2-0 out of 5 stars This Game Should Be Lost With The Continent!!!
I received this game with great excitement when I was very new to the GBA. At first, this game was very exciting. But after I passed the first three levels, it was way too hard. So all I know is that this game is really iffy. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that. I mean, sure, the first level, which is the boiling room, is cool. Then the second level where you need to rescue the fifteen-trapped crewmembers within 5 minuets. That's nice, too. Then the third level where you need to get to the aqua-evac escape subs. Even if it's boring, it's good. But then there's level four where you need to follow Kida toward Atlantis. This is why I hate it. It's impossible to win!!!!! Don't buy this game. Well that's it. I hope this review has helped you and encourages you not to get this game cartridge.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good game
I am an adult who likes difficult games. I enjoyed this game because there was a lot of strategy. You have to gather a specified number of crystals on each level and find hidden objects. You can easily complete some of the first levels without finding things, but what fun is that. I like to discover every element of the game. Some levels have a time limit which adds to the challenge. Each level has a password so you can keep trying until you find everything if you want. I have played for hours and still have not collected every crystal, but have completed the game. Even though it is a Disney game, it may be to hard for younger children to complete. It helps to read the hints in the instruction manual.

Editorial Review

Tracing the evolution of console football can take you on a nostalgic trip back to games like Tecmo Bowl and Walter Payton Football, but the genre reached the mainstream with the release of the first Madden Football title in the early '90s. Since then, Madden has become the pro football simulation game to beat.

One key to the series' longevity is that it has never deviated from the original formula of perfectly balancing entertaining gameplay with realistic feel. So naturally, Madden NFL 2000 brings that same addictive feel, while being spruced up with tons of peripheral options. The most noticeable changes from last year's version are the faster gameplay and smoother frame rates.

Madden NFL 2000 features all 31 NFL teams, all-time Super Bowl teams, the Madden Millennium team, and 200 more that can be "unlocked." The game uses the patented TV-style presentation with play-by-play commentary by John Madden and Pat Summerall. Improved player and play editors, comprehensive player movement, trading for draft picks, and the awesome franchise mode, all combined in one package, produce a title that is unparalleled in console gaming. It's time to tackle Madden NFL 2000 and make it one to own. --Sajed Ahmed

5-0 out of 5 stars The best one yet!
I started playing "Madden" football starting with Madden '98. I loved it. Then moved on to '99. I loved it even more. Now, with Madden 2000, the games just get better and better. I love the franchise mode. You can trade more than one player along with draft picks. Sign players at any time, and my favorite thing, the players get better with time & experience. The gameplay is the best of the previous Madden games. Shoestring catches, tiptoeing down the sideline, big plays, and tough defense. As far as football games go, It doesn't get any better than this. I can't tear myself away from the playstation because of this game. Don't hesitate buying it.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Football Game Yet
Madden 2000 is the best sports game I've ever played. I've been playing sports games, particularly football games, all the way back to the ATARI 2600 days, and no game has been even close to this one. First of all, I'll start off with the obvious; the graphics are amazing. Anyone can see this the minute they start playing a game. Every year, the players look more and more life-like. I can't wait to see what the Madden crew will cook up for the Playstation 2. The game-play on all past Madden versions has been excellent, and the latest version is, of course, an improvement. However, the aspect that sets this game apart from past versions is the fact that I never get sick of it. I've been playing it (almost exclusively) since it came out, and I still can't wait to play it again; I think my wife might file for divorce because she's sick of watching me play it! In this version, the options available as a general manager between seasons are so interesting, that I keep playing season after season. Players abilities change from season to season; players retire; you can re-sign players or release them; you can make trades for players or draft picks; free agents can be created, but you can't just put them on your team, you have to sign them and fit them under the salary cap; you can sign other free agents; you can draft and sign rookies; and last you can rearrange your depth chart and get ready for the next season. It's interesting just to see how the players you draft progress from year to year. Finally, the Madden Challenge keeps my interest level high; this series of in game tasks and trivia questions provides extra incentive to keep playing the game, in case the game itself isn't addicting enough for you. All in all, I found this game challenging, but easy enough that it wasn't frustrating; the graphics are great; and the general manager options and Madden Challenge keep the game interesting indefinitely. If you're looking for a sports game to buy that will be fun to play for a long time to come, Madden NFL 2000 is the one to choose.

