mothers best friend
some kids have favorite toys which they can grow out of, get bored with etc.. The fun with this play set is, no matter how young or old your child is, if they like dinosaurs the fun is endless with this playset.. there is so many different varities of dino's to choose from that its hard to choose your favorite, also, the accessories add the imagination of real life dino atmosphere... They can learn about the different species, what they ate, who could fly, swim, who was bigger, faster.. etc... this is an awsome all round toy..

Great review from the child I bought it for!
I purchased this toy for a dinosaur loving little boy who lives in another state. I figured this was a good buy, to get him something different than the usual Wal-mart gift. (Hoping that I wasn't getting him something that he already had.)

He loved it! He loved the volcanoes.......that was way cool for him. And the fact that it could be packed up got rave reviews from the Mom.

If you've got a dinosaur lover, this is a great gift!

This playset is very reilistic and has lots of dinosaurs! It also has a reilistic mat that you can put your dinosaurs on! Set include my favorite dinosaur, T-rex!! Get this for your kiddos! The'll love it! :)

Great Dinosaurs!
My 4 year old son saw this same set at a neighbor's house and he didn't want to put them down! LITERALLY! (We had to carry him home screaming apologizing profusely for his behavior to everyone) Even days after, he wanted to go over and play with them. But the screaming episode afterward kept bugging me and didn't want to go through that again.

So I asked my neighbor where she got them and logged on to Amazon.com to find them. The local Toys R Us were sold out.
For less then $25- it's a great collection.
With so many dinosaurs in various sizes, trees, rocks, volcanos and a playmat in a great carrying case- I couldn't resist to get them.

We took them to the beach just last week and there were 3 other kids ranging in ages of 2 to 5 and we were amazed how quiet they were playing with them. Only problem was getting them back from them when it was time to come home. It was their turn to scream =)

The names of the dinosaurs are underneath them, so if Mom and Dad can't remember which is which, flip them over and with confidence call out the name. Therefore impressing the kids to the end of the earth. "Mom you are so smart" my son once told me. Hey, it felt good!
And soon you and the kids will be able to recognize their names without peeking.

Great gift for all ages and he continues to play with them months later. ahhh peace and quiet.

Fun
This is an exellent toy for all ages. Its educational porpose is about the dogs body parts. It is soft and i think it is very soft. It is a great gift for all ages and almost the very best friend.

The best comfort toy for little ones.
I recently purchased Darby for my first grandchild's 1st Christmas. He would never hug us so we taught him how to hug and love Darby - now we get smothered with hugs!! He sleeps with his Darby and has a big smile for him each morning. I couldn't wait for Christmas to give it to him. I brought the box home and left just his nose poking out! It was wonderful to see my little grandson's eyes light up and watch him tentatively touch Darby's big head. He immediately pulled him out of the box and laid down on him. Darby is so soft and cuddly that he is considered the best of comfort toys for little ones. It was well worth the cost. Thank you Animal Alley!

Can't wait to give it to my Grandson
Wow!!!! I received Darby within three days. Fast shipping, thank you Amazon and Toys R Us. Darby is soooo cute, I opened the box and out came a very huge dog. I can't wait to give it to my Grandson. Darby is so big, soft and cuddly. I hated to put him back in the box. I don't know if we can keep him in there until Christmas. My older kids think Darby is adorable and irresistable that they want my grandson to have it right now. I know it a little expensive for a stuffed animal but it is well worth the money. Darby requires no batteries, won't break and no pieces to loose which is a big plus to me. I am sure my grandson will enjoy him for years to come. I recommend Darby to anyone who wants to have fun, love and hug a big dog. He is so tempting and I soo am glad we got him for our grandson.

