5-0 out of 5 stars hilariously authentic
This is the first game i bought with my new PSone and I love it. It is pretty cool because you get to fly in a bomber and work the gun turrets and you can ride in a tank,pt boat, battle ship, jeep, and chopper. Contrary to the person who wrote a review for this game and said it was easy, well it isn't. He was either lying or was using game shark or something. I have played playstation for a while so its not me thats bad it is a difficult game. Some levels are hard whereas others that are farther along in the game are easier. It is a nice brake to have an easy fun level in the middle of a hard game. Multiplayer mode is out of this world. I love the feature of having some computer player on your team when you play capture the flag. It is a nice change from my old N64 and sarges heroes. It is a fun hard and all around entertaining game which I recomend to all world war or army men fans.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game!
If you own Army Men World War you have to buy this one. The graphics are better, and they give you cross hairs for better aiming of your weapon. You get to shoot from a jeep, battle ship, tank, raft, helicopter, and airplane. The AI is even harder. This game will keep you busy for hours. 3DO has put out an excellent product.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome and Entertaining for Hours!!!
I purchased this game 2-3 months ago, I had previously played Army Men World war, and enjoyed it very much.
In this game, you get to use every kind of force imaginable!!!
The graphics are also outstanding!!! This game packs some punch!!!
You must buy it!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Can play again and again
This is an excellent game which never really gets boring you a little green plastic dude against evil tan men. You sometimes have allies which can sometimes make it easier. The game is not too easy so it will not get boring fast. The game has six vehicles for you to use: Jeep, bomber, tank (with cannon turret and machine guns), chopper, assault raft and the giant battleship with giant cannons. My favourite mission is the last because you attack land, sea and air. The game offers many weapons to use like flamethrower, bayonet (like a knife on the end of the gun), rigle, machine gun, bazooka, grenades and mortar. One mission you go on tank patrol through a town. With all vechile you control the weapons only for example on the second mission your in a plane on a bombing run, tan planes try attacking you and you have to shoot them. This game is the first game I ever bought and when I was playing it I wanted more army men games. A brilliant game especially when you have time to kill because each level isn't too long.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good game
This game is god like. I rented it once and man o man. I didnt wanna take it back. its a challenging game. I recommend this game to everybody. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A BMX Tony Hawk
This game rocks. No other way to put it. This is the best BMX game I've seen in a long time. This game is packed with killer tricks, cool music, and awesome levels. A great buy for those who liked Tony Hawk and Matt Hoffman.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game
I thought this game was great. It reminded me of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, only in BMX form. The graphics were good and the tricks were sick!! This is a must have for any BMX fans.

I think this game is great. It looks like that you are going prity fast and it is faster than the other games I have played. It has all of the best riders. You have a lot of controll of the bike. This game I would say is my moust favorit.

1-0 out of 5 stars I didn't like it
This is the worst game I've ever played!

1-0 out of 5 stars I didn't like it
too bad to be a game boy advance game!

4-0 out of 5 stars It's alright
This game is alright. It has pretty good soundtracks. The bikes can move fairly well.Creating is the best part about the game. The signature moves need alot of help. The competitions are O.K.The greatest competition is the trick competition.

1-0 out of 5 stars Yuk!!
This game is truly pitiful. I thought it might be good, but boy was I wrong. The graphics are absolutely terrible--some of the worst I've seen on the GBA thus far. The music and soundtrack are terribly annoying and grates on your nerves. All the tracks look alike and not one of them any good. The tracks look so poor and undetailed that they blend into the scenery (if that's what you want to call it), and you can hardly tell where to drive your blasted motorcycle! Avoid. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars The great Namco games do come in 1 package!
Alright, let's break it down:

Pac-Man: Still the best character on this side of the planet.

Galaga: The best damn shoot-'em-up game in the known universe.

Pole Position: Um, Hello? Where's the prepare to qualify voice sounder?

Bosconian: Sinistar on a killing spree (Just without the Sinistar) And it features great voicing and classy music.

Rally-X: Great game, but the music is somewhat stuck in your head and it's a two-note wonder.

New Rally-X: better music, better gameplay

Toypop: Very quirky music and very weird animation.

Now on the rest, the room to the game's music is a new rendition that gives birth to the phrase: "remix." Plus, the game rooms are eye-popping and the museum space is rendering and excellent! I love this game!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Not quite like the old....
These games are great, but the playability is not quite like the arcade standup models. For some reason, there seems to be a slight hesitation when making some of the quick corners in Ms Pac-man and Dig Dug. Also, Pole Position plays differently without the wheel. Still, the games are exactly as they were years ago. The sames tendencies I remember on Galaga come alive in the Playstation version. These are exact replicas of the originals that helped start it all.

4-0 out of 5 stars The first in the 5 CD Playstation series!
Namco brings the actual classic arcade experience home starting with this CD. Pac-Man, the star of the disc, plays differently than the one Midway had or the one Namco put on its Classic Collection Vol. 2 arcade game...I think this one might be the same one the Japanese imported for show in 1979 or 1980. (Different patterns; glitch with Inky near the top of the maze, etc.) Both Rally-X and New Rally-X are also maze games; you try to collect all the flags before your fuel runs out, whilst avoiding other cars and rocks. Pole Position is basically a timed race game against other cars. (Be careful around sharp curves.) Galaga deals with a swarm of insects in space; your job is to shoot them down. (The "no bullets" code also works...only in less time.) In Bosconian, you have a free-flying ship in space with dual front and back shooting, dealing with alien ships and enemy space stations. Toypop, the obscurity, can be played with 2 players...you control a toy and open packages to reveal hearts (for your level exit) and various different weapons for different enemies. This CD is much easier to maintain than the arcade versions of these games. I highly recommend this one.