4-0 out of 5 stars A fun game but...
Even after a couple of years this version of Madden can still be fun to play. It looks and plays better than the previous version. You get plenty of options such as the ability to play great games from the past, such as the playoff game between The Dolphins and Chargers from the early 80's and a madden challange, such as completing certain tasks during the game to earn points, unlocking secret teams and stadiums, and the franchise mode can be played up to 30 seasons and is the best feature. Unfortunately, I've noticed as I've progressed through the franchise mode, some of the games I play tend to freeze up, which can be very annoying, specially if your having a good game. Sometimes I've had to skip to the next game after I've restarted the game a few times, and it would freeze up during gameplay again, booooo! I wonder.. if EA actually tests their product out to make sure it runs ok before releasing it. When I used to play Madden '96 and '97 on The Super Nes I'd create players and save a season only too find out after a short period of time the memory was back at zero again and I never deleted anything. In Madden 2001 for Playstation I tried to load my season some time ago but got a message how the file couldn't be loaded. It's too bad such a problem like this has to occur in an overly good game or any game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Hey, even though im 12, read my review
Hey, if you like football, than go and buy this game. The graphics are superb. All the madden challgne make the game nore better than the rest. Go on many season. O yea, theres one thing that [is not good] that makes it a four star, i can cream the other team in offense but not in d-fense. I can get over 1,000 yards passing every game, with the Dallas Cowboys and have 7 players to have over 100 yds per game in yds in catching. and all running backs over 200 yds each. But in defense the other team gets over 600 yds, but i beat them like 200 to 16, but itz fun. So if you like football, than get this game, ...!

5-0 out of 5 stars 4 player makes it all worth it
I'll agree the single player is no so much fun, and the computer controlled opponents are not much fun to play againist... but the real reason to own this game is to hook up the multitap and have four people battle each other in a variety of levels and environments. You need to play single player enough to open some of the cooler levels, such as the soccer penalty kicks, but then you are ready for some good times. Friends who aren't gamers will have a good time with this.

4-0 out of 5 stars if you want to relive your youth, go somewhere else
This is not the Pong you once new. It has been so thoroughly updated that it's practically a new game. But the idea is the same: put the ball into the goal without it coming back into yours.

This new Pong has different environments and different levels within each. It's fairly easy to figure out the rules for each environment, but they're still challenging to get through.

I definately think this is worth the money, and not just for the kids.

5-0 out of 5 stars Exciting and Tense!
Pong is a game that was made back, who knows when but this is the remade version. If you want a beginning game to play if you have just recently gotten Playstation, this is one of them. There are 20 exciting and wierd levels to play. If you ever get stuck, there are codes all over the web. I bought this game and immediately fell in love with it. I recommend it for anyone who knows the basic buttons of a Playstation controller. Thank you for reading this review.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing for an old-time fan
Okay, I'm a grownup, and not that into current video games. To date myself, I even played the precurser of Atari Pong on a row of lights on a PDP-11 (!) But...I loved Atari's original and I was hoping for something more skill than strategy oriented, less visually cluttered and aurally ugly than this disappointing jumbled mess which plays to very, very short attention spans and eyes used lots and lots of flashy stimuli. I wanted it to be more beautiful, lovely to listen to, and subtler... sigh.

1-0 out of 5 stars How could they do this to a classic game?
Pong was one of the greatest and most addicting game of its time. It still is. And here comes Hasbro, thinking they're "oh so cool" to have the honor to update the game for a 90s style version. THIS is what they came up with? What an insult to the original play of the beautiful game that was such a landmark in every way. This is pitiful gaming at its worse. (No, actually its a decent game... go figure) ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Wave rally: 3.5 stars
Wave rally can be a fun game, but it takes some time to get the hang of it. So here's a rundown of what i think of this game:

Graphics: 4.5/5. The water looks AWESOME on this game!!! It's super-realistic and it even has the reflection thing goin on! Some courses have clearer water than others. The players look human too, but some players have similar uniform colors... The only problem is the rain doesn't really make ripples in the water, but that would be hard to do. It looks better than wave race, which has stick-figure-girls, bad-anime-guys, and just plain average water. But nintendo's for little kids, so it shouldn't be compared.

Control: 3.5/5. I got the hang of it pretty quickly, but some people say it's hard. go figure... Don't press forward or back, it tips your jetski. And i can only figure out like 3 tricks, freestyle mode isn't that fun.

Courses/Setup: 4/5. The courses are fun and interesting, really beautiful as i said above. The thailand one is too hard though. In pro mode the other racers will ram you. The main screen is very user-friendly, and two player and time trial are pretty fun. One BIG(HUGE) problem is that i don't think you can save in championship mode so count on spending an hour+ if you wanna play that.

Sound: 2.5/5. It's sort of hard to hear the music 'cause the engine is set really loud on default. You can fix it so it's better though. The music is alright, it's sort of techno-ish but doesn't distract from your playing. The anouncer sounds like a ... and the players don't really have exciting things to say.

In summary: I really like it cuz i got the hang of it, but it has a few problems and some people will wanna burn the disc(lol)... You either like it or you don't.

2-0 out of 5 stars just not that good
This game is just not good. It has nothing extra to do but race on track and do a crapy freestal thing. The tricks suck and are hard to learn. Maby a rental but nothing other than that.

1-0 out of 5 stars Wave Rally
This is the worst game ever.Graphics is the only good point to this game.