My mother got this dog for my son last Christmas when he was one year old and everytime we watch tv at her house, we drag this dog out. When I say we, I mean the entire family - not just my son. It's so soft and squishable that you can smoosh it under you to get just the right amount of height for on-the-floor tv viewing. And his fur feels wonderful for taking naps. I myself have fallen asleep on him numerous times. My son loves to get on top of him and pretend that he's taking a ride somewhere - he just pulls the ears like they're reins. He also loves to drag it around and jump on it sometimes. In a year, it's taken quite a bit of abuse and hasn't needed a repair stitch yet. The great thing about buying this dog is that it's a toy that I know he'll never outgrow. Even when he's a teenager, I'm sure he and his friends will want to use this comfortable dog as a pillow for watching television. The only problem with this dog is of course, storage - this puppy is BIG! At my mother's house, he generally lays on the guest bed until we come over. And sure, he's a little pricey, but he is a very well-put-together and versatile toy, which in my opinion makes it worth the money.

This toy is the best! Worth your money!
My favorite dinosaur is the Tyrannosaurus Rex, so i bought it. The toy is completely reilistic! It has everything you wish for in a R/C toy! It's head is very great and reilistic and it's sounds are too! But be careful. After about 3 or 2 years, i was playing with the toy when suddenly it's ankle snapped in half. My mom can't get it back together again. So be careful about bagnning this toy around like a doll. If you do it's going to breck soon. But if you don't, it lasts for about 3 or 4 years. But since my birthday's coming up in 3 weeks, my mom is going to buy another one! I thank Jesus for this wonderful toy! :)

T-Rex is pretty cool, but winds up in the closet anyway.
I had high expectations for this bad boy, but let me give you the pros and cons:

Pros:

Mobility, coupled with an array of growls, roars and twitches, will keep your attention for a short while. I do give the creators credit for a sincere effort at realism, however...

Cons:

The clawlike arms are not mechanized, and just hang there.
There is a loud clicking sound (gears?) as he moves his head.
Although the legs move, the tail is stiff and non-functional (tags along on non-powered wheels protruding from below).
The big guy has trouble negotiating anything other than smooth, flat surfaces.

Basically, I think the problem with toys such as this, is simply the lack of child interaction. After a short time, the novelty wears off, and junior goes scurrying back to the lego blocks. I also purchased a very well-conceived E.T. figure for my 5-yr. old son (4 at the time). The vocal effects were excellent, but like Mr. T-Rex, he was soon gathering dust in a box in the closet.

Bottom-line: Child interaction is priority #1. A good jigsaw puzzle will beat the heck out of fancy, mechanized toys. Fool me twice - shame on me.

Very poor quality, cheap mechanical parts, VERY disappointed
I orded this toy for my son's main Christmas present. I put the batteries in and tried it out. Half of the functions didn't even work. I returned it for a replacement. (Very easy and convienent return policy!) When I got the 2nd one a few days later, all of the buttons worked, but the gears and mechanics where of HORRIBLE quality and very cheaply put together. The gears would miss and get stuck on some of the funtions and it would just jerk around. The gears are incredibly LOUD! It constantly made a VERY loud high pitched screeching noise as it's head moved around. This toy is a neat idea, but just too cheaply made. After trying out 2 separate dinos, I recomend you pass this one up and find a different toy for your kiddos.

Battery waste
This toy eats batteries. If you leave the dinosaur on, which is relatively easy to do, when you are not using this toy, the batteries run down. Over night! The first one we got of this toy broke within 24 hours and was replaced. The second one got played with a few times and then left in a closet. My son is not too interested in it because every time he takes it out to play with it, the batteries are, inevitably, dead. Not very child friendly.

I bought this for my girlfriends 21st birthday, and she loves it. It's almost as big as she is, and it takes up most of her dorm room bed, but she's happy, so i'm happy.

A Great Gift
My older cousin bought this for her toddler-aged daughter for Christmas and she LOVED it to death!! All day she was dragging it around the house (or at least doing her best) or climbing all over it. It is very durable and great for younger kids who can occasionally "throw" their toys at walls and people, because it is too big for young children to easily pick up. It would be a great gift for girls of any age, even my teenaged cousin thought it was sooo cute!!

