Dance Dance Revolution
What DDR Is
DDR is a very active video game. You do not sit around with a controller tapping buttons with your fingers, however, you stand up, jumping like crazy and steping on arrows with your feet. It is very entertaining, and good exersise too. You need a special dance mat to play correctly. Once you pick a song you wish to play, moving arrows come up on your screen. Once the arrow corrosponds with the stationary arrow, you simply step on the same directional arrow on the dance mat. That is basicly what you do in DDR to complete songs. Completing songs will unlock new songs for you to play and master.

My Opinions and Advise
I've played DDR, DDR Konamix, DDRMAX, DDRMAX2, and in arcades, DDR Extreme. In my opinion, I think DDRMAX is the best out of all of them. Its improved since konamix. It's got a great song selection, and even quite a few american songs. Anybody who is wondering which DDR to buy, you should definatly go with DDRMAX. DDRMAX2, however, was a little disappointing to me. It does not have a very great song selection (unless you like the 80's), and was not a big step from DDRMAX, (they're very similair).

5-0 out of 5 stars The Max RULEZ
This game is a great gift for kids, it is excersise, fun, and more fun. There are a few different modes like the work-out mode which lets you do unlimited songs and tells you how many calories you lose and stuff, game mode: unlock songs, people, and levels. There is an edit mode to create your own dance steps! There are many other modes but I can't talk about them because I'll ramble on about how fun they are. I consider DDR one of the best games on the face of this Earth. If your a parent I would get this for your son or daughter. If you are a child I would beg your parents for it until they want to strangle you then I would suggest running away before it actually happens! If your a newbie I would stay away from MaxUNLIMTED because like you gotta be a saint to do it perfectly on Expert or even Light (Easy). Another hard song is End of the century, it is no where near as hard as maxUNLIMITED though. You'll probably be able to End of the century within a week or so of getting it. I want you to be a DDR FREAK too. (I'm so big on it I lose over 1,000 calories per day on it!) Anyway I am rambling on like I tried not to do so I'm gonna shut up and let you buy this awesomely awesome game (Remind me not to say awesomely awesome again) so buy it now. You're still reading this aren't you...... GO BUY IT NOW (LoL Just kidding) But I would buy it. Hey wait why are you still reading this? GAAAAHHHHHH

5-0 out of 5 stars DDR makes you bootilicious !
DDRMax2 is the hot new way to exercise. Because it's so much fun!
First a simple overview. DDRMax2:Dance,Dance Revolution is a Playstation game where music is played on your TV screen. Arrows move across the screen. The player dances on a dance pad and attempts to move their feet to match the direction of the arrows. The better you do the more points you rack up. Sounds simple but it can be tough depending on the difficulty level you choose.
While the music is playing (and there are a number of songs to select from or let the game select for you) the background will change. Sometimes there will be videos, othertimes characters that you can select to dance with.
So each time you "play" the game looks different and you will have the challenge of trying to improve your ability level.
I purchased the game for the workout and am delighted to find that it's so much fun I could (and do) spend hours on it!
The game has the added bonus of a "Workout Mode" so you can track your calories, weight and progress.
You will need a dance pad to play the game. I bought two dance pads so my daughters could take turns working out with me or each other. Well worth the investment. I would advise buying good pads with good padding so it's easier on your joints as you will be doing a lot of moving around.
A+++++ for this great game that gets both kids and adults moving and grooving and having a GREAT time!

5-0 out of 5 stars It Rocks!!
I gotta say this is the most fun I've ever had exercising and that's exactly the reason I bought it. I like music and I like to dance and I'm losing weight in the process. I would highly recommend it to anyone for simply that, but also just for the fun of it. I'm 44 with 2 teenage kids and if I can do it, anyone can do it! I also need to say that you should get a really good Redoctane pad to go with it. It is $80, but well worth it. So go out and buy this and have fun!!

5-0 out of 5 stars GET ON THE DANCE FLOOR!!!!!! AGAIN

5-0 out of 5 stars an actual buyer...
So far all of the reviewers (good and bad reviews) have been solely out of knowledge pre actually buying the game. However i bought the game and I think it is much better than the first one... I love that now there are a lot more characters (including one in what looks like a whinnie the pooh suit, which has to be unlocked) and more game choices. For example they have medley mode (probably the best new addition) where you can pick 5 songs or do it randomly (which is much more fun). What happens is it plays minute long snipits of the songs to sing, making it easier to do bunches of songs in smaller time. In random you dont know whats coming so u just go with it.
Overall i love this game and the new songs (toxic, I believe in a thing called love, etc.) are great!!

4-0 out of 5 stars OMG! THIS IS AWESOME!
I'm just going to flatout say it... EVERYONE SHOULD BUY THIS GAME! Everything about it great! The songs, the characters, ect. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I dont know some of the older songs like Heartbreak Hotel and Jesse's Girl. I really wish they would put Everytime or A Thousand Miles on it... but overall ... I LOVE IT! I recommend it to everybody who likes singing or music. Even if your shy in front of a crowd, like me, it helps boost your cofedience. I CAN'T WAIT TILL THEY MAKE KARAOKE REVOLUTION 3! AND... all the reviews have been saying how bad the headset is... but I think it's a lot better... cuz you can dance around when you sing and you can hear yourself too! (through the earpiece) Well, hope this is helpful!

I don't have it but I played it my friends house and wish I did.

This fame has so much more charaters and outfits! This is the best game ever!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars What does a 40 Year Old Female Think?
I'm not sure anymore what Generation Y or whatever another reviewer was talking about means anymore...but I can talk about the game as someone who was born in the end of 1963 and hasn't been paying attention to popular music for the past 5 years or so...

I got this game on day one, and I didn't know about half the songs...and I still love it! There are songs I remember from when I was a kid; those are fun to sing! Then there are songs I only heard bits of when seeing TV commericals for the local Top-40 radion station -- "Hit me baby one more time" as an example. No problem! I listened to the song on training mode, then played it on the very forgiving "Easy" level. What Fun! An hour later I had a Platinum Record on Expert Level! This game teaches you how to sing and there is huge variety. Version 2 has lots of gameplay improvements too!

Pick up the hand held mic (ABSOLUTELY!), and version 1 without the mic as well, and you've got a sure fire hit for any age group gathering. If you are shy about singing in public, buy it for yourself and play alone. In a few weeks you'll look for an excuse to sing with others. Really.