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible Attempt At Water Sports
Don't judge this game by the wonderful pictures on the front and back cover. This game absolutely blows. There are so many things wrong with this game - where do I start? If you're a big fan of "Splashdown" (as I am), this game will sorely disappoint. First - the jet ski moves incredibly slow. Second - try making a quick or sharp turn... the jet ski has no edge to it. Third - try getting some serious air when you go over a jump (it is next to impossible... this makes doing ANY trick/stunt next to impossible as well. Fourth - the water (as one reviewer stated) looks like very nice "jello". Indeed it does. It just wobbles... there is no wake or spray. Fifth - You can't see the markers until you're practically right up on them. Sixth - music is lame and the sound effects (motor) are just horrible (my 10 year old lawn mower sounds better than this). Absolutely horrible game any way you slice it. Rent (if you must) before you buy... you've been warned!

A so B-O-R-I-N-G game
I didnt like it at all.these are the reasons why

1.the tricks are SOOOOO dificult to perform and the runabout jet ski hardly has tricks

2. the gameplay is HORIBLE 'cause u only get to play some tracks when u win about 5 VERY HARD races. also in a jump when u land only a bit to the side you fall off.

3.when u play with the runabout jet ski u hardly can turn!only modifying the edging and all that stuff it turns a bit more decent.

If I could put no stars I would. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars great story short game, leaves something lacking
The game has a great story and great cutscene graphics, but the shortness of the game drove the overall game way down. The cutscenes are awesome, but had the game had some special moves (instead of chop, chop, chop) and about two more discs and a more involved storyline, this game cold have acheived greatness.

1-0 out of 5 stars BOO
I bought this game because it had a catchy action style name and looked pretty descent in the magazine reviews. It just goes to show that looks are deceiving. Folks Im gonna get straight to the point THIS GAME [stinks]! Boring repetetive gameplay with little reward for the ammount of blistering finger smashing you have to do when fighting an enemy. Gameplay is slow Cheapshots from enemies are common and difficulty is to hard with no reward for your troubles. Man am I glad Funcoland buys used games.

1-0 out of 5 stars Warriors my...
I bought this thinking it would be like Crusaders, it was similar but warped. You couldn't chose your runes on your weapons for example and the spells were weaker. The enemies were ok, i guess. The worst part is I paid [money] for 2.5 hours of pointless, storyless, crap. Don't waste your money, wait for Crusaders 2 to come out.

1-0 out of 5 stars DON'T EVER BUY THIS !
First of all they flat out lied. 12 hours of intense gameplay my but! I beat it in two and a half. A whole arsenal of intense spells. How about 7 or 8 spells. The story made little sense. and the battle was weird. The first of three bosses you fight is harder than the last. and a enemy who you caN't hurt fears him? Don't buy this game. Pitty those at 3DO who spent good time making it

4-0 out of 5 stars Good 20.00 game
This game was good but to short, and even though you did not really need all that much skill to play it, it did offer some interesting challenges. I wouldn't really call it a RPG, it was more like an action game. Other Might and Magic games are more thought out and more complicated, ie.. "Warriors of Might and Magic" does NOT have a map or a FLYING spell to get around with. Unlike other M&M PC games that do. Warriors does have some really cool movies that further the plot and are, combined with the game, worth the 20.00. but if you can get it cheaper it would be better. ... Read more

Bad is a to nice of word for this game.

1-0 out of 5 stars This game sucks
This game should be banned, because its like you are just wasting your money. the game play is horrible, i hate the controls. madden 2001 is the best! just about everything about nfl quarterback club sucks, if you like this game than i suggest you check with your doctor

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst Game EVER
This is beyond any shadow of a doubt the worst game that has ever been made. I would rather play Pong than this game. The controls are totally inaccurate, and the game is beyond slow. If you want to play a good football game, look elsewhere because this disk is best used as a frisbee.

1-0 out of 5 stars don't buy
This game is terrible! It is almost impossible to play defense on this game. Very difficult to tackle and impossible to cover the wide outs. If your going to buy a game buy NFL2K.

3-0 out of 5 stars Save your money ! get nfl 2k1!
Although this game has improved over last years version it still does not measure up to nfl 2k or even the playstations versions of madden and gameday 2001. Wide open receivers drop easy catches the computer defensive line often cheats and you can still gain big yards with any quaterback running the bootleg. I was playing the super bowl and had a big lead and all of a sudden late in the game the computer started controlling the action and i just managed to hang on to win( plays repeating that i didn't call- ext). Okay for a rental but, if you must have a game get one of the other titles that are coming out, and leave this one in the store. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars WORST Game of The YEAR
This is the worst game of all time. The only reason anyone else should suffer and pay good money for this terible excuse for a game is if they have some sick devotion to MEN IN BLACK. I would not give this game to my worst enemy. PLEASE if you are reading this, STAY AWAY from this game.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money.
I've played just about every single published GBA game (inc. japanese ones). ...and none of them are as disappointing as this one. The graphics quality would be acceptable if this were GBC game, but it's embarrassing to see such blocky graphics in GBA. The controls are unresponsive. ...and the sound. Words cannot describe how abysmal the sounds this game are. You'd have to hear it yourself to believe it - and once you have, you'd wish that you hadn't.

Not to mention that this game is incredibly short. Only eight levels, and it took me less than ten minutes to complete each level.