For kids of all ages
Got this as a last resort for my 2 1/2 year old neice for Christmas -- she adores it as did her brothers and sisters ages 6 - 12. Just for smiles alone, this is a winner. And, I have to admit snuggling with it a bit myself before the wrapping!

Sweet
I got this for Christmas, only it was brown instead of pink. My parents are always asking if the can lay on it. It's extremely soft and it's so comfy! I lay on it whenever I'm playing video games. Uncle Milton's Giant Ant Farm is a fun, interactive way to teach children ages 5 and up about unceasing, backbreaking toil and the cold, inescapable reality of death. Extremely Interesting
Really neat to see ants run through tunnels, have meetings, and dig. They can really work hard! Very durable, but carefull not to scratch it. All in all, a fun pet.

You guys are creeping me out - especially the angst or guilt ridden one who feels that ant farms teach children the futility of life in general. My god!! I can only hope that you did this tongue in cheek, otherwise - I feel sorry for your kids and I think you need to take some Prozac!! Great concept, mediocre implementation
The Ant Farm is a wonderful educational toy, but the quality is disappointing as other reviewers have said. The plastic has rough, unattractive edges from manufacture, and the bottom is not perfectly flat, so it can wobble a little bit. Mommy of 3 year old
I bought this almost a year ago for my daughter's third birthday. She loves to put her 'Hanna' down for her nap. (Her two year old brother does too.) It is not the kind of toy that entertains for more than a few minutes at a time, but it gets regular use. It is very cute. A little fragile, but as long as they are not standing in it, it should be fine. We have not had any trouble. She loves using the little pillow and blanket. A nice addition to a little girls room and bed time routine.

OK for the price
This is a very functional toy for a child to have in their collection. Though it does not provide hours of entertainment, this toy has become a part of my daughter's daily ritual. She gets her doll in the morning, puts it down for nap, etc. I am overjoyed to see my daughter play with a toy that does not need batteries, only imagination.

I was happy to see that the cradle came with a liner- so many of the more expensive cradles have accessories that must be purchased separately.

It is the not the sturdiest toy, as it is maily cardboard, but if you child is not too rough, it should be OK.

mom of 2yr old "little mommy"
i purchased this cradle and returned it a few days after. the box said "wicker" and the "wicker" was made of paper. the bottom of the cradle is cardboard. i thought about spraypainting it with an enamal paint for durability (because it is so cute) but decided to keep looking for a pretty, heirloom quality, toddler proof doll bed. such a shame, because this cradle is very pretty to look at, but kids under five can be so rough with toys without trying to be.

GREAT PRODUCT!
This is a great product - my chess players DS(9); DD(13); and DH(40) are thrilled with it! We started with a real cheapie set and "graduated" to this one . . . for [this price] you cannot go wrong! Believe me . . . you get waaaaaaay more than you pay for!

Not bad
Twenty bucks for a wooden folding chess board and chessmen is not a bad deal. However, the old adage "you get what you paid for" holds true here. Craftsman quality is missing in this product. The folding chess board has a magnetic strip to keep it folded. However, the chess board when unfolded for play is a bit lopsided. The wooden chessmen are standard Staunton pieces. However, they're not crafted quality pieces but are adequate enough for play. If you wanted a similar product but of higher quality then be prepared to fork over an additional $30-40 if not more. However, if you wanted a traveling chess set but don't want to pay alot of $$$ for one and don't mind the inferior quality found in this set then this is good buy.

Best Chess Set for a Great Price
Although I would have loved to have gotten my fiancee a more articulate chess set, this gem really fit my budget. When he opened it on Xmas day, he was blown away. He really enjoyed it, especially the size. The set comes with a fairly large chessboard and the pieces are nicely sized as well.

He has enjoyed many a chess game with me and our best friends. With all the use so far it has remained in excellent condition. The magnetic closure helps to secure the pieces in the inside of the fold up board. Thus, your floor will not be littered with pieces when you pick the board up.

inexpensive chess set
Should sell for less half the cost , if that. Chess pieces were not carved by any craftsman,very flimsy board . Hope it lasts a year. typical chinese craftsmanship. Throw it away and buy a new one tomorow.