3-0 out of 5 stars Pros and Cons
The games on this disc are literally the same games that were on the old arcade games. When you start a game it goes through the entire start-up sequence similar to turning on your home computer, which is exactly what happens when you plug in an arcade game and turn it on. The graphics, sound, levels, etc., are all exactly the same as the original arcade versions. Better yet, you even have access to all the difficulty controls that the arcade owners had: setting the difficulty, speed, number of lives, and when you get free lives. You can even save your high score list, just like in the arcade.

However, this disc does not support the analog joystick controllers, which makes it a lot more difficult to play some of the games, such as Pole Position. Because of the way the games load, it is very slow to go from one game to another one.

The games on the disc: Galaga, Pac Man, Pole Position, Bosconian, Rally-X, New Rally-X, and Toy Pop.

Overall, this disc is what you would expect if you remember the originals. It provides some entertainment, but most of these games just seem too simplistic and boring when compared to present-day video games.

4-0 out of 5 stars Shoot Lit Bosconian
Namco Museum 1 (first in a series of five collections) is one of the better selections in the series. Pac-Man is probably the most well remembered, and an excellent translation from the Arcade version. Galaga is another title that makes the transition well. But the best is Bosconian. Every level - every ship - even the bonus levels and the weird levels beyond the 9th are all there in glorious color, faithfully rendered. The rest are a mixed lot, including Rally-X and Pole Position. A great ride for those who remember the classic arcade consoles. ... Read more

Editorial Review

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls... Let's Get Ready to Rumble!" calls renowned ring announcer Michael Buffer to start one of the most impressive boxing video games on the market. Ready 2 Rumble takes full advantage of the Dreamcast's advanced technology, and it shows. Each boxer, be it a gorgeous female pugilist or a towering wall of muscle, is beautifully animated in 3-D: watch Tank Thrasher's enormous gut jiggle and bounce as he's knocked to the mat, or see fighters wince when hit or smugly grin when they land a hard punch. Or feel the action with the optional Jump Pack as your controller shakes with each punch and knockdown. The Dreamcast smoothly integrates all of these enhancements while maintaining a high frame rate. The result: Ready 2 Rumble is an incredibly fun game that delivers a knockout punch.

By far, the best feature of the game is the variety of boxers--20 in all--representing a range of personalities and abilities. Afro Thunder, for example, is a trash-talking, Chris Rock-sounding fighter with a repertoire of ring speed, quick jabs, and over-the-top hooks, while Butcher Brown is a heavy-handed thug built like a dump truck. There's something for everyone, with many nationalities, genders, and fighting styles represented. Since each fighter has different speed, reach, and moves, there is a pleasant amount of depth to the game.

Ready 2 Rumble offers two different game modes: Arcade and Championship. Arcade mode is for one or two players, and is simply a series of boxing matches. The single-player option pits you against a computer-controlled opponent, while the two-player format lets you and a buddy hammer it out. Championship mode puts you in charge of your own boxing gym. You start the game with three rookie fighters, facing off in second-rate gyms, and it's your job to train them in hopes of reaching the championship bout.

Championship mode also lets you access Ready 2 Rumble's most innovative feature: the ability to pit your prized fighters against boxers from a friend's gym through the Visual Memory Unit. Just save your stable of boxers onto the VMU and then use it in a buddy's Dreamcast, where you can fight an exhibition match against one of his or her boxers, or arrange a trade. The VMU also lets you save your progress. Without it, all your boxers (and all the secret characters you've managed to unlock) are erased when you turn off the console. But then again, if you've got Ready 2 Rumble, it's unlikely that you'll turn off the console anytime soon. --Mike Fehlauer

Pros:

  • Impressive graphics and boxer animations
  • Variety of personable, quirky, fun boxers
  • Easy-to-learn controls
  • Great use of peripherals (VMU and Jump Pack)
Cons:
  • Punch combinations can be slow

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun Fighting!
Ready 2 Rumble is what Mike Tyson's Punchout was 13 years ago. And it has been that long since the last truely fun boxing game. Pairing today's great graphics(at least on Dreamcast)with yesterdays fun equals a great game.

The game has two modes, an Arcade mode and a Championship mode. The Arcade mode is fun when played against another "human" opponent. The 2 player game will give the user more opportunities to taunt, set up for a combo, and go all out. Most people enjoy this type of fighting, infact everyone should. The Championship mode is for the die-hard player who likes to win, win, win. Going into championship mode requires a memory cartridge, and most importantly patience. The road to gold is a long, frustrating, and often dull experience. It is true when you work your way up to Gold status, strategies have to be used. The user finds out more about fighting the computer, really it's just like real boxing(jab, cut the ring off, win by decision). While few have the patience to test their skills against the computer, the die-hard player never really gets that much better especially against a "human" opponent who fights a whole lot different from the computer.

The game has various characters, with interesting backgrounds. We have a retired 21 year old cab driver going up against the Devil himself. Each fighter have different attributes, and using them to their right potential is key. Maybe the only bad thing about the game is the music(endless). But Ready 2 Rumble wins by TKO over any other boxing games.

4-0 out of 5 stars Entertaining Game
My preference is games that have a simple learning curve and have lasting entertainment value. This game has both. You can play well minutes after opening the box and with something like 20 characters, there are always challenges to master each character. My only criticism is of the Championship mode where you train boxers and take them through title fights. The mini-games to train the boxers are pretty weak and the whole process is somewhat tedious. Otherwise, it's a solid game.