Avoid this sorry excuse for a game, and instead get Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Wario Land 4 (not yet available in states), Super Mario Advance, or even Pinobee or Rayman Advance - any of those are more fun than this.

1-0 out of 5 stars ONE PIECE MANSION
I WOULD NOT NO. I AM STILL WAITING TO GET THIS GAME. ITS BEEN TWO WEEKS ALREADY. AND IM STILL WAITING FOR THIS ONE AND TWO OTHER GAMES TO COME TO MY HOUSE.

4-0 out of 5 stars A nice blast of old-school puzzle game fun
As the PS1 enters its "twilight" era, it's interesting to see what's slipping through the cracks and hitting the shelves now that Sony doesn't require everything to be thick with rotating 3D camera angles and hit a million units in sales. Case in point? "One Piece Mansion." It's non-violent, with some well-done cartoony 2D graphics, and the open-ended, non-story based mode is a maddening and yet addictive experience. It's a nice throwback to old-school puzzle games like Tetris - a genre that we haven't seen nearly enough of in recent years.

4-0 out of 5 stars A surprisingly enjoyable game
"One Peice Mansion" is one of the most original games I've played the past few years. It's hard to explain the gameplay, but the easiest way to explain it is that it's a puzzle type game where you place tenants in rooms, effecting the stress levels of their neighbors, good or bad, and you try and drive out bad guys by putting tenants next to them that put their stress up, and you try and meet goals while doing all this. It sounds complicated, but is in a way like Tetris in that you have to place your "peices" right so you can accomplish your goal, and, while actually playing, is really very simple and addicting. The graphics aren't mind blowing, but are well-above average for a puzzle/startagy game, the controls and very straight forward, and the sound fits the game, but it's not the kind of music that you'll want to turn your stereo off for. If your really into puzzle type games, this is a definate must buy, being the best puzzler of the yearprobably, and others should at least rent it. You might find a little hidden gem...

3-0 out of 5 stars Simple and Short
This is a game with an interesting premise. You control the superintendent of an apartment with very weird tenants. Each tenant radiates either good or bad will through the walls. Renters that receive too much bad will literally explode and cause damage to the apartment. It's a delicate balance of placing the residents in a small building without them exploding. To mix things up, a rival landlord will send troublemakers to stay in your complex.

The games has very short story mode that most puzzle gamers will solve in one or two sittings. There is an "endless mode" where there is no goal except to see how long you can last.

The user interface is good and fast. The graphics are cute and well rendered. The music is forgettable and the sound effects are so-so.

This is one of those "could have been" games. The story could have been longer and better integrated. The sound effects could have been more dramatic. Some sort of multiplayer would have extended the life of the game ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst Monster Rancher Ever!
This game has nothing to do with the Monster Rancher series except for the characters that ride the pogo sticks. Very similar to a very old game on Commodore 64 called Bounder, it's a very non-replayable, unenjoyable game...

5-0 out of 5 stars Extreamly good game!
This game is wonderful. It is playable by all ages and yet is fun for all. The actual game has over 80 levels which are extreamly fun. Once you beat those 80 the fun doesnt end though! You and your friends can create custom levels and challenge each other to beat them. It never gets boring!

It works just fine. I can link Game Boy Advance to another GBA, or to Game Boy Color or Game Boy Pocket, and it works with all Game Boy games. It's very pleasurable to find a Game Link Cable that can do it all these days. Great product; highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dose what it says it dose !
For the price it is worth it and it works with the game boy color !

And I got this for my son and he is happy and has no complaints !

5-0 out of 5 stars Does what it says it does...
This absolutely fantastic device allows you to link two gameboys together for multiplayer action, or friendly battles with friends. Unfortunately in my case the endless battles with my girlfriend eventually lead to a bitter break up, two broken hearts, and a restraining order. But the cable still works even after striking my skin several times, and the hood of my car as well. Very durable. It has my 5 stars.

3-0 out of 5 stars Recognizing This is a Fun Game, I Accept the Flaws.
OK. So this game is not as good as Metal Gear Solid, or as realistic as Rainbow Six (PC version), it still has a lot of bang for the buck. The idea of a two-man hit and run operation appeals to many, and this game does it fairly well. Graphics are all right, but they are good enough to get the job done. Sound and music is fair as well, but the voices are a bit cheesy. Now, my gripes. Choices in firepower are great, but all of the weapons have the same performance levels. Believe me, in real life, a Barrett .50 sniper rifle has MORE knockdown than a suppressed 9mm HK MP5SD. Grenades are hard to aim, and the controls are tricky to master. The game's difficulty is another factor, and it is hard to see a difference in the three difficulty levels. All in all however, it is a fun game, and the ability to command two Rangers using cooperative cover/maneuver light infantry tactics is this game's strongest point. Anyway, if you want a fun, (VERY)challenging and moderately realistic game..., try it out.