Pavilion Chess & Checker Cabinet
This is not a "toy". This is a beautiful chess/checker board, polished and varnished oak wood. The board folds, with magnetic inserts to hold the pieces and keep it closed. The chess pieces are solid machined wood, not intricately carved, with felt on the bottoms, and certainly nicer than plastic pieces. I recognized this set when I saw the display picture; it was on a table in a millionaire's home that we were visiting last month. Now I have the same set he has. Well I'm 11 and I bought this toy. I love it and im not a baby. All of my friends love stuffed animals. I think if you sold big stuffed spongebobs they would go fast. I think the prices are rather high on your stuffed animals though.

A must for kids
I ordered this tool box for my 6 year old son. Everyday he uses it to create something wonderful. The tools are real and fit perfectly into little hands. This is the BEST toy he has ever had.

Wrong age group!
... Someone said that the tools are decent quality - not what I found to be true at all. You could put together the same set with about the same quality for ten dollars (box included) at a well known discount tool house. It does seem like a "cute" idea when you first see it. I have been in carpentry/construction for 30 years. If you know how to properly use tools, teach your child with your own and when responsibility and SAFETY are learned by the child and he/she shows an interest, begin buying a tool for the child now and then. Spend the extra money for high quality tools and you will both be happier.

Grandpa and Grandson just love it
We purchased this product for our grandson's 7th birthday.
He has always been a hands on child, wanting to build and create
various things. When children are taught to respect and use tools such as those in this kit, it only makes for a more enjoyable experience. These are certainly tools that you do not just turn the child loose with, but they are tools that are just their size. When taught how and when they should be used, only makes the experience of learning how to create something more enjoyable. I highly recommend this product for children, who have an adult willing to show them how these tools work, because it does take the efforts of an adult to insure that the child learns how and when to use these tools.

Very educated Toy for a child
My daughter is just about 6yrs old, we go to the every sat morning workshops at home depot. She loves to work with tools with her daddy. Oh course they are real and not imaginary toys, so parent supervision is pretty obvious. However, it just amazing how my daughter at this age makes and build things, even if looks kind of odd, i guess say its just her imagination. Also, she loves home depot since her and daddy loves Tony Stewart :), But i recomend this to any child at level of parents thoughts on if my child is old enough for this........ Thanks

Great Toy
We can play this game with the entire extended family-

Our nephew who is as young as 7 can play this game and it is great for mental stratagies.

A classic MUST!
This is a must have for all classic game lovers. With 3 of our 4 children visually disabled, it was quite easy for them to see the dots (easy for the older parents too!). The youngest children were not frustrated because they could match up the dominoes by color, and eventually learned the patterns and counting as well. They are very durable and come inside a tin that has a snug-fitting lid to prevent spills. Detailed instructions are included for many versions of play. This is a perfect game for Family Game night as the games are short enough to complete before younger players get frustrated.

Fun with your neighbors and friends
We purchased the 15 color dominoe set and we loved it! We have German neighbors and we taught them how to play dominoes and
"chicken claw" (a fun dominoe game). The dominoes are so durable and colorful that even the kids were able to play with the adults. They are easy to clean (if necessary) and store nicely in their tin box. Great product!

Li'l Hunk O' Junk
I was very dissapointed with this register. The scanner worked intermitently. The belt never worked, the pieces of it kept falling off and going under the black belt and we would have to take the whole thing apart to retrieve it and put it back on.
I would not recommend this, it is frustrating. The Barbie register is better.

cheap!
This toy was fun when it worked for about two weeks. First the scanner stopped working. Then it beeped when the cash register wasn't even on. Then the machine stopped working all together . It looks like a fun and inexpensive toy, but don't waste your money. It won't last long. Put a few extra dollars in and buy a cash register that might last.