5-0 out of 5 stars "Lets get ready to rumble!!"
Now THIS is a cool game. The graphics are very impressive on the Dreamcast. The boxers rule! A cool example is Afro Thunder, who sounds like a combination of Chris Rock and James Brown. My absolute favorite boxer, and one of my favorie video game characters has got to be Damien Black. First, the guy is 7,3", and is {get this} 500 years old. He is huge, his skin is that zombie-grey type of color, and has quite alot of horns on his head {8 to be exact}. What I'm trying to say is: He's the devil, folks. Also, there is this old british guy from the 1800s. Hes actually quite amusing. There is also this Mike Tyson clone, an ancient Indian {one of the only ones who put up a fight against Damien}, and the Russian guy from Rocky 4. Anyway, this game is really cool, especially on the Dreamcast. My rating: Get it!

3-0 out of 5 stars pretty cool
this game is cool, and is great for tournaments but can get old very fast. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun game for younger kids
This is a very fun game for younger kids who have trouble with the harder, faster paced games. Still need to learn some moves that can be challenging but not impossible, like some games. I would definitely recommend for kids 10 and under. One negative is that the game does not automatically save to the memory cartridge, and it's hard to return to the save menu from game play (you have to go all the way back to the main menu). If you forget to save or quit by mistake, you have to start over from the beginning. Can be frustrating.

4-0 out of 5 stars A lot of fun
This game is a lot of fun. Its easy enough to not be frustrating, yet still challenging enough to be quite enjoyable. The graphics and game play are top notch! If you are a fan of disney and are looking for a fun time, this is a great game!

5-0 out of 5 stars The reason we bought Nintendo- family fun
I am not a computer "gamer." No one in my family is. But we love to play games together and Donald Duck's Goin' Quackers allows us to do just that.

After reading the other reviews of this product, I was hesitant to buy the game because I thought it was going to be too easy. But it wasn't. It was quite challenging and loads of fun.

The game has 4 stages with 4 levels and 2 additional tracks at each stage. The graphics are outstanding. The goal is clear. It even has a good soundtrack. Furthermore, there is barely any violence- Donald punches a few bad guys, but that's it.

My wife, my 6-year-old, my 3-year-old and I would pass the controller as we'd take turns playing the game. Since the difficulty increases as you progess, my youngest would play in the first stage and win our team extra "Donalds," my 6-year-old would play on the medium and harder levels, and my wife and I would play on all levels. This is a wonderful game that can be played and shared by the whole family. Before I bought a Nintendo, I thought computer games could never match the family fun of board games and card games, but Goin' Quakers has proved me wrong. Well-done Disney!

2-0 out of 5 stars Alright, but not great
I bought this game and I returned it the next day, not because I disliked it, but because I had already beaten it. It is a very simple game that plays much like Crash Bandicoot for Playstation. I wouldn't recomend it to buy for advanced gamers, but if your bored one day you could rent it. The excellent animation on Donald and the incredible amount of detail in the backgrouds makes this game more like a cartoon than a video game. Even if you get everything in the game it will only take about 6 hours to beat. I would, however, recomend it to younger, less experienced gamers because of its simple gameplay.

2-0 out of 5 stars OK rental
My children, girls 6 and 5, tired of this game quickly. It's an OK rental for the kids, I suppose, because it's easy to learn and Donald is amusing as he goes quackers. In addition, it's instructional for adults, who would do well to avoid going quackers. But the game pales in comparison to my girls' favorites -- Donkey Kong and both Banjos. In my opinion, those are the only games one needs. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This one is really good
my friends and i love to compete in this game. the graphics are much improved from earlier instalments, and it's just easier to play (not to say it's not challenging, but you can see where you're going better.). i'm not sure why some previous reviews said that '99 was a better game, this one is more fun in every aspect.

3-0 out of 5 stars Alright
It not the greatest game ever but it's got pretty good graphics. I liked it because it took me about 5 months to beat and it i'm usually really good at these kind of games. But after you beat it there's hardly anything else to do you can tour but you don't win anything for it. It wasn't a complete waste of money it was fun in the beginning and then got boring.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best Tiger Woods game in the series
I have played TW99 and TW2000 and will forthrightly and honestly say that this installment (properly 2001, though not included in the title) is the best of the three, as well as being the best "realistic" golf game for the system.

There are seemingly 2 camps in console golf games: the "fun" camp (Hot Shots Golf, Mario Golf) that emphasizes a certain playability over any serious sim aspects, and the "realism" camp (EA's Tiger Woods, Fox Sports) which attempts to display the game as it is actually played. I enjoy both styles, but the cartoonish qualities of the former can wear thin whereas the latter is always a good choice to fall back on time and again. Your choice may vary, but realize that this definitely falls into the "realism" camp and this may turn out to be slightly "dry" for the youngsters amongst you, or those that prefer a lot of theatrics in their golf gaming.

Why is this installment the preferred edition? Well, for starters it is easily the most gorgeous looking of the three, putting 99 to utter shame graphically, and even upping the ante on the fairly adequate graphics of 2000. The sounds are kept to a quiet minimum (except, for some reason, in the long term PGA Tour mode) which helps set the proper tone. The putting meter has thankfully returned to what most fans of EA Sports' PGA series know & love: the straight line meter. No more circular guesswork, this is just like old times (PGA Tour III on Genesis being my favorite of the 16-bit era.) Also improved from previous versions is the putting. The draw/fade feature that made putting such a foul nightmare in earlier editions now returns to the standard distance shot, thought the quirky "quake-cam" effect is still used to determine putting green hills/valleys. But without the hook/slice factor, this becomes much easier to digest. And I will mention that the ridiculous "Tiger Power" ability (allowing you to alter the direction of the shot mid-flight, as if by telepathy) is thankfully turned off by default.

