for my 11 year old daughter and she loves it. According to her it's fun to collect the items. You have to look really hard to find them. It's challenging enough to be fun but not too difficult. The mini games are like breaks in between each level (or chapter). Even once you are done all the levels, it is fun to do them all again and discover new things. I recommend this game.

3-0 out of 5 stars Snow White is a fun game
In my opinion the game is pretty fun. It allows you to play two games, the first is the Story game which consists of being Snow White for most of the levels(a dear in one and grumpy in two) and going around and collecting ojects. There are 7 levels and in between each are little games that you have to pass to pass the level. The second game is the playground, where you can choose different little games to play(like the memory game). In both games there are 2 modes to choose: easy or hard. If you actually want to play a game that is interesting and you can jump, then try hard. The easy mode was just way too easy and boring-I finished it in less than 30 minutes on my first try. So the game is good if u try the hard mode.So if I were u I would give it a little chance for the hard mode. Ifyou are somebody who wants a challenge, then I dont think that you should buy it because then even the hard mode would be too easy, and remember that this game was made for little girls and boys, not too much for teens and adults. I hope that my review helped you, Bye. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars A little game that could have been
I picked up this game because I liked the PS2 version of Midnight Club Street Racing, which resembled the popular Midtown Madness series. (No wonder, because they were developed by the same company.) This GBA port utilizes an overhead view like that in Grand Theft Auto and GTA 2. You start as a taxi driver in New York and must race your way up the Midnight Club ladder. When you win the New York races, you unlock the city of London.

Contrary to what the box claims, the street models of New York are not accurate at all. After playing for almost a week I still can't figure out what the streets are. The controls are very straightforward, making the game easy to play, but sometimes you head down (toward the bottom) and that makes turning a bit confusing. The races are generally easy to beat.

This game makes a good flight companion. Otherwise it lacks depth and killer graphics. Get it if you find a used one or at a discount.

For Sale
I'm selling a brand new Midnight Club game for game boy advance, never been used. $20.00

Not What I Expected It To Be ...
I rented the Midnight Club for the Xbox and found it really fun. I've been thinking about buying the game but I'm looking for one used or when the price goes down. I went to a local game store and saw this game. I thought it would be like the Xbox game but actually it's pretty lame. It's like playing Grand Thief Auto and you can't even get the car to drive straight most of the time. I didn't find it very fun and I think I should of just kept my money. Not worth it in my mind. I don't mind selling it to someone else.

1-0 out of 5 stars If you like crap. you'll like this
Ohhhh Jaleco why have you forsaken yourself? Premise of the game is you have to save your girlfriend (ooo originality). This game wouldn't be so bad if it actually had action in it. But unfortunatly this game has none, you don't even get to walk around. Which wouldn't be so bad if it had good graphics, but it doesn't. If your hoping for good puzzles this game isn't for you, because the puzzles often make no sense at all! After ten minutes of the game I wanted to hunt down the creators of this game and beat them with a golf club. This game would of gotten two stars if it's name was thuggernaut. And the people that said this was good were high as a cloud. If you buy this not only will you waste your money and time, but also your life because this may ruin video games for you.

4-0 out of 5 stars Psychotic and subliminal
Juggernaut left me with mixed feelings...Confused, content, frustrated, thirsty, and pantsless because this game scared them off of me. You bought your g/f this lovely, simple bottle (I dont know either, but it's a video game so let it go...) that happened to be possessed by a demonic creature that travels into her soul and you actually enter your girlfriend to chase the demon out...or perish in hellish misery (actually, you get a game over screen, but I'm sure it's rough for the guy.)

Gameplay: Juggernaut begins with a psychotic and freakish opening that will immediatly have you running to turn the lights back on...the scenes with your g/f are just amazingly detailed, be that a good thing or not (the parts with the priest slicing something with the knife, revealing horrible screams and the doll each are very VERY scary). The gameplay, unfortunatly, lacks a bit in interactivity...it's very very Myst-like, only in a parallel place with almost no people. Too bad the concept wasn't played out well enough, and it left me with mixed feelings about the game.

Graphics: Graphics in Juggernaut are also skitzo...they're highly detailed and lifelike, but they're grainy...it bothers you a bit when you first begin playing, but you adjust to it. Most of the game is cinema, and the quality comes very close to Parasite Eve. It gives it a creepy quality comparable to the game Nocturne for PC. The game is still highly disturbing and starting in the middle of disc 2 gets extremely nightmarish (do NOT play this game if you are squeemish)

Sound: Music in Juggernaut is so clear it's almost unbelievable...the score is a flawless masterpiece, also very disturbing. The sound is lacking something though...no dialogue, just canned screaming and demonic (and BOY do I mean DEMONIC) laughter...