Be leery of this product if you want all the items to work
This is actually the first review I've ever written but wanted to warn other parents that if you are expecting a quality product that will "work" for any length of time to invest your money in something else. There are two scanners and the cash register itself that works like a calculator that need the AA batteries to work. The cash register will open and close and you can turn a dial on the scanner without the batteries. If that is enough for your little one, this might be a decent product. I received a replacement product as the first one only worked for a few minutes (I thought it just needed new batteries but this wasn't the case). With the replacement product, the hand scanner only works part of the time and the little belt on the other scanner was already tore on one side when we received it. The cash register itself also had dirt spots and needed to be cleaned though I took it right from the wrapping. I'm wondering just how roughly these products were handled. My son's favorite part of the toy are the eight plastic coins and the little credit card:) Hope this helps!

You get what you pay for!
This toy is SO flimsy! I thought it might be a problem when it only cost ten bucks but I had hope that maybe I would be pleasantly suprised. Nope! The cash drawer worked exactly ONCE and now does not open, for no discernible reason. The conveyor belt is nearly impossible to move and I read in another review that the microphone is supposed to do something? Ours never has!

I would much rather pay twice as much for something that wasn't going to break if my kid breathes on it too hard!

Save your money!

More fun than you think...
Our friends brought this set of dominoes to our house for after dinner gaming, and although my husband and I were skeptical at first, we quickly became obsessed with this game! Playing dominoes is more complicated and competitive than simply matching numbers -- this set comes with instructions for several multi-player games as well as solitary games. The dominoes themselves are high quality -- they are made of heavy white plastic, but feel more like ivory, and the colors are bright and distictive. We have since bought these dominoes as gifts for almost everyone we have played with.

What a fun new twist to a classic game!
We took this set on vacation and aside from playing regular dominoes we also played one of the new games that was suggested in the box. What a blast!

My sister in law also mentioned that my 2 year old nephew also loves playing with these dominoes with her or on his own. He likes to match the colors and is learning to quickly count or identify the dot patterns and their numerical equivalent.

I recommend this game for families or for adults who enjoy getting together to play games.

Wonderful Way to spend an Evening
I played my first game of dominos with this set, and I had a blast! The "train" game is very easy to follow. It's a great way to spend some time with a few friends who aren't into trivia games.

Dominos are a blast
My roommate and I got hooked playing "train" dominoes, and this is the best set. The dominos are very glossy, colorful and very sturdy, and the set comes with a center piece to keep the starter domino from moving and the domino train in line. I definitely recommend this set.

Sturdy ride for privileged dolls
My daughter rec'd this pram from her grandmother for Christmasalong with a Small Wonder Play Baby (blonde girl).We couldn't use it much with the winter weather, but come spring she wanted to "take baby for a walk."Mommy pushed our real baby, and my daughter had hers right alongside.I think the doll had the better ride!The pram is very sturdy with oversized wheels and great suspension, allowing young children to guide it with ease.Our daughter has not limited outdoor strolls to the sidewalk but rather likes to drive her baby around the yard.She has no problem negotiating bumpy terrain with this pram.There is also enough room in the baby basket for her to take a baby blanket and snacks to set up a small picnic.The only negative comment I have about it is that the set up instructions were not very clear on how to securely attach the basket to the base.It took me several attempts to attach it properly, and I have extensive experience with assembly of child paraphernalia.Nevertheless, it has been great fun ever since.Other doll strollers I've seen in the neighborhood cannot compare.This is a must if your child wants to take baby for a walk outside.

looked great, but didn't last a year with my 3 year old.spend your money on a stroller not a pram that comes apart.do your homework and save yourself a headache.

Fun and reasonable
We love this pram. My 6 & 7 yr. old daughter's love this product. The only drawback is that since the wheels are stationery, it is a little difficult to turn corners. Also, the red covering over the handle is moveable and sometimes slips to the side, so that could become a little annoying. But overall, I think it is a good and definitely, fun product! Here's a realistic toy chainsaw, made of sturdy orange plasticwith a black handle and a blue knuckle guard. The "blade" is made ofsilver-colored plastic and has a kid-safe plastic chain. The chainsawhas three blue buttons. One press-type button makes an engine-y sort ofnoise that is truly loud and could be very satisfying for the would-belogger. Luckily it stops on its own after about five seconds. So doesthe trigger-type button on the handle that makes the chain on the blademove while making more saw-like sounds. My son loves the toy, however it appears that the toy is too loud for indoor play, I would recommend that this toy be played outdoors.