The game, on the whole, as a result of these intelligent game mechanics changes has seemingly become easier and more user-friendly. Though still a proper challenge will certainly await you. This time around there are 6 courses (up 1 from 2000's 5) along with 8 tour pros (up 3 from 2000's 5.) The animation and sayings are much the same as the previous version, but there was never much wrong with that aspect, so it is forgiveable.

There do seem to be a few less options this time around (they seem to have canned the shootout mode and 4-ball competitions) but they are not missed amidst the lush graphics and control enhancements that make this one a joy to play. It is certainly the pinnacle of "realistic" golf games, and is likely to remain so, as EA will be releasing Tiger Woods 2002 on PS2 only.

Prior to purchasing this title, I had read many poor reviews of this game which had me worried. Yet after spending many hours out on the PS1 links with this title, I am truly dumbfounded as to what is so truly evil about it. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2001 outdoes not only its previous incarnations, but also outshines all but the best of the "fun" category. The only game I would recommend over this would be Hot Shots Golf 2.

A very fun, very accessible, very pretty golf game that deserves to be played & appreciated. Console gaming old-timers from the Genesis PGA era will be right at home.

1-0 out of 5 stars eeewwwooo! worst golf game ever
Donot buy this game. the outside looks are good but apart from that the playability of the game su.. the AI is ridiculous and laughable. stick to TW 99 if you are a real golf fan. It is a total waste of money.

1-0 out of 5 stars What a terrible game for the money!
I own Tiger Woods 99 and asked my wife to buy this for me for Christmas. I wish I never had. The previous review was correct about the AI taking over and making impossible and unbelievable shots that would never happen. Tiger 99 is 100 times better. Anyone looking to buy a Tiger Woods game should not buy this one. Buy Tiger 99 instead. Very unhappy and hope I can return it after Christmas! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Way Better than Monster Rancher 2!!!!!
This is a fun game! Once you get use of it.It is way better than Monster Rancher 2! Your monster don't go "DIEING" on you! Cause on here, they are cards! Also when you do an attack, they show a cartoon clip of your monster doing the attack to the other monster! So that's a cool thing! Like on the other ones you have Guts, which you use to perform attacks. To get more Guts you just shuffle your cards. It's really easy to play! One move that's cool is Golem's EarthQuake attack, that damages all of the other player's monsters![But also some of your own...]All in all this game is lots of fun!!! And if your having trouble choosing between Monster Rancher 2 and MonsterRancher BattleCard:Episode2,Please! Please! Get Monster Rancher BattleCard:Episode2!!! It's alot BETTER!!!! Believe ME!!! I was very Disappointed with Monster Rancher2!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Continuation of the Gamboy Game
I have the first Episode on the Gameboy. The Episode II gets rid of the Dungeon Crawl and returns to the gameplay from the Monster Rancher game. Instead of raising monsters, you collect cards. The tornaments and the passage of time are exactly like the first Monster Rancher game. Plus, you can insert CDs to collect rare and random cards, just like the Monster Rancher. The attacks are animated like the cartoon show, and the strategy requires very tight control of resources. Graphics are phenominal on a big screen TV.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great game.
I bought this game the week it came out. I was soo thrilled. There's Master Pabs(From MR2)! There's colt(from MR2)! and... hey! Colt dissapeared! That is what I thought when I first played this game. Don't get me wrong it's a good game. I loved this game, and I think it is one everyone should play. The only thing I didn't like was that the card battles are way too long. Heck, for tournaments, I have spent 3 hours when battling 4 people! But, I think everyone should play it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Monster Rancher: Battlecard episode II
I think this title is a change from the original titles. I got it today 10/12/00 and it is quite well. I am a fan of monster rancher that might be why I like it. Well I had second thoughts of getting it but it was better than what I thought! (I like to say thought alot!). Alot better, and my best creature right now is a naga. Animation is also very cool.

4-0 out of 5 stars To Buy or Not to Buy?
Well I have to say this is a awsome game a super sequel to Monster Rancher Battle Card for Game Boy.It takes a little time to figure out how to play but it is really fun to play once you get the hang of it.But how you can get cards is cool just the same as Monster Rancher 2.All and all it is a really cool! ... Well...it's an AC adapter...and it's first-party
Like I said in my title, it's an ACadapter, and it's first-party, meaning you don't have to worry about it screwing up your NGPC. And to the guy who said that this takes away all the portability, ever think people play their NGPC at home or in a place with a free outlet? Why wast batteries when you don't have to? And then when you want to leave, just unplug it! Please, think before you review.

5-0 out of 5 stars The right choice
A previous reviewer said the Game Boy's adapter was compatible and would cost less. Game Boys use three times as much power as NGPCs, though, so using the wrong adapter means risking burning out the unit. Always get the manufacturer's model and avoid universal solutions when you're dealing with power sources, or at least check yourself to make sure the power rating printed on the unit matches the source exactly. Besides, this one's nicer than the other AC adapter designs because the transformer block is in the middle of the cord instead of at the contacts, meaning you don't have to make any extra room for it in the wall socket -- it'll plug in like a regular two-pronged power cord.

