3-0 out of 5 stars I guess we're lucky
Our Let's Pretend Elmo seems to work fine. I was able to get it to do all of the different things that Elmo pretends as soon as I opened it on Christmas for my 2 year old daughter. I did need to have the instructions close by to make sure I was positioning him correctly. And you do need to be exact, or he'll be a monster when you want him to be an airplane, for example. My biggest problem is that it bores my daughter. She loves Sesame Street and Elmo, but this toy doesn't hold her attention for very long at all. She doesn't seem impressed that it talks and moves. Oh well, it wouldn't be the first [money] I've wasted on a toy that my kids don't play with.

pretty good toy.
over all this is a good toy. I only had one problem. the arms and legs can be difficult to move at times.

Elmo's stuck
We really enjoyed him, but at times he is stuck in the same mode. or just repeats ELMO LOVES TO PRETEND, until your frustrated and give up. My daughter loved him when she was little she is 2 now, and not to interested in this Elmo anymore.

Great Toy
My oldest son received this Elmo when he was 1yr. - he is now 3.5 yrs.and he and his 9 mos. older brother play with it together. It does take some practice to get the doll in the proper position and if you repeatedly press his hand he can get stuck on a phrase, but we just give him a "rest" if that happens. The baby just cracks up at Elmo and loves to try to chew on his eyes and my older boy can now position Elmo without any help. Elmo has also held up well - we have (the adults) have walked on him, my son used to throw him (trying to help him fly), and he has had other assorted accidents - but has really held up well, and we haven't even had to change the batteries too often. This is a great toy!

Lots of laughs
My daughter loves him and he always attracts attention because he is so funny. My daughter does not play with him all the time, but she has fun with him when she does. Sometimes it takes an adjustment to get him to pretned but it really isn't a problem.
He pretends to be a race car driver, a cowboy, a puppy, a baby, a monster, a policeman, and a monkey. His clothing is not removable. His shoes are hard plastic and he is not very cuddly. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Creative Play from Lincoln Logs
The play pieces seem very durable and the kit is easy to put together. Several different layouts are pictured on the package, encouraging children to try out different configurations. It is wonderful that this toy can work with other building sets. Cowboys, an engineer and horses are included with the playset so that creative minds can act out different scenerios as they play with the Prairie Express. This is one of those toys that can keep a child occupied all afternoon.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Train... and more!!
Great Toy!! We have the Lincoln Logs figure 8 train, also. My boys (3 and 7) both wanted more! They play with it often, love the horses, and the fact that other buildings that can be done with it. It is more than just a train! Now if only they would sell separate train track so that we can connect and expand the train layout! Anyway, the Prarie Express is great and would recommend it to anyone with young children! The parts are very sturdy and it allows for sharing and cooperative play.

5-0 out of 5 stars Just like when I was a kid, only better
This toy combines the old time fun of building with Lincoln Logs, with the excitement of an easy to put together train set. It's durable, easy to set up and put away, and will give you countless hours of building and playing. My 4 year old LOVES this. Adding on additional building sets will allow you endless building opportunities to create complicated designs. ... Read more

Whether you think that a certain popular cartoon canine isadorable or annoying will likely define your receptiveness to theScooby-Doo! Where Are You? electronic game, a rather arbitrary tie-into the Cartoon Network show. Although rules for five games areprovided, they all center around hiding a plastic rendering of theScoob (powered by two AA batteries, not included) that emits a seriesof phrases ("Scooby-Dooby-Dooby-Doo, HeeeeHeeeHee" among them) every20 seconds or so. Other players then attempt to find him to winor, in another variation, gain a chip to place on a tic-tac-toe board. The 20-second time intervals are a tad problematic: it's long enough tomake for a challenging hunt in an apartment, but probably too lengthyfor the targeted 3-year-old's attention span. And here at the SPCA(Society of Plaything Critics at Amazon.com), we found a little touchof Scooby-Don't in the instructions: we waited and waited for the unitto activate when we flipped the switch. Nowhere does it say to presshis dog tag first. Scooby-Dooby-Doh! --Tony Mason ... Read more

Very Fun
My girls, ages 2 and 5 both love this game. It is alot of fun. I have them hide in the bathroom while I hide Scooby. Then they come out and find him. It is educational in the sense that they have to listen for Scooby's voice as he talks to find him. My 5 year old also likes to hide Scooby.