This game would have been worth it at double the price! (Version 1 as well!) And no, I don't work for Konami or anyone else in the industry, but I'd certainly consider it with games like this!

4-0 out of 5 stars PLAYED THE GAME
Cool game, but I must say the first volume was a lot closer the real versions of the songs. I like the song selection and the new venues crack me up - especially the jumping headlights in the garage! I love Karaoke Revolution!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Truth about this game!
Sly 2: Band of Thieves is a great game! I gave it 5 stars! Now onto the good stuff...<br /> <br /> Ages: I would not recomemend this game for anyone under the age of 13 or a very experienced gamer! It is not because of violence but because of difficulty level. The missions are pretty straight forward but some a very difficult and hard for a not so good gamer to complete.<br /> <br /> Graphics: This game has made a step forward in graphics. It uses the cell shaded graphics and it almost makes you think you are watching a cartoon<br /> <br /> Would i get this: YES YES YES! This is a perfect game for an X-mas present! but i recomemend buying this game early it may get sold out!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game, actually played and own
It is too bad that people pollute these sites for no apparent reason. As a parent this is a game that we have had a great time with and can fully recommend. It is really a unique and interesting game, we have been playing the game as family and have nothing but high praise. Some aspects of the game we are really enjoying is the open game play, you can literally interact with anything within the game that you can reach, that includes buildings, poles, wires, you can stay on the rooftops and jump from building to building or you stay on the ground and use stealth. There is also a whole economy system where you can pickpocket items and coins off guards and use this to buy more thiefy moves and power ups. You can also play as all three characters and get to do "heists" where you must use each character in a conjunction with each other in order to be successful, sort of in the same vein of a Hollywood movie.

It is the highest rated non sports non racing E game that has come out in the past 8 months. If you go to you can see a long list of editorial on this product.

BTW - The game released in mid September any post before that is bogus good or bad.

1-0 out of 5 stars A great game in itself, indubibuily great
Hello views, there isn't anything quite like a annoying long review based on no factional information. In fact this game is so undubidibily pathetic that i threw my computer at the wall in an effort to end the stupidity... anyways i think that this game reconstituties the word habablibub. You know what i really hate... people who write stuff really long in an effort to... and you know what else i hate... people who just randomly end their... so then i said "that ain't a potato, its a habablibub..." some people say i have ADD but what does that really mean... i think that... so anyway this game exemplifies the meaning of life in general... it sucks... well dont'agree that this was an execellent review. So anyways... there was this one time where i was walking to school and... i never got far in this game... i have a short attention span... so then i said to the guy... " that habablibub looks giant and roncious. watever that means." i hope u enjoyed this review. My real name is O' Lama and i am a crazed maniac bent on wasting the time of America and deriding the social security system. I have a confesstion. I am not really O'Lama... i have never said "that ain't a potatoe, that's a habablibub." i live under a bridge in Nicaragua. I entered the country illegally and i smell like coffee grounds. And finally... i have never played this game, seen this game, and until a few minutes ago, i didn't know i couldn't smoke cocaine legally. So in conclusion i believe there is a hero in all of us. Believe in yourself and send me hundreds of thousands of useless e-mails, viruses, and general spam please. Good luck and i believe ur zipped is undone. So go to Ohio. Why are u reading this. If you r reading this, the lord should set u on fire with propane and lava... thing. So in conclusion, the police are knocking on my door, yeah... also see my other review (The thought process behind writing a review)where jak II reviews should be. In conclusion i suffer short term memory loss. And in conclusion i suffer short term memory loss. And in spam is much habablibub. (...) I hope u live shortly. 5-0 out of 5 stars Take New York for a spin...
This game is incredible because not only does it use GTA mechanics to get around new york, not only do you get to swing ON BUILDINGS and NOT in THIN AIR *coughprevious-spidermangamescough*, not only do you get to run on the streets and rooftops whenever you please, not only can you do more super human moves like cooler, simpler combos *coughspidermanthemoviecough*, not only can you collect ENDLESS tokens scattered across new york, not only can you help citizens from saving guys on a seenking boat to thugs holding up an armored car robbery, Not only that this is the most free roaming spiderman game ever made with this time mostly outdoor environment taking place in the story *coughprevious-spidermangamescough*, but now you get to take on a never ending adventure with your host which is of coarse your friendly neighborhood spiderman! Here are my pros. and cons. below.

*Better, more controlable swinging
*Ability to run faster, climb faster, and swing faster
*protect new york from thugs on roofs, muggers stealing womens purses, people falling off buildings, and more

*Boss fights are fun, yet most easy
*buy upgrades by earning hero points
* find secret tokens all over new york and challenge races in secret spots as well
*the story never gets old
*do wickedly awsome combos when in slow motion fighting enemies!
*Dive off the empire state building and commit suicide!
*for the first time...UNLIMITED WEBBING!
*throw crooks in the water or off buildings
*no repetitive one-liners
*funny one-liners (gee ya didnt see that coming) such as when you fight Rhino, sometimes spiderman will say "Now im starting to see why rhinos are endangered." that one made me laugh
* Fight your favorite bosses such as rhino, mysterio, doc ock, and more!
*story is exciting adding alot of replay value
*You meet and team up with BLACK CAT!
*Cool music
*Bruce Cambell is back and is funny as hell
*Thats it

*No more web zipping (boohoo)
*not the best graphics for this era
*helping citizens gets pretty old
*collecting tokens and doing races is just stupid after you beat the story mode
*game gets repetitve after playing it a few hours straight but its fun all over again once you play later
*not alot of music
* thugs can be mildly cheap when in groups because of their enchanced blocking! Oh, and since when could a thug give spidey a little push, sending him flying in the air about 20 feet, crashing into the ground?
*The story is pretty easy, you might die here or there but the only parts that should really be a pain in the ass is when you gotta stop the mutha F*ckin sonic boom generator thingy...and the last level (not fighting doc ock but the *other* part before it)
*The rest of the bosses are way too easy like the pathetic joke with mysterio and even though you getta fight him in the streets, he was funner in the first spiderman for the PS1 and n64 cuz now he twirls this giant can like a retard spinning with a condum the size of a traffic cone.
*The cut-scenes are cool but SUCK compared to what happens in the movie
*An thats a rap

So I think now you get a pretty clear idea what kinda game spiderman 2 is... Right? Oh, you don't? well, try UNDERSTANDING the pros. an cons. this time. Anywho, its worth the $50 so go get it! its aviable for Xbox, GC, an PS2. I have the PS2 version and played the xbox version at my friends house...beat both of them..heheh.. well, the only difference really is the controls. Hey, why you still reading this? Go Now! Oh, an while your at it, see spiderman 2 if you havent already. So go, take spiderman 2 for a spin...Take New York for a spin.