5-0 out of 5 stars The adaptor works fine
I've owned the adaptor since the system was released in the U.S. a couple of years ago, and it works just fine. It's an AC adaptor, not much to get wrong there. If you don't want it, don't buy it...but don't be scared off by that bizarre anti-AC adaptor rant.

1-0 out of 5 stars You've got to be kidding me!?!?!
By using an A/C Adapter with ANY type of hand-held system, you are virtually taking the word "portable" out of "portable video gamimg systems" such as Neo Geo Pocket Color, Game Boy Advance, etc. In this day and age, who in the world wants to be connected to an wall-socket while playing video games? Or, worse than that, plug this A/C Adapter into an extension cord, then plug the extension cord to the wall outlet ... what a mess! You're better off spending your money on any of the new-wave "high-tech" batteries on the market today, such as Duracell's "Ultra" or Energizer's "E2 Titanium", both proven to last longer in high-tech devices. Better yet, go purchase the "3-in-1 Worm Light" for Neo Geo Pocket Color...which includes a re-chargeable battery pack w/charger.

A Must Have!
This product will save you alot of money in battery cost. Well worth the investment, expecially for young kids who do not have the money to keep buying batteries. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars A disappointment.
I was expecting this game to be more than it was. The graphics were excellent, as were the movie clips which helped to build story line. Now I'll get to what this game lacked. Levels were short, and left no room for "exploration". Simba's attacks do not increase as he gets older. It seems slash, maul, etc. were removed. My guess is for violence reasons. Pounce, roll, and roar are his only attacks, which proves to be awkward later in the game. This game is aimed highly at a younger age group. I finished the game in a little over an hour; it was hardly a challenge for me. I am a die hard Lion King fan, and regardless of the disappointment, I'm glad they finally decided to release a 3D formatted game based on TLK. As I said before, this one's for the younger gamers, they should enjoy it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Worth playing, collection for The Lion King Fans.
After several months' waiting I got the game from the shelf in the store. And directly went home to play it, compared with the first version this one is obviously better. And also gave me a little surprise of containing both TLK1 and Simba's Pride. Then let's focus on the game itself, talking about the handling, 3-D game would give a confusion at first, yet this game didn't take me long to get used of the controlling. The adding of the characters, voices and the movie clips will let those who haven't watched the original movie getting some ideas about the story line. Well, I have to say the game also has some flaws. First our King's attacting means seem to be alittle too simple, even being an adult he couldn't use slash or maul, it's not a very good idea to remove his classic stance--wrestling. The second thing is the viewpoint, I can't change it freely. And looks like even in the movie clips, the voice providers are somewhat changed--giving a weird feeling toward those who have watched the origingal movie. But anyway, nothing's perfect. This game is worth playing and collecting after all, like I said, especially for those The Lion King Fans!

5-0 out of 5 stars I need this game
I have always wanted to own the lion king game for my playstation and now i finally get the chance to own one and i cant wait until i actually get it but i have played it a few times on a different system but i have always loved the lion king and have also always wanted to get everything i could from the lion king. I hope i can get it so i can really tell yall what i think about it.
thank u so much, alaina

5-0 out of 5 stars The BOMB!
I think this game is THE BOMB! I read some of the online reviews and he wanted to write my own.The game gets harder as the levels change. I have made it to the puzzle game. I loved the movie and now the game is one of my favorites. I play this game all the time and would recommend it!

4-0 out of 5 stars Interesting...unique character design, but fuzzy plot.
The plot was a little uneven, as it hardly tied into the real movies. However, most of the scenes were fun, nonstop action with cool effects. :D I would reccomend this product to anyone who loves Lion King, video games, and action adventures. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars WCW Backstage Assault is One of The Greatest Wrestling Games
This game is a pure act of Phenomenon by EA Sports. Time and effort was put into this game. What went into it certainlly came out. It has over 50wrestlers, 10 backstage arenas, and no rules. If you are a fan of wrestling in the least bit you should get this game. Also buy the official Prima Strategy Guide.

5-0 out of 5 stars WCW Back Stage Assault
WCW may not be the best wrestling product out there, but it's wrestling in general, and that's why I like it. This is game is pretty cool (in my opinion) so please respect my opinion. This game has all the top wrestlers in WCW (including La Parka, my personal favorite even though he got cut). The graphics are good, the sound is good, the only bad thing about it is that there IS no ring. I love this game and I loved WCW Mayhem as well. I also recomend WWF SmackDown! 2: Know Your Role and ECW Anarchy Rulz.

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst game ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! WcW suks
This game is horrible. Every thing about it is horrible. Please don't even think about buying this stupid game. The grapics, sound, gameplay is wack and is to jerky. If u want a good wcw game wait until they have one. If not get wcw mayhem. Its the best wcw out there. Try other wrestling games like wwf no mercy, wrestlemania 2000, ecw or the best wrestling right now is wwe here comes the pain.

4-0 out of 5 stars WCW Hardcore Fun!
Graphics: It's okay for PS but it could have been way better. Kind of blocky and the faces look like robots.

Sound: Great commentary, yet boring. The themes are simple and boring also.

Gameplay: 2 words: E.Z.

Frusteration: Barely any frusteration once you figure out the controls.

3-0 out of 5 stars It's fun, for a while.
Face it, wrestling games are really fun. This one is not the greatest, but it is alot of fun to bash your opponent with all manner of hardware lying about! I personally got this one just to play as either one of the Outsiders {Hall and Nash}. The quality of the wrestlers appearance is decent but certainly pales to the now reigning Xbox and PS2. Game play is routine and quick to learn. Like I said, it is fun but grows boring quickly. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars OK
I can't recomend this over Need For Speed games, they rule.