5-0 out of 5 stars NOT YOUR AVERAGE GAME BY A LONG SHOT, PURE FUN.
I AM A HUGE FAN OF CLANDESTINE OP TYPE GAMES (METAL GEAR SOLID, SYPHON FILTER 1&2, CHASE THE EXPRESS [OR COVERT OPS: NUCLEAR DAWN IN THE STATES]ALSO A GOOD BUY) AND THIS ONE MADE ME DOUBTFUL ESPECIALLY DUE TO THE LOW PRICE. I WAS THINKING THAT THIS WAS ANOTHER RAINBOW SIX CLONE,YOU KNOW GOOD ON PAPER BUT BUT TERRIBLE ON THE PLAYSTATION. BUT, WHEN YOU SWITCH TO THE 3RD PERSON MODE AND START TO SCOUT THE TERRAIN WITH NVG'S AND SWITCH 1ST PERSON VIEW TO SNIPE ENEMIES WITH THE SILENCED MP5, BELIEVE ME COMING FROM A SERVICE MEMBER THAT'S BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT ITS VERY CLOSE TO THE REAL THING. THE FEEL, JUST YOU AND YOUR BUDDY, MANY KLICKS BEHIND THE LINES, YOU MAKE THE CALL! CAN YOU HACK IT? SPEND THE CASH AND FIND OUT!

Fun Game
This game was pretty easy, although it did take me a month and a half to beat it though. The good things about the game is the two player. Another good thing is the variety of weapons and items you can choose from. Plus the night vision goggles are pretty good, and the map was pretty easy to read. Now to the bad things. The graphics are horrible. You move around so weird, and when you shoot an enemy you don't even have to be close. As long as your a few feet from them. Enemy AI was horrible. When they shot at you they didn't even move. I recommend you rent this game first, and then if you like it then buy it.

2-0 out of 5 stars Frustration
THe only good thing about this game is that you can play with a buddy and both die together. The controls are confusing. When I attempt to change my weapons from my inventory I invariably get shot. I thought the "Private" level would let me get used to the game. I cannot last more than 3 minutes here! If this is easy I cannot imagine the difficult levels. Please save your money.

2-0 out of 5 stars [Weak]!
I love war type games, and when my brother bought this, I thought it was going to be great. I guess I was expecting a bit much, maybe a lot much. The game's graphics are putrid. awful sounds, and [weak] gameplay. No good plots either. Enemies have the strangest ability of shooting through trees and small hills at you, but you can't shoot them. It took two days to finish it. It was the worst I have played.

The upside - . . .Wait, what upside?

The downside - About everything. If you are thinking of buying the game, do yourself a favor and rent it first. You might just kick yourself about it later. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars An action game to follow up the SH opener
We all thought that Resident Evil: Nemesis was really as good as it gets for the survival horror series, the pre-renders, the character detail, and even the CGs were beautiful. Dino Crisis 2 takes all of that and makes it better. As usual just like any survival horror game, DC2 uses the pre-rendered backgrounds instead of real-time environments. The pre-renders look just slightly better than any RE game out there, and improving upon pre-renders is a pretty tough task. The I haven't seen many CGs, but the intro CG isn't as clean as those found in Nemesis. Though when I first took a glance at Dino Crisis 2, I noticed that the character detail was significantly improved. The body structures are far smoother than any game out there right now, the hands, legs and the head are all jointed to the body seamlessly. There is absolutely no polygonal clipping, everything is smoothed out properly and Capcom gave the game that little extra to please gamers like me. Dino Crisis 2 also displays three to four dinosaurs on one screen with absolutely no slow-down. The visual detail in each dinosaur is extremely realistic, I have never seen enemies as detailed as those velociraptors or that incredibly huge one-eyed Tyrannosaurus Rex, folks mark my words these are the best visuals of all the survival horror games (excluding Code Veronica). Overall I am deeply impressed with the graphics that DC2 boasts, this is without a doubt one of the best looking PS games of the year.
DC2 is survival horror but not exactly. What do I mean? Dino Crisis 2 takes the Resident Evil formula, throws it into the blender along with some new elements to create a game that feels like a whole new experience. Instead of the walking around picking up bullets, new guns and what ever, you now buy them! Yes buy them, but not exactly with money, you use your Extinction Points which are picked up by killing dinosaurs. Smaller dinos are worth anywhere from 100-600 points and at times more. The larger dinosaurs will grant you 2500+ points for your shopping needs. You buy equipment, med-kits, and back-up weapons from a computer like gismo which can be found slapped on walls. Accessing this little computer, will open up a menu that will ask you to Save or Shop. When you shop you can even upgrade your current weapon by adding more ammo to it by buying a new cartridge that can hold more bullets or flame power. If you are running low on ammo then you can also stop by one of the computerized shops to charge your weapon back to full power. Another new feature added in Dino Crisis 2 is the Combo System. The Combo System works like this; when you kill a dinosaur and then kill another one while the point score number is still showing then you will get a combo for that. If you have multiple enemies on the screen then use something that will hit at least two enemies at once, or just try to kill enemies as fast as possible. Every time you enter a new door your statistics and final score will show for what you had for that particular area, and if you are skilled enough and don't get harmed once you can earn an extra 2000 points.
Dino Crisis 2 starts out with what may be the best intro video that a game has seen, I won't get into it, I want to leave that for you to see. You start out as Regina and Dylan, the two main characters of the game. They arrive at the jungle via time-machine only to find out that the amount of dinos that inhabit in their is far too much for the troops to take care of. After some awesome sequences, the game sets you up as Dylan, a T.R.A.T trooper who is equipped with a blade that can be used for slashing away vines that have grown on a locked door. Dylan's main weapon is a shotgun with 200 bullets of ammo. As you walk around the game will waste no time throwing velociraptors at you, they will surround you so you better use the R2 button [to do a 180 degree spin] effectively. After Regina will take over because of an emergency that happens just a few minutes after you pick up the control of Dylan. She is equipped with a Handgun and a Stun Gun that can be used to zap electronically locked doors so they would open. A map is another inclusion that can be used to our advantage, blue marks mean open doors, red marks mean closed doors and an "S" stands for a shop. The map will pin-point your location and really help you out throughout the game, this is a very useful feature. Dino Crisis 2 can only be described as the best survival horror game that Capcom or any other company has made, and yes that is including Resident Evil: Code Veronica, it's that good!
The voice acting between RE1 and RE2 was a dramatic leap in both timing and quality, and the same can be said for Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2. The voice acting is superb, with excellent quality, voice comprehension and best of all near perfect timing. The screaming of the dinosaurs is the one thing that makes the sound such a killer (sorry about the pun), the T-Rex will scream so loud that it will actually move you backward. Background music also accompanies you when you are battling of dinosaurs, and best of all you can hear the dinos in the bushes as they are trying to attack you.
Controlling your characters is exactly like Resident Evil games. Nothing can be really said about the control except that you can side-step and do a few new things.
This game is awesome, it is highly recommended in every department
9.6 / 10