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun, I guess
I'm in love with Scooby- Doo, but this game would not be for anyone over 11. It gives the basics of hide-and-go-seek, but in a "Scoobyish" kinda way. overall, I thought the toy was cute, but didn't have fun playing with it.b/c i'm 13, and i kinda got over the hide-and-go-seek thing. ... Read more

This delightful bathtime toy transforms a tub of water into a magical pond where happy babiessplash and swim. A turn of the flower-knob in her back, and Lori Water Lily is ready to kick and swim, while her squirt-ducky friend floats nearby. Lori sits peeking out from the big yellow petals of her fabricflower (orange and white inside), clad in orange bathing suit, removable fabric swim cap, and plasticgoggles. She has a vinyl head and waterproof nylon fabric body, with soft-stuffed arms, rigid legs, and hardtorso. Turn her knob, give it a pull, and put her in the water to see her swim. Or, let her float serenely onher inflatable, transparent green lily pad while her mommy gets her bath. And when it's time for Lori'sshower, the shower (with flower outlet) attaches easily to the lily pad, and operates easily, too, with asqueeze of the rubber bulb pump. Lori's lily-flower home has suction pads, so she can live close by thewater, always ready for bathtime play. A patch kit is included for the vinyl lily pad. --Ava Natov ... Read more

Not Highly Recommended
I bought this for my daughter, Lori, because of the doll's name. It is a cute item initially, but the "swimming" mechanism doesn't work as expected. It is a good sized doll and for a mere five dineros, it wasn't a bad deal. We have a hanging basket in the bathroom for the water toys, so it was able to drip dry, and my state isn't too humid, so we didn't experience the mold that another review spoke of. My daughter got this for Christmas and the set was donated to Good Will less than 5 months later. The best part is the shower, which was only fun when Mom operated it--since it was too difiicult for little ones.

Decent for the price
This was bought for my then 4 and 5 year old, they enjoyed it the first couple times after that it was just another toy sitting around not getting used. This product is fairly large and hard to find a place to store once bathtime is over. We couldn't store in the bathtub because of size and mold on the lily portion. Must dry this product after each use to avoid the mold. The kids did like the fact that baby comes out and can be played with outside of the tub. ... Read more

Card Game Bonanza!
Wow, I'm really intrigued by My first Skip-Bo! Not only am I 39 and still living in Gramma's basement, but this is undoubtedly the coolest and most neat-o game consisting of cards and wicked paper cuts. Between this and working on my GED (which is way two hard too do anyways), this is much more funner and usually more time consuming. Since there's pretty pictures printed on each card, my wife Mavis and I have a hoot licking each one and sticking them to ourselves, making us look like a illustrious collage of road garbage and cartoon fish. Well it's time to take the T-tops off the T-bird and go to my local vendor where card games and such articles like this are sold to pick up a few beverages and another copy of this game because my mentally ill mule ate the last set in a catastrophic rage (due to the fact that I wouldn't let him drive the tractor trailer yesterday.) Kudos to Mattel for making such a fantabuously addictive and arduously tough game to put down!

Card Time
With the bright colors. This card game can keep you children entertained for hours on a rainy day.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great 1st Card Game
My daughter, who will be 4 in 2 weeks, loves this game! Only took a couple of times before she really got it. She loves the wild cards. I take the box in my purse when we go to doctor appts. or the airport to keep her from being bored. We love playing it as a family too. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Useful, but amazon charges a bit much.
I use these for my ps2/xbox games as well as my dvd collections. They keep my games free of scratches, and they take up a lot less space than the dvd cases would. They're also pretty handy for carting your games/movies around since if you have multiple ones you can just fill one with the discs you'll need and take it with you. The clip on strap is a bit of an enigma, but I put my straps through the hanger rod in my closet and just unclip binders when I need them. I currently have 7, but I'm buying 3 more from amazon right now. Other places have them dramatically cheaper ... Inflated amazon.com price is all that keeps this from a 5 star rating.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for Long Term Storage!
Each DiscKeeper holds 12 cd booklets and jewel case inserts along with their game. Alhtough not groundbreaking, the games being held on the backside of the booklet holders logically seem to have the benefit of reducing scratching while pulling them in and out of the hidden sleeves. I only reccomended these for long term home storage unless you don't mind the fact that other cd holders smaller than this hold 24+ cd's.