5-0 out of 5 stars a really good game
this game is really awsome. for a ps1 game the graphics are just really good for example the italian job game on ps1 is very blocky but this game is not blocky and for a ps1 game very smooth. the car selection is great, awsome play back value with enough selections of game play like my favorite, the drag race, this game is really good! also i got this game for a bargain ...! so if u have a ps1 or if u have a ps2 and want a good racing game this is one for u!!

5-0 out of 5 stars the best
In my opinion this the best of the " test drive" series,it has good graphics, the wrecks are great, and it is balls to the walls action,Enough said.

5-0 out of 5 stars The greatest game to its day
When TD5 was released, it stood up to "Need For Speed - High Stakes" - its nearest competitor. (Sadly, TD6 was a bad joke compared to "Need For Speed - Porsche..."). However, for its day, TD5 is one of the finest computer games in that generation - which means, keyboard controlled. If you do love racer games, like I do, and your budget doesn't allow a force feedback steering wheel, do get TD5. It's the absolutely best keyboard-compatible car-driving game you can get. What a shame TD6 degeneratd into an arcade game, instead of evolving into a high-class simulation like the "Need For Speed" series did.

5-0 out of 5 stars This games rocks
This game is totally awsome. The cars in here are cool. And they get awfull fast, so watch out! The Pit-bull is that fastest car in the game. It goes up to 229 mph! The cop chase is cool too. U can hit those racers till there busted and rack up the points for yourself. The championship cup races are pretty hard man! U better know your skills before u try those races! And it has very good graphics and no glitches. :) ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars 989 tosses up an airball
I have never played a game in the Shootout series but have heard they are all similar. Well then they must all be bad. 989 Sports may want to know that most nba players do not shoot granny shots, because besides dunks that all they do in this. If you play on rookie mode with the option of keeping the score close on , there will be a 35 point difference at halftime. Thr create a player and dunk modes are awesome ,but with the option of creating a dunk why didn't they include a slam dunk Contest. Shootout yes Shootout is also missing a 3 point shootout. If you have PS2 wait for live. If you do not, but do have PSX get live. If you must rent this.

1-0 out of 5 stars Yet another poor showing by the dismal 989 studios
Overall a rather mediocre effort with many flaws. Gameplay is a bit choppy and the computer has a tendency to heavily favor the team its controlling. Once the CPU decides to catch up they're practically invincible, I had a VERY difficult time beating teams like the Wizards and the Bulls with teams like the Lakers and Suns. Going back as far as the days of Double Dribble on the NES, I'd have a hard time finding a basketball game I'd consider to be less fun than Shootout 2001. However, there was a bright spot or two. The icon passing mode works rather smoothly, and the play by play commentary is quiet well done, but both are to be expected of a basketball game in this day and age.

4-0 out of 5 stars Okay, but similar to the rest
This game is pretty good, first of all. But if you have 2000, then there's no use in getting 2001. The graphics ar just a very little bit better, and the game still has the hundred some slam dunks, which is cool. Has no new features or anything amazingly attractive, but still a good game. I only reccommend it if you don't have 2000. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Password is Annoying!
This is a great puzzle game and would be well worth 5 stars if this game didn't have passwords for each level. This is a GBA game, shouldn't we be pass the password stage? I have just finished level 4 and in the beginning I thought this game would be easy. Boy was I wrong. Around level 4 things begin to pick up and the game becomes more the puzzle game I was expecting. The best way to compare this game is to Tetris 2 because of the matching colors and the stars, but really I haven't met any comparison to this game.
The really neat thing about this game is of course the monsters. They climb up and down the puzzle grid which can be really cool and the noises they make are great. As the game goes along you pick up more monsters to pick from and they all have their different quirks as they go up and down the puzzle grid. For those who are fans of puzzles, keep playing the game and it will become addictive. Just realize, passwords are annoying but it can be fun just to watch the different monsters and their different antics, especially on the rescue stage, which is a lot of fun just to watch the monsters.
If you hate passwords, though, stay away from this game because as I said, GBA and still have passwords. I don't think so. If passwords don't bother you, then this is a great puzzle game.

3-0 out of 5 stars Rampage history
if your a big rampage fan then don't buy this it's not like any of the others. But if you like Tetris or just puzzle games you might be impressed with this game. It was ok but not as fun as the others.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good way to kill time
I liked this game but once you beat a certain mode you're done....the monsters were kind of annoying to.....good time filler, eapecially on a plane or something

2-0 out of 5 stars Stick with Tetris
I'm a fan of the arcade game "Rampage" so when i saw they had made a puzzle game for "Rampage", I was abit skeptical that it was anything like Tetris (and I love Tetris). I got myself a copy and not to my surprise, i was very unimpressed. The game itself is unchallenging and not as intense as Tetris. The premise of the game is also silly if not lacking. It's basically a puzzle game using characters from the popular "Rampage". Although you get to choose your characters, it does not effect the gameplay at all. And like the Playstation version, you are allowed to retreive saved games with passwords. However, unlike the PS version, the password is very long.

I didn't give it a one star because younger kids may like this game. Like i had mentioned before, it's not all that challenging. Although it might be for younger audiences.

5-0 out of 5 stars Puzzles not your thing? Try the game anyway!
I am an extreme gaming fanatic, but usually puzzle games aren't my thing. I still decided to try RAMPAGE... and LOVED it! The concept is very, very easy, and it is easy to get good at.