3-0 out of 5 stars A great web swinging simulator but little more
I'm both pleased and dissapointed with this game. Let me at the outset share my gaming biases before you bother to read on. I really loved the previous spiderman game and am not a fan of the Grand Theft Auto (GTA)series.

This game indeed borrows heavily on GTA and is not at all like the previous spiderman game. What I LOVE about this game is the incredible degree of control of spiderman as you move him through his environment. Being able to access the ground of the city ala GTA is a definite plus helping to further bring you into the comic book world of spiderman. I also find the graphics of the city at night to look amazing although the overall in-game graphics are grainy and poor similar to GTA. And the recreation of NYC overall is quite an accomplishment.

What I dislike about the game includes the combat which I felt was a strength of the previous game. Instead of the fluid movement of its predecessor this one has choppy, awkward moves complete with a monotonous single slapping sound that is the same for each hit. The combat looks and feels like it was developed by the producers of the campy 1960s Batman TV series and plays like 'Batman Dark Tomorrow'.

Yet worse than the combat are the repetitive, uninspired missions and challenges. This first time you a) rescue a guy about to fall from a ledge, b) retrieve a childs balloon, c) foil an armored car robbery, d) get lured into a gang ambush by a pedestrian calling for help it's all good. However, these scenarios occur endlessly and quickly get old and unenjoyable. Then there are the challenges which basically are like taking the training from the previous game and forcing you to complete them during regular gameplay... but these are worse. Finally, the voice acting is awful and within half an hour I was already sick of hearing the same lame lines over and over.

Bottom-line is its all about the web swinging. Not sure I'd shell out the cash to buy this one if I had the choice again but would definitely at least rent it.

2-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy Spider-Man 2!!
I didn't like this game at ALL. I rented it just now, and it sucks!! It's to short. So don't waste your money on it!!

4-0 out of 5 stars and watch the flaws melt away... (4.2/5)
when I plopped this game into my cousins PS2, I was excited, but also nervous about all the bad things I had heard. WEll, I did notice these bad things, the graphics, tho some nice touches (changing window light on the building, and Spidey's fluid movments) were generally sub-par (tho some of the boss characters look good, especially black_cat!) and yes there were a limited number of street crimes, and the game was too short, and a mite on the easy side. I took a jump of the tallest building in manhatten, swung from one end of the city to the other, and broguth back a little tykes balloon. Then I didn't notice the flaws anymore. All I saw was the fun, engaging, and highly entertaining game that SPiderman 2 is. SO do yourself a favour and RENT THIS GAME. (don't buy it tho, its too short unless your a rich fan.)

4-0 out of 5 stars swinging
I hadn't heard if this game was going to be good or bad before i bought it. for the first time i bought a game because the film was so amazing. The game was never going to be that good, the graphics are occasionally a bit ropey and some of the cut scenes are better than others but the feeling of swinging about new york is brilliant. the controls are fairly easy to get to grips with and the sense of exploration is second to none.
The main problem is that the main game is stupidly easy to complete. most boss battles take a few goes and can be quite annoying but they're never that hard. The good thing is that you will come back to it because there is so much to explore after the main game is complete. there's nothing like jumping off the empire state building anywhere else in videogames. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars WOW.. A highly suggested game
If you are a fan of Survival Horror video games, this is right up your alley. This game is packed with scares that you'll be sure not to forget. The graphics are amazing and so is the gameplay. This game would make the perfect Christmas gift, but keep in mind parents this is rated M for Mature for a reason. This a highly entertaining and exciting game that you can't stop playing. I DEFINATLEY RECOMEND THIS GAME!!!!!! IT IS SUPER SCARY!

5-0 out of 5 stars Yet another reason not to leave your apartment.
Silent Hill 4 is some scary scary stuff, but that is nothing that years of therapy cannot fix. That being said, you must now obtain this game. This review is of the Japanese Import of the came, but the US release will be identical in almost every aspect (All the in game dialog is in English, and the menus are multi-language).

It must be mentioned that this game is a departure from the first three of the series, but everything it does different it gets right. The bosses have been removed, but don't worry there is still plenty to back you into a corner and make your cry for mommy. The removal of the bosses has added to the overall fluidity of the game. It seems less like the structured chapter based plot and more like a constant downward spiraling nightmare. The puzzles are a bit more straight forward (not nearly as cryptic as some of the earlier puzzles) and the enemies have become a bit more organic. The skinned dogs are still roaming around but new enemies such as the creepy yeti-babies and ghost/zombies will defiantly keep you on your toes and loosing sleep. I considered the more human of the monsters to be the scariest (Pyramid Head, The Nurses, Blood Soaked Alessa) and this game capitalizes on this.

All of the aesthetic changes are well received like the new health bar and power gauge. The first being so you no longer have to guess at your health via limping or hemorrhaging and stop the game for a inventory check; the second is used for swinging weapons to charge from a moderate THUMP to a full blast body-hurling home-run style WHACK. Two of the biggest departures are the first person perspective mode and the limited inventory. Gone the way of the dodo is the Resident Evil rip-off inventory screen and introduced is the Resident Evil inspired limited inventory. This adds a whole new level to the game being that what items you carry now matter in the sense that you can no longer pick up any more if your inventory is full (and in some parts, what you carry affects the level). No need to worry being that the portal/hole system that traverses you from your room to different 'worlds' allows you to go back to your room and store unneeded items in a stylish ottoman/chest placed next to your possessed television. Also to please your inner voyeur, the frist person view allows you to peek out your window to see into your neighbors' apartments and to spy on the single white female living next to you.

Returning SH fans will find that this new addition has much to offer with it's tentacles embedded in plot from all previous Silent Hill titles bringing new light to old events (What was the outcome of James Sunderland's trip in SH 2, What really happened at the Wish House from SH3, etc.). New players stepping up to the challenge will not be disappointed with beautiful detailed graphics and a story line that drives you to dig deeper and deeper until it all makes sense. Konami once again has created an audio/visual attack on the sensed that is truly designed to scare the living crap out of you. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Onimusha game!
The third installment in the series vaguely deals with the other two. Of course, some enemies return and Samonosuke returns as well. Also, the game now features two main characters with the ogre gauntlet.