My four year old son loves his Home Depot Chainsaw. He loves to go to Home Depot with dad, so he was very happy to get the Home Depot Chainsaw for Christmas. It sounds real, and he usually ends up fighting over it with my Two year old daughter.

I purchased this toy for my girl friends sons birthday. Since then I haven't seen him but, I can HEAR HIM!! He took to this toy like a duck to water, sawing everything in sight. Never mind that a twister is on the rampage, a volcano is exploding, a hurricane is looming, nope, so long as he has his trusty Homedepot Chain Saw, the world will be safe!

So, what I'm getting at here is, he LOVES this toy!!! So much for the telletubbies in his bed, he now has a NEW sleepy mate that kicks some serious booty. Oh, and one more thing worth mentioning, the saw DOES have an On-Off switch located on the bottom of it so, when YOU need some REST from all the sawing, you can flip the switch and but the saw to sleep.

Trust me here, if you have a son that is even REMOTELY interested in power tools(and what boy ain't) then this toy is the right choice and the right price.

Chainsaw fun for the whole family!
This was a Christmas present that never made it under the tree because my son discovered it and he wouldn't part with it long enough for me to wrap it. He totes it around all over the place. I have to admit, I had a little trouble with giving him a chainsaw. He thinks it's funny to crank 'er up and pretend to saw on daddy's arms and legs (in part because daddy screams and flails about as if he were losing his appendanges, much to the chagrin of mommy) but didn't all well-adjusted, productive members of society have childhoods filled with pretend carnage? Lots of fun for little money!
(...). I bought this toy on a whim when my son was about two, he loved it. Six months later, and he still loves it. He's played w/ it almost every day since. It comes w/ lots of pretend food to "cook" and "eat", as well as a place setting. There are 4 real timer buttons, each w/ different times that accurately elapse on the liquid crystal display. One button is for a bacon setting, one for soup, and one for popcorn. The fourth button is just a general timer. After pressing one of the four timer buttons, the start button needs to be pressed for the microwave to start "cooking". When start is pressed, your child will hear a woman's voice stating the item on the timer button they pressed. A small white light inside the unit illuminates, and the turntable rotates. As the last 5 seconds elapses, you will hear beeping; a small red light inside turns on, then off; the turntable stops; and the voice says "careful, it might be hot", or "bacon's ready," etc.... (...) As far as durability goes, the oven was dropped once from about 3-4 feet onto a hard floor- the door came off, but it easily snapped back on with no evidence of permanent damage.

This is a great toy to add to your kitchen/play house toys. My kids really like it and its quite realistic.

Hours of fun!
My son got this 2 years ago (his was pink) and it lasted until just yesterday. Nothing broke off it simply stopped working. I have purchased this toy for 3 other children and they all played with it for hours. It'a a great toy for a boy if you aren't into the large kitchen and you can't beat it for [the]$!

Microwave Oven
I bought this for a birthday gift for aboy. It is absolutely a huge, huge hit!

He's only had it for a couple of weeks so as for the durability only time will tell. For $10.00, I'm sure I'd go buy him another one.

Lifesize Yorkie Playmate
I bought this doll as a companion for my own Yorkshire Terrier, Buffy, when she was a puppy. Buffy has LOVED this little doll, she still sleeps with it and carries it with her. Four months later the doll has not lost anything but it's bow. I can wash it when it gets dirty and yes, the hair needs brushing occasionally but anyone who ever had a puppy knows how hard it is to find toys that last through teething. I recommend it for children and dogs alike.

This toy is so close to the real thing. I have a Yorkie (Jack) and this toy puppy could be his cousin. The makers did a great job with this one. The one I bought is a present but I know it's going to be tough giving him away. It's love at first sight.