The game is somewhat like tetris, but instead of fitting pieces together in a row, you must match the same color of blocks, and erase them by using special blocks called "detoblocks"

The best part of the game is a mode called : "puzzle mode." In puzzle mode, one gets a fixed amount of turns to eliminate ALL blocks.

Overall, this is an addictive game with better graphics than most puzzlers. My one and only complaint is that one must use a password save; it is very annoying (especially in this game) because every level (which I may add are very short)has a new password. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Ugh!
Okay, I'm online looking for a new playstation memory card because I've had this one since I started playing RPGs (and that was a few years ago). It sucks. That is all I can say. You restart your game and it will just turn the page on you. It shouldn't take a whole lot of complicated button pushing in order to find your saved data. I've lost countless games this way. I don't know WHY I haven't gotten anything new up till now. I guess I'm just hoping one day it'll start working properly, besides the fact that I haven't been playing many PS One games lately. Anyway, I'm online today looking for a new memory card because I felt the need to dust off my FFVII game and take it out for a replay. Well, I'd learned with this card that you have to save more than one copy of the same game data cuz it can be gone in an instant. I had only two copies because the card insisted there was no more space even though I can scroll down and see about 10 open. So, I turn on my playstation this afternoon and one of my files is completely gone like it was never there. The other gives me a "file ruined" message. Do not buy this worthless piece of crap. My dad got it for my sister and me because it was cheap and the large amount of space was appealing. That's its only upside.

5-0 out of 5 stars Problems with Loading Blocks.
Ok here's how it works. I had to jack with this thing for a few minutes, but I think I got it figured out.

Put the memory card in one of the slots, then start your ps with the lid open or no cd in. The memory card will cycle through it's spaces. Once this is done a one will appear to the right. Now open the memory card explorer. Once you're in there Press and hold "Start" now press "L1" & "R1" at the same time. You'll see a small "." appear next to the number. Let go of "L1" & "R1". Now press "L1" or "R1" to cycle through the available spaces. Once you're on the space you want press "Start". Now load your game. Each time you shut off the playstation the memory card should start on the space you selected and you won't need to select a different one until the space is full.

FINAL NOTES: make sure if you're using a Game Shart or Code Breaker, that you have enough blocks to store the codes and save your game on the same space.

also when you try to cycle throught he bolcks the first time, the card may start doing a weird blinking and then cycle through all of the blocks slowly. No big deal, let it do it's thing and then follow the steps above once more.

if you need further help email me mlewis@1boredprogrammer.com

2-0 out of 5 stars Yeah... start, L1, and R1 doesn't work.
I assume it's because I use this on a PS2, but I can't scroll pages at all. It hasn't erased any memory so far, but because I can only use the one page it's more like just a Massively Expensive Memory Card.

Does anybody know WHEN you're supposed to press start, L1, and R1? Is it at the loading screen, the browser, when the game's already loaded...?

Jungle Book is the funnest game made for Game Gear! There are dozens of levels including Jungle By Day, The Great Tree, Kaa, Dawn Patrol, By the River, In the River, The Village, Louie 1, The Falling Ruins, Louie 2, Jungle at Sunset, Jungle by Night, then Shere Khan! I personally loved it and have played it for hours! I also like how Mowgli throughs bananas at bad monkeys!

4-0 out of 5 stars the BEST game gear game!!!
after playing DEEP DUCK TROUBLE, and ALADDIN, i finally got jungle book for the game gear. Deep duck trouble must be the WORST game of all time! anyways, in JUNGLE BOOK, i think it is the ONLY game gear game where u can actualy ATTACK. the other games i played on game gear the ONLY thing you could do is JUMP! how boring. i love jungle book u can actually attack the enemies. you have to find 8 gems to pass the level, and u can to climb vines. the only bad thing is, that its a lil too hard. i never got passed the first stage

Jungle Book is the third best Disney Movie Game for Game Gear, it is in the format of Aladdin(JumpingNRunning alot but Aladdin pulls it off MUCH!! better than Jungle book. Jungle Book also faals into the trap of being a direct clone of the Genesis version(Which was more challenging anyway) which doesn't give it of the originality that Aladdin posses. Aladdin is best, then Lion King(which is not much better), and Jungle Jungle Book is last because at least Lion King was more challenging. But they both are clones of their big cousin. Editorial Review

The little yellow guy with a big appetite for dots is making a name for himself on the NEOGEO. This faithful pocket-sized reproduction of the early-'80s arcade classic offers instant gratification for those who want to gobble up some spare time. Unfortunately, the joystick on this portable unit doesn't respond extremely well on sharp turns, which can be the kiss of death when you're being chased by those pesky ghosts Pinky, Inky, Blinky, or Clyde.

Play takes place in full-screen or scroll modes. Scroll mode poses more of a challenge as you can see only one corner of the board at all times, which can make it hard to avoid ghosts. It may not be as advanced as many other titles for the NEOGEO, but nothing beats the addictive arcade action of Pac-Man. If you are looking for a game to just pick up and play, snatch up this title. It's still as much fun as when you first played it at the arcade all those years ago. --Carrie Bell

  • Retains all the charm and excitement of the original arcade classic
  • One of the best games for short spurts of gameplay

Its a classic, but......
Pac Man in undoubtedly the most successful and one of the most influential video games ever, but today, the original game alone does not dignify the price. Lord only knows why the puzzle game Pac Attack was included in the GB version but not in this version-if they were going to package a Pac game by itself it should have been Ms.Pac Man, because at least in that game the stages change for a minimal amount of variety. Still, beneath the simple veneer lies an incredibly addictive and exciting game, and hardcore Pac Man fans never get tired of Pac Man's one and only board. If you are a Neo Geo pocket owner and a Pac fan and you dont own a GB, buy this. otherwise, check out the GBC "Special editions" of Pac Man and Ms.Pac Man which give more bang for your buck.