Basically there is a rip in time, and genma have traveled 500 years into the future, into Paris. Samonosuke gets sent to Paris, while Jean Reno gets sent to Japan.

Visually, the game is stunning. The graphics are great and the cinematics are probably the best ive ever seen. The game also features that really cool whip of Jeans and his gun.

The combat is basically the same. Samonosuke has pretty much the same style of combat as always, but with some new swords. The new combat stuff is Jean Reno's whip and gun. Jean can whip his opponents and throw them. He can also shoot them but he can't do that from far away. He has to shoot them on the ground or grab them first. This is still cool and makes the combat more fun. They also kept those really cool white counter slashes. The first boss is fun because Samonosuke can slash the room up and the environment looks spectacular. Also, like the other Onimusha games, the heroes get help from NPC's which are relatively good at fighting.

The story is pretty good. The interesting part is how the past affects the future. You can travel through time to distribute items or when you successfully changed the past. This system works well and is fun to use.

The game is pretty much like the other two games. It isn't really creepy anymore, and there are less of those "Find the key!" puzzles. It is more of a hack and slash but doesn't have that town thing like Onimusha 2 did. This is still good. In fact, the game resembles MGS2 at times with the constant cinematics. They rock though so it's fine.

The only bad part about the game is the downshift in creepiness. I was expecting to go through a tight corridor mansion slashing monsters and such, but now it is more slash- away fighting. The other bad part is near the begginning of the game, Jean's voice changes. He no longer speaks French and all-of-a-sudden has a completely new voice actor. You will probably say, "This is retarded". It is, because Jean's voice rocked, but just near the begginning they completely changed it. It is kind of annoying because the new voice doesn't sound like Jean.

Still, the game has some specials for completing it. It also kept those cool white counter slashes which let you decimate foes. I would reccomend purchasing this game if you enjoyed the other two. 4 stars!

3-0 out of 5 stars Onimusha 2.5: Ninja Tales?
I guess I'm disappointed, since getting through Ninja Gaiden for Xbox, that not another beat'em up will give me gaming satisfaction. But then I saw Oninmusha 3 and decided to give it a go.

Okay, I went out and bought this game because I heard it was better than the other onimushas, and that the intro movie is awesome. Well, I'll say that the intro CG done by ROBOT is too dam cool for words. It features the hero Samanouske as a ninja doing some pretty spiffy moves. Wait, wasn't he supposed to be a samurai??

That said, the rest of the game is the complete opposite of the intro. The gameplay is typical Onimusha- you can do almost none of the things that Samanouske displayed in the CG. No running on walls, no jump-kicking, no deflecting enemy attacks, no jumping whatsoever and performing nothing else a ninja can do. It's not bad, just relaxing or subdued compared to Ninja Gaiden.

But Onimusha has always had a thing for good story telling right? Unfortunately O3 fails in this too. Characters are either too serious like the statuesque Samanouske, or too corny like the time-hopping fairy. Some just aren't cool, like the overly hyped Jean Reno as Jauques Blanc (we wanted Jubei Yagiu!).

The game itself proves that it isn't good. The super-cool opening CG (which should go into gaming history) along with a game that makes you wish you were playing the cool ninjastic CG, prove that ninjas are indeed cooler than samurai. If you dig Onimusha you'll be wanting a better end for the trilogy, for those poor souls looking for a Ninja Gaiden, keep looking or play that game again. Onimusha 3 is a kick-ass 6 min CG with a10-hour mediocre game included.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Onimusha
This game truly lives up to its hype. The opening cinematics and the cutscenes are great, one of the best I've seen in PS2. I really liked the game play and as in previous Onimusha games, bosses are challenging, and if you die a certain amount of times it gives you the choice of continue play in easy mode. They took away the friends side quest of Onimusha 2 that was boring. Although Jaques has diferent weapons and moves it's easy to pick up. ANOTHER GREAT IMPROVEMENT ARE CONTROL SCHEME, not like Resident Evil or Atari 2600's Combat. You might question the fixed camera, but you can ignore that with such artistic environments, specially the Arc De Triumph, and cutscenes. This is at least a MUST PLAY game. Even if you are not familiar with Onimusha, you will really enjoy this game.

I played through both Onimusha games and loved both of them. This one is the best by far!! The opening cinema scene could be put up against anything Square Soft has ever done. I played for 7 hours straight and I still want more. Just a great game!

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing Opening Cinematics!
All i can say is the Opening movie is definetly the best out of all the game EVER!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars u want another reason to buy this one right away?
well ratchet and clank and jax and daxter are two other playable characters in the game. this game blows away all golf games including the stiff and boring tiger woods game. the graphics are really serene and stunning. the gameplay is easy and addictive as hell.

nuff said. xbox sucks

5-0 out of 5 stars Way better then your average sequel...
Some people would think any series would die out after four titles, especially a golf game with two titles on the same system but after playing a demo of this and reading about it, its almost like a whole new game with many features makeing it worth buying. First of lets get started with the graphic/sound improvments. Hot shots golf three had great picture and sound but hot shots golf fore has considerable imporvement over those. The graphics are stunning with beutiful backgrounds and well drawn characters. The caracters are a little cartoonish but thats the way there supposed to be in hot shots golf. The sound is great from the plop of the ball when it hits the water to the bounce of the ball when it hits the fariway.

Now lets talk about the new things they added. The most considerable notice is the much more wide selection of courses and characters. Theres an upgrade from the five courses in hot shots golf three to thirteen thats right thirteen courses (includeing the five from hot shots golf three revamped a little of course). Also theres a huge new selction of characters theres now 24 golfers to choose from (one is an animal the rest are humans) and theres now ten diffrent caddies (two are animals i know one of the animal caddies is a panda bear but im not sure about the other). Thats a HUGE new selction compared to what there was to choose from in hot shots golf three. Also new and one of the most exciteing features is the online tourniments were you can test your golfing skills with up to 31 players in an online tourniment exciteing eh? Also another big new feature, the return of putt putt golf. But its not your normal putt putt your up in the air or in crazy locations shooting shots that ricochet off of rocks or haveing to hit over narrow bridges with no rails on the sides! Your rewarded points in putt putt for the length of your shot and how many shots it takes to get in the hole. You can also play two player putt putt witch will be fun to challenger your putting skills.