3-0 out of 5 stars Great graphics only
I played this game like more than 20 times and I got bored cuz it was too short. Whatever happened to the chilling bass like they used on Dino Crisis 1 and on the Resident Evil series?? The graphics in this game are gorgeous-awesome especially the way Regina and Dylan interact each other throughout the game, but I just don't like the idea of killing dinosaurs for gaining points. That ain't real. The whole game is really based on the jungle during the day. Capcom should've also add couple of scenes taking during at night so the game players would get scared expecting a dinosaur or something coming out of the jungle attacking them...that would scare the heck out their flesh like in Silent Hill. But instead we get an arcade-like game with the kind of music you go jogging or clubbing at.

I recommend everybody to rent the game before thinking of buying. If you want to play REAL horror games, stick with games like Silent Hill, Alone in the Dark, or Resident Evil 2.

5-0 out of 5 stars Running and gunning
After playing the first Dino Crisis, I was very anxious and eager to try out it's sequal, Dino Crisis 2. I was hoping for the best, that this would be the rare game that is better then it's forebearer, and I am pleased to say that the sequal blows the first one right out of the dino-infested jungle.
First off, this is not a survival horror game. Within five minnutes of picking up the controler, its obvious that this is flat out an action adventure game, just with Resident Evil style controls. In this game, it's kill or be killed, with no tranquelizers, only lots of high powered death dealing weaponry to extinguish the reptilian menace. In the first game, you had to carefully manage each and every shell or bullet in your arsenal, and you also had to mix and manage tranquelizers in case you ran out of "Hard" amunition. In this game however, bullets are plentiful, and tranquelizers are nowhere to be found. If you want to tranquiize dinosaurs, you are not playing the right game! Instead of a pistol, shotgun, and grenade gun, you get a pistol, a shotgun, a solid cannon, a heavy machine gun, missile pods, aquatic grenade launchers, flame throwers, dual handed submachine guns, etc, etc. Even the lowly handgun will kill the early dino's in just a few hits. All of these weapons are lots of fun to play around with, and some of the more powerful weapons will kill anything (except for the two big baddies) in 2 to three shots!
As you can probably guess, you'll come across some dinosaurs in the game, and there are many of them. While facing off with one raptor last time was a pain in the butt, try facing off against three at one time! And lets not even talk about the nasty oviraptors! The dinosaurs in this game pop out of every single bush you'll come across, and they are fast, nasty and mean. Luckily, the odds are even with all the death dealing weaponry you can get your hands on, but even with that, dont expect a walk in the park. Some of these nasties can kill you in a few bone crushing bites if you are not careful. Before we go any further, yes the T-Rex is in the game, and yes there is a dinosaur larger then the T-Rex, and yes it's spectacular to fight it.
Instead of a single large building to fight in, you get to fight in cretatious era jungles, a floating power plant, and in an interesting change of scenery, an underwater power-station. This is definitly an interesting change in scenery, and makes for a more refreshing gameplay experience. While an action adventure game with lots of guns and running around sounds bad with a resident evil control scheme, it actually works and is pretty easy to work. If you want, you can also use the digital analog controler, but with fixed camera angles, I found it better to use the actual directional buttons.
Along with all the new weapons, the new dinosaurs, and new scenery, there is also a pretty decent story to go along with everything. The government (The game dosent say which one) has greedily taken over Dr. Kirk's Third Energy research and of course, caused a huge problem (Bet you didint see that coming!). An entire town has vanished, leaving in it's place a jungle. So a elite military team goes...uhh...forward in the future to rescue everyone. However, things go bad, and now only three people are left to save everyone. The story exists purely to give a reason for all the killing, and it does a fairly coherient job at doing it. You assume the identity of Regina, everybody's favorite secret agent from the last game, and newcomer Dylan, who has an interesting past, and a shocking future (It'll make sense when you see it). One thing I was pleased with is that everybody is voiced by good voice actors, which makes listening to them an enjoyable experience.
One thing I absoloutly love about Dino Crisis 2 is that there are virtually no irritating puzzles to drive you insane! No more DDK disks or switching circuts! And the puzzles that are here revolve around action and are really simple "Do you want to disarm the missile, yes or no?". Another interesting puzzle invovles trapping an irritating little dino that has a key you need. Mini-games like these keep the game feeling fresh, and help spice up the game-play. On another note, in the last game you could not skip cutscenes, which got really irritationg. In this game however, you can skip cutscenes by pressing the select button. Yippie!
Unlike the first game, there are some great rewards for finishing and re-playing the game. If you collect enough dino files, you get a great bonus item (Which I'll let you find out for yourself). There are also some very interesting mini-games, in which you dont have to worry about ammo, and focus on pure dino killin action!
However, there are some problems with the game. The story is weak and could use a lot of work. The time-travel element is completly wasted, and at times just does not make any sense whatsoever. The story lacks a satisfying ending, and just stops in the ending cutscene. While what happens afterwards is hinted at, it would have been very satisfying to actually see it. The music is just that, music, with only one or two memorable tunes. In addition, the game is a bit short. It took me about eight hours to finish it the first time.
These are just small complaints however. If you loved the first game, you'll love Dino Crisis 2. Heck, if you like blasting dinosaurs to bits with lots of running and gunning, you'll probably enjoy this as well. If you love blasting and shooting, you'll like this. Highly recommended.