Overall, this is a game for the adventure genre fan crowd. It will leave many of you bored. Rent it and then make a decision, because it will take you MONTHS to finish this game.

4-0 out of 5 stars This game is very hard and VERY disturbing
The plot behind this game is you bought a bottle with a weird substance for your girlfriend and she has now possedesed by something in it. A priest calles you and tells you that only you can save her. You have to enter her body and save her. Then the adventure begins with you inside her body. When I first played this game, it seemed to have a couple of easy puzzles, WRONG! This game has puzzles that no one can solve. It has very gory sequences and is NOT for the average player. I found it to be very hard to play. The graphics are poor, but it still is a good game for people that can solve VERY HARD puzzles. I had nightmares after the first day I played this game. Trust me, you WILL have nightmares after you play this game also. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Worth Buying - Or Not? You Decide
I've always been a fan of the NBA Live series, whether it be for Nintendo 64, Playstation, or Super NES. I've played every season that they've come out, and I've always thought that it was a fun game. Personally, I think this game has some weak points and some strong points.

The Weak Points:

1) Same gameplay as NBA Live 2000 2) Season play gets boring after about 10 games 3) No free agents 4) No salary caps 5) You can hit some shots all day 6) Too easy, like when you play Superstar with the Clippers against the Lakers and win by 15

The Strong Points:

1) Same strong gameplay as previous seasons 2) Momentum meter 3) Always going to be better than NBA Shootout 4) Addictive gameplay in the first week that you own the game 5) NBA Live Challenge

So basically this is a good buy, but you might want to wait until you can get it for less than 40 dollars, or if you can get it for a present. It's a good game, but if you have NBA Live 2000 it's basically the same game with a few new features and the always updated rosters.

4-0 out of 5 stars STILL FUN!!!!!!!
If you enjoyed NBA Live 2000 you will be happy with this one. But if your expecting a whole lot of changes just keep played 2000, because it basically the same thing. I've organized some the highs and lows:

Highs: 1. One of the most entertaining sports games. 2. Great gameplay 3. you got a lot of options to choose from. Like practice mode, three-point contest, etc.

Lows: 1. Same EXACT gameplay as the one in 2000 2. Same graphics ( the crowd looks better, though) 3. Same lame old boring commentary like its older brother 4. the faces look really messed up ( some players have teeth sticking out of their faces on close- ups)

Final verdict: If you don't mind the almost same game as last years then buy it. If you want changes, please don't buy it!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Nba live rocks
this game is soooooo good. buy it, buy it now!!!!!!!!!!!! the only thing that is missing is franchise mode but it still rocks the world in all it does! the challenge mode is a bit boring but it is truly rewarding once you you unlock a code. nice graphics too. it is worth the money!!!!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Action-Packed Game, But Needs Changes.
When I purchased NBA Live 2001, I was very satisfied. The game is very simple to play and is full of intense action. The graphics are good and the overall gameplay is magnificent. However, the game does has it's fair share of glitches. First off, it's too easy to win a game. I literally had to create a custom team to play against because the regular teams were too easy to beat. Currently, the custom team that I created is my only real competition 2. The game could have included a referee or two, because then, the game would have looked more stuctured and organized. 3. The game pauses when a player attempts to argue a disputed foul charged agaist him. This is really irritating, and sometimes, the game totally freezes up as a result of this! 4. The game still has the same boring look as it's predecessor. I personally think that the game needs a major face lift, i.e., a different arena, more camera agles, player introductions at the beginning of a game, and a combination of game play and announcing at the same time. These features would have made the game more interesting, but overall, the game is a great buy. It is very fast-paced, the crowd effects are extremely realistic, it has a nice variety of gaming options, includes a dynamic soundtrack, and if you use a vibrating controller with it, you will difiniately be able to feel all of the slam dunking and body banging action! I highly recommend this game to any basketball fanatic!

5-0 out of 5 stars nbalive2001
I've played nbalive2001 a whole bunch of times and i think its better than 2000 because of all the cool things that were added to 2001.I think you people should buy this game and enjoy the fun! I like the game because of the all new features and the chance to go 1 on 1 and 5 on 5 ... Read more