Lastly ill discuss the improvments in gameplay. The gameplay is enough the same to please old time players but slightly different to please them as well. It still goes by the three click method (press to get started press for length and press again for how straight and how much of the ditance youll get, easier done then said) but has different characters with different ways of hitting and new items to buy to customize the way you golf to make things different. Also theres a new easy mode where theres no third click so you always hit what you mean to for those newbies comeing into the game. Although it dose take a major challenge out of the game. With the new courses and characters it makes it a little funnier to play on new courses that present a new challenge or play as a different character to make a course easier or harder. With so many characters theres a character thats just right for one course and another just wrong for that same course. The gameplay is great maybe the best in any golf game and must be expreinced at least by renting the game. All in all this game is great it manages to keep its old glory that people love yet add new things people are sure to want to see improved or added in yet another sequel. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The best one yet!!
From what I hear, this game's gonna rule!! There is an adventure mode, you can train more than one monster at once, you can use other cds and dvds to regenerate monsters, Monsters don't die and leave a "monster heart" behind, there are a bunch of new monsters (Ripper, ape), and the graphics have improved alot (The work they've done with Jell is... "phenominal")! Now they have breeds and sub-breeds, like on Monster Rancher Advance 2 (They changed depending on where you trained them on Monster Rancher 3). has more information and screen shots, so check it out! This game's got 5 stars with me, and I'd give it ten if I could! I can't wait for it to come out!

Okay, But Lacks Certain Qualities
This game is deffinetly an improvement over the third but it lacks a few things that seperate from the best. For example: Because you can now hold up to 5 monsters on your ranch at a time, you'd think the designers might give you more vs. data slots. But they don't, which means that you can only have one full party of monster's data, plus one monster! Also, when your monster has to be retired, you can't save your vs. data so your stuck with what you have saved in the past.
Training in this game has improved dramatically with the introduction of training gadgets. You can customize your schedule so you don't have to fiddle around with the controls every week like in it's predeccessor.
Once you finish your training you have to go to "weekend activities" and choose to either enter a competition, go adventuring, go to town, or go to the next week.
The all new 3D adventuring in this game is amazing, walk around 4 levels, that you have to unlock as you go through the game, and search for treasures, do goals, or just try and get your monster a new move. You can also unlock the ability to fly, or ride on your monster.
Now about the battles. Your monster can now hold up to 9 moves, plus you can press any button you want, not just the button that's high-lighted, like in MR3. Also, when your monster does a move that annoying black screen, that shows up in MR3, doesn't show up. The second you hit the desired button, unless your monster is disobeying you, the monster does the move. What a relief!
Going to town is also a cool thing. You can go to 4 different towns and talk to people. You can also buy food, and items for your monsters at the item shop. I won't reveal any more of the game, but I will say, this game is deffinetly worth getting!

A game to rent and try out first
I realy liked this game. I've never played the others but i remember watching the tv show. Everything in this game was great. Except i would of rather like it for the characters to talk so u dont have to read. Also i wish that monsters would stay alive longer cause me i like to get them good leveled up to like 200 b4 batteling. And the main character.... The real mystery is he male or female?.. I would of liked it if they would have had a option of characters to pick from and they put great work in the graphics of the monsters but not so much on the main character. The training gets very very boring but its so freaking addicting I keep traing. I reneted the game and got to the third town but now i cant rent it for a while. :(
But over all a great game but some would rather rent to try out first.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fourth version is great
The game returns to it's former playing style (Rather than following MR-3's style, it's more like MR-1 and 2). The graphics are a nice 3D environment regarding your character, the monsters and the battles. The chat/shop modes are flat anime style drawings, however the characters do have facial expression changes during the appropriate moments of chatting.

Whether you're a seasoned MR breeder or new to the game, the fourth version will be easily playable while still offering challenges for us "old timers". The larger your CD/DVD collection is, the more likely you are to get more monster choices. The game will walk you through "extracting a monster" from your discs. Computer discs, music CD's, DVD's, and game console CD's are read by the game at specific points and will display a monster held within for you to keep or not.

The interface (the yes/no options) are a bit tricky, be careful when clicking through to speed text up as sometimes it will click "yes" when you're not ready and tend to destroy a battle or result in purchasing an item you really weren't ready to spend your money on.

The music is nice, low-key, and fits well with the scenes. The monster models are excellent, very cute. Their animations while training/fighting are well done.

All in all, I love the game despite the minor issues with the interface at times. I am a long time MR player, so I was already hooked before I ripped the plastic off the case. :)

4-0 out of 5 stars probably the best in the series
monster rancher was the reason i bought a playstation instead of sticking with my sega genesis and nes. i have now played all four playstation games in the series, and monster rancher advance 2 for gba sp. i like the increased number of moves that i can have available in battle, training multiple monsters at a time, the new adventure system, doing adventures and battles and things on weekends instead of taking up training weeks, the more realistic look of the monsters, training gadgets and placing the house and barn and such. the only thing that i didn't like was having to be a premade character. in the other games, you could choose your gender and you name. i can still choose my name, but i have to be that kid. i know that in other rpgs you have to be a premade character, but i like being whoever i want in monster rancher. they probably did that because you have to have some form when you're running around on the ranch and on adventures, but it'd be better if the character was customizable, or not obviously a girl or boy so you could call it either one. or maybe if you could choose between a male or female form. also, i'd rather not have more of a past than, "oh, so you came from age island" and that's it. oh, and the pixies, at least the ones i've seen, aren't quite as cute in their new, realistic style.. still, the good outweighs the bad. another good thing that i forgot to mention is that they brought back the combine feature. that was something i really missed in monster rancher 3. you can combine two monsters to make one with qualities of both. i can't say much about it for this game because i haven't used it yet. you really should buy all the monster rancher games, but if you can only get one then you should get this one. ... On this game andy serves awsome still you can't get a ace. I just don't understand.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Tennis Game
This game is just brilliant. It's the most realistic tennis sim out there, but it's still accessible, fun and incredibly addictive. The gameplay is very deep due to the huge ball control at your disposal.