4-0 out of 5 stars dino 2 is way better than the first alot more action
i actually liked the sequel much better than the first
the raptors are one tough breed of dinosaur you have to be smart to survive those bastards
another is i love the fact you can buy weapons and ammunition with t
he extinct points you accmulate throughout the game watch out for gigantosaurus his roar will literally knock you on your buttocks trust me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

An Exciting Sequal
A military base, research center, and town have suddenly vanished without a trace. This incident is somehow related to the third energy, which was invented by Dr. Kirk in the last Dino Crisis. Again you take the role of Regina, plus the newcomer Dylan from T.R.A.T, you are sent to find out what happened and rescue the survivors. Now located where these buildings were located is a dense jungle full of - you guessed it, dinosaurs. Almost all of your team has been wiped out and you must somehow find you way out. This time the game focuses more on fighting than puzzle-solving. You must now have to kill the dinosaurs to earn extinct points to buy weapons, ammo, and medical supplies, which is very annoying. The replay value is good because you can then unlock the arena which you fight differnt types of dinosaurs in a pit/arena which can be loads of fun. Anyways, if you got some spare cash buy Dino Crisis 2. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Far too easy......
This game might be a bit better if it were a bit more challenging. There are 4 levels, slightly getting harder, but I think they're almost the same level of difficulty. You have to dodge different things such as frisbees and beach balls, and when you complete the level you have to go off to the dance rehearsal studio to learn a few dance moves. I don't really like them myself, although the box boasts: "Impressive dance moves just like on T.V.!". At the end you put them all together to make a show. My 4 year-old cousin could beat this, and she can't beat most games. Here is what the game boasts, and I have wrot comments to it:
"Ages 6+" Wha? No way is it six plus! More like 3+...
"A cute walking Barbie, easy to control" Well, it is easy to control, but I don't know about cute. I don't consider walking round in these pop star clothes cute, but they are nice though.
"Girls can dodge many different items flying at a speedy pace" They're not speedy. And the actual girl doesen't dodge, she controls Barbie and can make her dodge. Many different items? There's only about five different ones. Several, is the word, or a few.
"Impressive dance moves just like the ones on T.V.!" I haven't seen these dance moves anywhere on T.V. . And now I have seen them on this game, I don't find them impressive.
"This game will keep kids busy for hours!" Hours? I completed it in five minuites.
Here's how they could change the game to make it better:
*Do more levels and actually make them difficult
*How about a choice of clothes for Barbie in the show?
*Make more interesting items to dodge
*Do some exciting backgrounds
*Give it a new name: Super Model Barbie! What a joke! How about Beach Star Barbie?
*Give us some more dance moves
*Give it some cool music to match the dance
*Some special lighting for the show would be cool

If you followed those steps, it might be better. At least, it would be for me. But, at the moment, it's not worth buying.