5-0 out of 5 stars A nice little pocket version of Pac-Man
This is a great pocket version of Pac-Man. The Neo Geo Pocket control stick is difficult at first to get to respond as quickly as it should on sharp turns, but once you get used to it, it gets much easier. If you get the full boxed version you get a little plastic 4-way adapter that you snap onto the control stick to limit movement to up-down-left-right (no diagonals), and that makes the control just about perfect. I didn't think it would do much, but it made a noticeable inprovement in the control. A couple of extra 4-way adapters are also included in case of loss. Other than that, there's not much to say. It's Pac-Man.

4-0 out of 5 stars worth it
one good thing is that even with standard shipping..i got this in 2 days...almost as good as the original arcade..the joystick on the neogeo is a little hard.. but the bottom line is..after practice..this game is awesome, and it is SO worth the money

4-0 out of 5 stars It is but Pac-Man
Pac-Man: The story of a yellow circle that has a singular goal in life-to eat endless amounts of dots. He is chased by 4 ghosts who undenyably never give up their relentless chase of our hero. He can stop them by eating power pills, but he has but only four. If you enjoy this epic adventure, then this game is for you. It has the original graphics and sound. It is very challenging, as it always was--now because it has 2 different views to chose from. You can either be able to see one corner of the maze at a time, or the whole thing, which is better than the Game Boy version. I suppose the problem with this game is that it is simply Pac-Man and nothing more. There are no new modes, no new levels, and no new graphics. Pac-Man was a great game, and the legend lives on with this title. Buy it if you like Pac-Man, otherwise move along.

Review
I love the original and I read a lot of complaints about the controls on the game. I found them to be true occasionally. But after around an hour of playing, I got used to it and I am having a lot of fun with the game. I prefer to play the full screen, but the scorlling mode isn't that bad. The only real problem (if its a problem) with the game is that the ghosts have a tendency to gang up and trap you. The game is alot of fun and definatly worth picking up ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars ECW Hardcore Revolution
If you liked WWF Attitude for the playstation than this is the game for you. If you are getting sick of Attitude, which personally I don't think is possible, than you should buy this game. It has all of the ECW wrestlers from before the ECW went out of business and it has a lot of cool matches. My favorite match is a barbed wire match were the ropes are exchanged for barbed wire.
When you whip your opponent into the ropes their back gets all bloody. This is probably why they gave the game rating of "M" for mature. Still this is one of the best wrestling games of all time. I really like the fact that you get to beat the crap out of Paul Haymen when ever you want.

ECW Hardcore Revolution
I'd say if you're looking for a few laughs it's cool. But other than that, the moves are horrific. The finishers are the most choppy. The create-a-wrestler menu barely gives you an option. If people like that game, ok. I would really recommend getting a PS2 with WWE Here Comes The Pain.

5-0 out of 5 stars ECW, ECW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
VERY COOL, but not for little kids
GREAT GRAPGICS, GOOD GAMEPLAY!
not very many custom-wrestler parts.

OVERALL IT IS VERY VERY COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!

this game is better than wwf attittude.

2-0 out of 5 stars The Gameis O.K
This game is o.k but it takes to long to load and even loner to load on a PS2 system I was not apeccting anything better that it was because Acclaim because they can;t make wreslting games and when I go into death math mode I only got the table in the corner of the area once in about 20 times. But I loved the barded wire math the should make more wwe game with blood or a on or off button for the blood. The finishers ...or rvd to do the five star frog splash you have to beat your oppent to a pult and you have to pree way too many buttons. I have played this game on the N64 and it is much better on N 64 than on playtation . I wold rent this game first then buy it ... ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars geez i stopped playing the first time i got it
The levels are so boring. It deserves to be on the cheapest and worst system. Like, it's alot more fun to use the money to drive go carts rather spending on this junk. It's all too flat. Racing games are only good with obstacals like ramps, water splash, and stuff to run over. If you really want to try it, rent it or play at someones house who has this lame game

1-0 out of 5 stars dont bother
i found this game dull and boring the whole game layout was not worth my money racing is fun but unrelistic crashes.the open wheel cars on the game are way different from the movie bly and tanto go by team spirt (korny) simulation is bad. if was do do it all over agin i would go with cart fury or f1 2002
as i said dont bother

5-0 out of 5 stars At Last a Different Take on the Driving Genre
With the odds stacked against them (Driven the movie not doing particularly well) Bam have delivered an exciting and refreshing driving game based around CART (not F1). The graphics are clean and detailed, car physics make for realistic crashes and handling and the whole thing runs at a blistering 60fps giving a real sense of extreme speed especially when racing through the streets of New York and Paris. There are also a plethora of modes to play in including a 15 chapter Story Mode which kept me picking it up again and again. Highly Recommended 8.5/10

5-0 out of 5 stars Driven is good
If you enjoyed the racing scenes in the movie you will love this game. The most interesting feature is a "in the zone" feature which is the same as in the movie. Great crash scenes also.

1-0 out of 5 stars Inappropriate Cover Art
Although I'm sure Sly Stalone is too busy thinking about where his career went wrong, the PR people who designed the cover art for "Driven" should have realized the inappropriate juxtaposition of the twin towers with the exploding race car. As far as I'm concerned, this game and it's offensive cover should be pulled from the shelves. ... Read more