In Pro Tour mode you can choose BETWEEN Mission Mode (where you have to achieve certain objectives, e.g. come back from 0-40 down) *OR* Normal Mode. Some people don't realise you can turn off Mission Mode and just play the game in the normal way. In Normal Mode, you just play the tennis games as you'd expect, e.g. You serve, then the computer etc. until you win.

The gameplay is just great, you get involved in the most absorbing and realistic tennis rallies ever. It's such a pleasure to play. It does require skill though. It's not as simple or 'arcadey' as Sega's Tennis or Top Spin, but it is more rewarding and challenging. Smash Court Tennis 2 feels much more like a real game of tennis.

If you play tennis for real, enjoy the sport or just want to try something different then I would definitely recommend this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Better than TopSpin???
I was wary at first to shell out $40 for Smash Court Tennis 2, but now I am overjoyed that I did. The game is addictive and not hard to master. The 16 players you can play as are Andy Roddick, Juan Carlos Ferrero, Tommy Haas, Richard Gasquet, Tim Henman, James Blake, Marat Safin, Lleyton Hewitt, Justine Henin-Hardenne, Kim Clijsters, Serena Williams, Amelie Mauresmo, Lindsay Davenport, Jennifer Capriati, Daniela Hantuchova, and Anna Kournikova. This selection overall is excellent, but I wish they had excluded Kournikova, Hantuchova, and Gasquet and instead chosen Sharapova, Venus, and maybe Roger Federer. These choices are definitely better than TopSpin's, though, which features too many boring American players like Shaughnessy and Harkleroad. In the pro tour mode, my only complaint is that the computer decides what the score is for you based on your playing of a few points in what are called "turning points" of the match. For instance, you may enter a tournament and be playing a higher ranked player, and before you even start the score might be 1(you)-5 (them) in games for the first set, and it will set the score at 30-40, set point for the computer opponent. Then it will tell you that your goal is to win the game. This happened to me and I did win the game, but after the game was over the computer gave the first set 6-3 to my opponent, before I even played another point!!! Still, the pros definitely outweight the cons for Smash Court Tennis Pro Tournament II. The players are incredibly realistic, as are the courts. Clijsters and Roddick even use their Babolat racquets, while Capriati uses her black Prince and Serena uses her black and white Wilson and even wears her cat suit. Most of the clothes they wear are items the pros actually wear in real life, and all the players use their actual racquets. However, another con (though not as important) is that the grunts are completely unrealistic; Clijsters squeals like a 3-year old and Serena grunts like a constipated man. All this aside, you should definitely buy this game, as it is probably more fun than TopSpin and cheaper!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars This is a question
I have not played this game but i want it but i would like to know who all the players on this game are, all 16 of them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Probably The Best Tennis Game Out There
OK, the title may be too long but the game itself is very good. I have played all of the major tennis games out there: Topspin, Sega Sports Tennis, Smash Court I, WTA Tour Tennis, etc. This game is my favorite of the bunch. For starters, it has the best player lineup, including men and women. The gameplay is all about timing and is a good balance between arcade style and simulation. Unlike other tennis games, you can actually make errors in this one. What a novel concept! If you try to hit a flat shot and miss-hit it badly, the ball will go out. The serve takes some getting used to. You can place it pretty well but the controls are very sensitive. The graphics are not quite as good as Topspin but very much adequate. The grand slam courts are recreated very realistically. The AI is fairly balanced. In most tennis games, on normal it is too easy and on hard it is nearly impossible to win. I have been playing this game for a couple of weeks and win most matches against the computer on normal mode but i also still lose at times. Netplay could have been a little better, it is not to your advantage to come to the net unless it is behind a spectacular shot. The running shot that has been incorporated into the game is a neat idea and fun when you can pull one off. Overall I would recomment this game to anyone. The balance between simulation and arcade style gameplay make this game a lot of fun for tennis fans and non-tennis fans alike. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Sonic Game Ever
People are all talking about how there are all funky glitches in the game but i havent encountered any yet and ive been playing the game for a while. people also say that the camera cant keep up with you and the game slows down at times??? what are they talking about? that has never happened to me. the camera stays with you the whole time and even when there are like 10 bad guys, it doesnt freeze. this is the best sonic game ever becuase the graphics are awesome, the controls are easy, and its super long. there are 14 levels plus 4 teams to do it with, and.... you need to get an A ranking on all levelss to beat it, which is really hard. I think that anyone looking to get this game should. because it is very much like the original sonic, but better grphics and cooler moves

The best sonic game ever relesed
4 teams to chose from
1 team that has only appered once in any sonic game
1 unlockable team called team metal sonic
Fast action and strategy
Nice graphics
cool special stages
You get to kill eggman yay

the game is too easy i got every emblem , choas emerald got an A in every mission with every team in 1 day

Overal its a exellent game i would recommend to people who like fast action E mail me and tell me what you think of my review my internet screen name is:

3-0 out of 5 stars Decent game if you are a Sonic fan...
I purchased "Sonic Heroes" for the Gamecube, however recently rented the PS2 version as I was curious as to how it fared against the GC version.

Let me begin by stating that if you have a Gamecube, you may seriously want to consider purchasing the GC version over the PS2 version. The graphics and sound quality are, overall, superior. (I believe "Sonic Heroes" was developed for the GC, then ported over to the PS2/X-Box.)

As for the X-Box version, I can't comment as I haven't tried it. I do own an X-Box in addition to the PS2 and GC, and perhaps will give it a rental try in the future. Given the hardware of the X-Box, I would be inclined to believe that the X-Box version is superior to the PS2 version as well -- but haven't played it, I really can't say.

(Note: By no means am I down talking the PS2. I have a PS2 and there are many PS2 exclusive games for it that I couldn't live without.)

I give "Sonic Heroes" 3.5 stars with the GC and 3 stars with the PS2.

Having played Sonic since the Sega Genesis, I had looked forward (with some hesitation) to "Sonic Heroes". Its a decent game, to be sure, however there are issues that I would like to have seen resolved since the Dreamcast (and GC) "Sonic Adventures".

The main issue being the camera control! The camera control has only been improved slightly since the "Adventures" and still has the player performing blind jumps in many situations.

Overall, if you are a Sonic fan, you'll probably find enjoyment out of this game -- as I do. Implimenting three characters in gameplay, switching on the fly, taking advantage of their individual strengths, was an excellent model that Sega put together. I really like the gameplay.

Its just unfortunate that the game wasn't "polished". Fixing the camera should have been the first priority.