2-0 out of 5 stars well......
This game could be a little more harder. Come on, you walk through 4 levels, avoiding people, beach balls, birds, frisbees, while going to rearsals learning cheesy danse moves(they don't change). To go to the big show, and do the crappy moves. What is worse is you have to have 5000 points and beat the last level peffect to win(the dance). It's too easy, my sister is alot more younger than me and she could beat this. If you want to waste time get this. Peace ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Major flaws hamper an otherwise enjoyable game
Like all "game show" games, this one suffers from the same flaws: (1) it's too easy to lock out your opponents by "buzzing in" early, and (2) not nearly enough questions. After only 4 plays, we started getting questions repeated. The mini-games are OK, but if they wanted an excuse to use South Park mini-games, they should have come up with a Mario-Party style RPG/Board Game to work them in, not the game show format.

4-0 out of 5 stars The Best South Park Game ever?
This game is pretty cool

The mini games are fun...I love em'..The questions are a little....eeeyy lets skip that one...The game is overall very fun...I was addicted to this game at some point....Me n' friends would have a blast playing this game...Anyone who loves South park will enjoy this game.

3-0 out of 5 stars Dumb fun for almost everyone...
Unnecessary but entertaining exploitation of the ubiquitous South Park license, the game show format is good for an hour or two of mindless trivial pursuit. The mini-games are fun but generally ridiculous knock-offs of classic arcade games. If you're not a South Park fan, you probably aren't going to buy it anyway. [...]

Amazon.com Product Description

In keeping with the film's story, the game takes place on a 1950s Yorkshire chicken farm and follows a group of loveable chickens as they try to break out of confinement. Players must help Ginger and her flock make a break for freedom while avoiding the evil Mrs. Tweedy and her oafish husband, who want to turn them into chicken pies.

When an American rooster named Rocky lands in the farm, Ginger sees her chance: these chickens won't cross the road--they'll fly the coop. Together, they prove that chickens are anything but chicken, as they engage in a daring and spectacular escape.

Set in a 3-D world that reflects the film's style, design, and atmosphere, the gameplay emphasizes stealthy exploration. You must sneak your way around the farm and gather objects that are necessary to your escape plan. Throughout the game, you'll be given the opportunity to control different characters who star in the film--Ginger, Rocky, Nick, and Fetcher. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars frustration
This game is extremely frustrating. You have to repeat tasks over and over again. On the good side, you have an unlimited numer of lives...

5-0 out of 5 stars Chicken Fun!
A good game all-around. The game starts with footage directly from the movie and segues right into the game. The graphics are excellent; the characters are rendered smoothly and of a quality similar to the motion picture, and the scenery is good and varied as well. The sound...the characters speak in the same British accent, and there is a nice soundtrack on this game that helps set a tone of danger. The character's movement is excellent. Ginger can sidle along a hen, or sprint across an exposed area in search of a tool in a crazy escape scheme. There are a lot of levels to this game to keep you interested, and if you go into a chicken hut you can play a different mini-game of sorts. For kids, it was just a smidgen scary/advanced for a 4 1/2 year old, but I think would be fine for kids 6 and up....I like it myself (age 38) :)

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad Buy!
This is a bad buy. The idea was great but it came out horrible. The graphics ... and the gameplay isn't that fun.

4-0 out of 5 stars a hard game, but very fun
This game was a very hard one for my brother and myself to play. The storyline goes along perfectly with the movie. The graphics are great, but the sound seems a little rushed. This game is a very good game to play, and if you have seen the movie, it makes it better.

5-0 out of 5 stars So much fun
I just got this game and I have played it a couple times. You'd think it wouldn't be very hard being that it's target audience is little kids, but darn it it's hard! This might frustrate little kids. Either that or I'm just [not good at it]. The graphics look cool, and it's fun to watch anyway. ... Read more

this game is fun decause there is two players. it gets boring after a will.

1-0 out of 5 stars Save your $$$
This game would be bad as a first generation playstation game but is very bad as a new game! The graphics are like the first Twisted Metal and control is very bad. Your cars all handle differently from each other but have no precise handling like you expect in the year 2000. Sounds are sub-par, your giant vehicle sounds like a little windup car and it makes a little sqeak when you should be burning a huge patch of rubber! I had not played for very long when I began asking myself "Is this 1994 and why am I playing this game?" There are so many other games of this genre that are so much more fun, with great controls and graphics that this is a total waste of your hard earned tenspot! The only good thing was that my local store allowed me to trade it towards twisted metal 4!

5-0 out of 5 stars fantastic value
this game has everything; it's an all out action game, but it forces the player to think (a little) about the best way to proceed. one or two of the environmental puzzles are actually quite fiendish.

i enjoyed playing this game and would reccomend it to anyone who likes action games (some of the weapons are way-cool) or driving games (the vehicle physics is the best i've ever seen in a psx game).

4-0 out of 5 stars Best game of this genre
I bought this because it was cheap, but after playing it I would recommend it even if it was full price. There's some neat stuff in there and the physics is good. It plays really well and there's a great sense of immersion. The AI is very good and the levels are well designed and good to look at. There is a little slow down especially when you drive into the pools but I think it is technically very impressive for a playstation. Recommended. ... Read more