The Good:
*Innovative use of standard storage cases where cd's are tucked in a safe sleeve built into the backside of each booklet holding page.
*Makes storing and organizing games easier and reduces the likelihood of scratches in cases where both the booklet and cd are kept in the same sleeve.
*Each one holds 3 standard memory cards in hard foam in the front. (careful they can fall out a little easy though)
*Net in back for storing miscelaneous small items.(like cheat codes, other booklets, more memory cards, etc.)
*Come with a clip on/off strap for maybe attaching to??? (maybe you have a reason, they must of)
*Unlike the ones being handed out at gaming shows, they front symbol is sowed on not stuck on with cheap glue so they won't fall off so easily (and look so tacky and cheap)

The Bad:
* Not a convenient way to bring your games with you, so you would want to transfer them to a different case whenever you traveled outside your room/living room.
* The five I own which hold a total of 60 games is not a small nor attractive addition to my living room. I keep them out of view just for storing games I rarely play.
* Poor design: By increasing the height minimally thus allowing 2 booklet and game holders per page would have allowed 24 cd's stored using the same innovative storage in a much more efficient amount of space. (I would have only 2 instead of 5 and still have 12 empty pages.)

Summary: If you are looking for storage that will actually protect your disks and don't mind swapping to other holders when traveling these are actually a nice way to store your games at home.

5-0 out of 5 stars What more do you need to know?
I don't know why you're even reading this review. This product as good as any other. CD cases are pretty much all alike: this one holds my CDs without scratching them, and keeps them organized. That's it. It accomplishes its job admirably, and for that I bestow upon it the coveted 5-star rating. Now go forth, my friend, and revel in the fact that you can now worry about other things.

4-0 out of 5 stars I have to get one of these
Ok. I just HAVE to get one of these. I got games that have no case and they are being scratched up BADLY. Including my favorite, Suikoden. I don't have many games so if they don't work, I might start to feel like a big, brown, cup full of (I'll leave this word out for now). :) ... Read more

Editorial Review

The tale of the vampire Count Dracula is one of filmdom's mostenduring, one whose roots stretch back to the silent film era andNosferatu, the dark, frightening 1922 vision of German directorF.W. Murnau. This collectible action figure set features the clawed, shocking visage of actor Max Shreck, who's arguably more horrific andmonstrous than any of the tuxedoed ghouls (Lugosi, et al.) who followedin his wake. With intricate detailing and handpainted features, thisfigure set recreates the monochromatic look of the original film (acolorized version of the figure is also available) and includes adisplay base festooned with plague rats. The diorama can be linked withKnock Renfield's (available separately) to form one huge, horrifyingscene. Also includes a film cell collector's card. --MatthewMason ... Read more

The Nosferatu vampire from the classic silent horror film
The title character from the classic German silent horror film "Nosferatu" remains my favorite of all the weird little figures perched on my window sill. I had a choice between the Black and White and the Color version of Graf Orlok (The Undead) and I immediately chose the former, which obviously looks more like the memorable figure we saw in the movie. There is no real attempt here to look like Max Schrenk's character, but the head and hands manage to capture the most distinctive features of Graf Orlok while making them more realistic than what we saw in the expressionistic film. Both arms are jointed at the shoulders and the elbows, which allows some discretion in how they are posed (I am currently going with left arm out and up, right arm down and out). You have two choices for where the figures feet can be placed on the base, and there are extra plastic rats that you can use to blend it with the other four dozen distinct rats on the base and cover up the feet spaces you are not using. I even like the detailed texture that is provided to Graf Orlok's coat. The Silent Screamers series of silent movie monsters is one of the best out that and Graf Orlok is the best of the lot. Note: If you pick up the Renfield figure you can put it together with this one to create a larger scene; the same thing can be done with the Dr. Caligari and Cesare the Sleepwalker figures. So where is Series 2?

5-0 out of 5 stars Creepy Figure
Definitely part of my collection because it is both freaky and unique. I have yet to find another toy quite like this one in which it's hideousness is actually the best thing about it! So there is nothing you can learn from it. Big deal. It looks great.

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW!
I have always liked scary movies and when I saw Nosferatu I could not believe what a great film it was.I imediatly began to search toy shelves for an action figure but to no avail. Then a year later I was walkingin [a store] and saw it.After I baught it I was amazed to see how detailed he was right down to the blood on his fingernails. When taken under hot sunlight his skin changes from gray to deep purple.I would highly recomend you buy it.There is a colorized version but I wouldn't bother his skin tone makes him look like he belongs on baywatch.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great figure and just an excellent figure
The detail on Orlok is WONDERFUL. Not a bunch of articulation, but some a wonderful looking figure. Perfect little gothy lurking vampire. Looks so much like the original Nosferatu that is like watching a mini movie actor.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Undead Walk Again
If you have ever seen the Black and White silent movie version of "Nosferatu" you will have immense amount of appreciation for this toy.

Figured after Max Schreck the actor who played the Nosferatu in the silent movie. It is wonderfully detailed and has the added feature of a base of icky scary rats.

Definitely for scary movie buffs but not for the weak of heart. It really is SCARY! ... Read more