If you are a Sonic fan, again you'll probably get enjoyment. If not, then you'd definetly want to give this a rental before purchasing.

Exellent game,but..........
Exellent game, but ive noticed alot of glitches in this game. Take this for an example(s):1.rarely running through walls.2.getting stuck in stone blocks.3.going through the ground. These are the errors ive found, but really dont bug me that much(because the all happen so rarely.) And also, how come the gamecube version of sonic heroes seems to run smoother? The reason why I ask is because ive tried both versions (Ps2,GC)and I can see a difference. Gamecubes has more sound effects and bolder looks to it.Well,if anybody has an answer, please answer.Well, that about raps it up,so,bye for now.Later days!

5-0 out of 5 stars Blast Through With Sonic Speed!
Remember old Sonic on the Megadrive? How it was all about FUN and SPEED, and not the exploration and questing that the latter Dreamcast sequels seemed to have in abundance?

Well, Kids, Sonic is back and better than ever and now, thanks to some extremely brave and very, very well-executed gameplay changes, regains his foothold as the best platform hero in the world, bar none :-)

Granted, it feels all wrong playing Sonic with a PS 2 pad, but I know I speak for us all when I say I'd rather have Sega Games this way than not at all.

Sonic Heroes consists of all the usual levels - Seaside Hill Zone, Casino Nite Zone, etc., but it's in the teamwork where this game excels. Now, instead of just playing as one Hedgehog or one Echidna or one Bat or whatever, you have to employ teamwork across a cast of three characters per level in order to beat the game. There are 4 teams, so 12 playable characters in all - and range from Staples like Team Sonic (Sonic, Knuckles and Tails) to past characters (Rose the Bat, Big the Cat and Espiosa the... purple thing) to downright oddball characters (Charmy the Bee, for instance). On each team, one character is good for speed, one for strength and one for flying, and you do need to make good use of each character to beat the level you're currently playing. Also, the teams are graded in terms of difficulty, so beginners can start with Team Rose and work their way up, frustration-free.

This adds a huge sense of fun to the game, as well as keeping the Sonic concept fresh and exciting: hedgehog-runs-along-flat-plane is dull-dull-dull, but for the speed freaks the bonus levels are all about speed, and highly reminiscent of the Bonus Stages from Sonic 2. Similarly excellent is the presentation, as one would expect from a Sega game - there are a wealth of options to be unlocked, like new modes of play, the fabulous CG movies, different voices for the characters etc. - all of which makes for an excellent gaming experience.

Thoroughly recommended, this is another feather in Sega's cap and one of my personal favourite Sonic games to date. Enjoy! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars
The 2nd best smash em' up car game on the market and this game only has 4 reviews? Must be a sleeper hit..? This game is 2nd to Burnout 3, which has been dominating the whole car-crashing-arcade driving franchise. This game is simply awesome ( especially 2 player Red Rover, that kills me. )

I would HIGHLY reccomend this game!

5-0 out of 5 stars This Racing Spectaular Has Everything
it has demolition derby figure 8 trailer races oh lord when i buy this game im afraid to ask what other crazy events await me in this chaos and mayhem game

5-0 out of 5 stars As goofy as racing games can get
This is the best racing game!I love all the different games that you can favorite is the chain race, which is when you pull some idiot and his car behind you with, duh, a chain! They also have trailer raices, which you pull a trailer behind you. There are also school bus races, soccer games, whip around races, and last man standing races. And of course, there is old fashon demolition derby! One of the cars you can pick is a Herse. There's even a coffin in the back!Ha ha ha!

5-0 out of 5 stars best racing game ever
most fun I've ever had on a racing game I especially like the demolition derbys

5-0 out of 5 stars IT'S CRASH-A-RIFFIC !!!!!
This is, without a doubt, the most enjoyable racing came I've played since the original "DESTRUCTION DERBY" for the PSone. I loved playing that game, because as the race progressed the track would become littered with the crushed hulks of the cars, black smoke belching from the engine. It was so much fun. And now this new "TEST DRIVE" game has the same insane fun factor and more cars, tracks, unlockables and bone-jarring crashes than any demoltion derby nut could want!

One thing I love about this game is that, unlike other racers, coming in first in the events is not what you need to do to advance through the game. You instead are rewarded for hitting your opponents - HARD!!!! - and/ or knocking them out of the race (called Kills in the game). The more crashes and kills you rack up, the higher your reputation rating goes. And that is how you unlock cars, tracks, video footage of real derby doings (those guys are nuts!!!), and feats ( such as being able to shoot live chickens out the front of your car that explode on impact - sending chicken feathers all over and any unlucky opponent flying into the air or off a cliff ).

There is a large selection of cars and some fun, special vehicles like school buses ( almost indestructible, my favorite car in the game being the rainbow colored bus ), a mail truck, ambulance, taxi and a hearse complete with a coffin in the back ( the red one is called "The Dead Sled") .

The tracks are nice and the race events are way cool! There are so many different types of events, you'll never get bored. There are figure-8 jump races ( in the center there are jumps and the cars fly into the air often crashing with the cross traffic ), forward-backward races ( one lap driving forward, the next backward ), suicide races ( half the pack goes in one direction, the other half in the opposite direction causing many crashes and smashes ), flagpole races ( twice a lap you must drive around a flagpole before continuing ), demolition derbys, push-offs ( like the demolition derbies, only you get extra points for each car you knock out or push-out of the circle ), and on and on.

In action mode you can pick your car, how many races you want to do at one track (1,3,5,7) and which ones (very nice!) and then go out and run your opponents off the road!

In career mode you start out with a little junky car and not much cash. You must enter into events, earn reputation points and cash, buy new cars ( fasters and more durable ) and eventually become the top ranked driver. It is loads of fun, believe me. You will have a blast!

The graphics are quite nice. Doors fly open, hoods are torn off, cars burst into flames, black smoke billows out of their wrecked engines - all to some fine haevy metal music.

I've been playing this game almost every day since I bought it and don't see myself growing tired of it anytime soon. In fact, as I buy new games to play, I believe that this will be one game I'll keep coming back to again and again for a crashing good time!

I know there are other really BIG racing games coming out soon (GT4, MIDNIGHT CLUB 3, NFS UNDERGROUND 2), but don't let that make you ignore this smaller title. I believe any car nut/ racing fan will really enjoy this game and have a good time for many hours. In short, buy it, you'll like it! I know I did. Can you tell? - George Bauch. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars everything or nothing
This game is pretty fun. The missions are awesome. The only problem is that they are kind of hard. The only thing that sucks about the game is the third person view. FPS is so much better!

2-0 out of 5 stars A dissapointment from EA
I've been playing James Bond games for a long time at friends houses etc. Golden Eye, Agent Under Fire, and Night fire were all awesome games in terms of gameplay and the multiplayer arenas. The arenas were probably the most attractive part of the games to me. I liked the team capture the flag, etc. I finally decided to get my own James Bond game(just for the arena mode and the other multiplayer options). Once i got the game, it was a great dissapointment. The arena modes were just pointless and got extremely boring in a matter of 20 minutes. I personally think this is because of the 3rd person view. What really stinks is that you cant play any team arenas and u cant play with computers!! Besides the arenas the co-op modes, etc. were ok... The one player seemed really boring. The story wasn't very appealing. Besides the one player and the multiplayer, I also tried the online mode. It was awful. The co-op mode was a great dissapointment in online mode. Personally I feel this is EA's worst James Bond game. Even golden eye was much better. If you want to get a good James Bond game I strongly advice you to get Nightfire.

girl is hot.
this girl in the game is hot she is i mean really

5-0 out of 5 stars Definitely everything -- slick production and hollywood cast
I'm a pretty jaded gamer and have trouble playing games to completion, often getting bored quickly with majority of games these days. However, this latest game in the Bond franchise is a winner. It takes a lot to impress me and keep me motivated till the end. I was truly amazed by the production value of this game with its all-star Hollywood cast that includes Pierce Brosnan, Judi Dench, Willem Dafoe and Shannon Elizabeth. Moreover the gameplay here is varied enough that'll keep your interest. Shooting, stealth action, racing, and online play. Also the singleplayer game length is much longer than the previous couple of PS2 Bond games and about the same length as the classic N64 bond games

I liked the previous 1st person perspective shooters in the series and was skeptical of the change to 3rd person, but having played this game, I actually think 3rd person view is indeed better! Awesome to watch your bond character perform moves and he can even do some slick hand to hand combat moves that sometimes I just forgo my gun and run around doing some judo moves on the enemies. Great game. How can you not like a Bond game that even has the famous Jaws henchman in the game? Definitely one of my alltime favorite PS2 games, and thats saying a lot from me. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Could have been better
I have been an avid Resident Evil fan since it's first installment. This game has some great options. First of all the character select. You can use any character for any scenario. Each character has his/her own niche. For example, one starts with a gun, another can carry more items, etc. The backgrounds and landscapes are done very well. And anyone with experience in RE will quickly be reminded of certain scenes and situations. I have never not finished an RE game. Having said that, here are the flaws with this game. Most RE games forced a good flow to the game. They didn't let you go somewhere until you figured out why. You could go floor to floor, room to room and still not figure out what it is that you need to continue. During all of this gameplay, you get extremely annoyed by the few characters following you. They constantly say the same thing over and over again, even if you aren't trying to speak to them. Instant headache with that problem. I couldn't play for more than a half hour without putting it down. Next, it appears you can only save once during a scenario. Apparently you can only reload that save if you die, then it's back to square one from the beginning. Irritating to know that you can waste an hour and not have anything to show for it. Another serious problem was the downtime. Every time you open a door or use the stairs, you have to wait a PS1 amount of time before you can continue. Way too much time in between loading screens. Even if you just walked through the door and went back out, you have to wait approximately 10-15 seconds each time. Doesn't sound like alot until you are playing it.
Great graphics, great scenarios, great choice of characters. But this turned out to be the most annoying RE game to play because of the obvious faults. I would definitely recommend you rent this game first before you decide to buy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Oh NO! Zombies!
And much much more of course...

Resident Evil has made a name for itself by being a fun, stylish and very stratified game. Either new players love it, like me, or they cannot stand it. If anything, REO goes a long way towards breaking this mold through more intuitive controls and "simpler" menu screens. BUt it is still a zombie game with puzzles and so if TOmb Raider wasn't your style of gameplay, REO likely isn't either.

As for the game itself, many of us Resident Evil fans have been highly excited by the prospect of finally playing side by side in a game. Unfortunetly, the dreams we had of a massive city with numbers of small groups running around in it proved not to be possible. Instead players are given 5 scenarios, all fairly short, which they can play with other folks online. Which brings up a problem. There is no 2 player support for one machine, a strange oversight which might be explained by the need to share screens but it would have been welcome all the same. Because then the players could communicate with more than the very simple commands that are available to players in this game. I cannot tell another player to combine 2 items and then take them to a certain room. All I can do is ask for them, hope he gives them to me, then do it myself. No keyboard or voice systems are available.

Realistically, it doesn't matter too much. The single player game is still classic RE and although you must trust NPC characters to support you, they are not entirely worthless as they are well capable of surviving. And although each scenario is short, they prove fun all the same. My only real gripe in this area is the need to complete the entire thing (there is a save option but...lets just say it is lacking) which up the anxiety (a good thing) and the frustration (a bad thing). There is nothing worse than making it all the way to the end of a scenario and then falling dead seconds from completion.

Overall, in comparison to games like Resident Evil Zero on Gamecube, this one is better and worse. Better because it encompasses a huge amount of area and fun, as well as letting players interact more, worse because it is disjointed and has little of the story line that makes RE so engrossing. But since REO came out on Playstation, to the consternation of Gamecube RE players like yours truly, this is a great way to whett some appitties for zombie blasting.

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible
I have been a big fan of the Resident Evil games since the beginning. This is by far the worst RE game to date. The other characters that you interact with are extremely annoying. They constantly repeat the same few words over and over again. They also seem to die rather quickly, even against weak enemies like the zombies. Moving from room to room will also make you angry. You can take a nap in the amount of time from when you open the door to a room and actually step in it. Maybe it's just me, but the controls seem to have become worse too. The kick and tackle commands are next to useless, and most of the camera angles just plain suck. I am very disappointed with this game. Horrible job on this one Capcom. I wish I could give it 0 stars.

4-0 out of 5 stars This Game is Great
As a Resident Evil fan I felt I was supposed to buy this game to see how it was. I thought it was great and even though the loading times are kind of slow and the partners that help you out are complete idiots I think you should buy this game.
Even though the game has flaws it has great graphics, the gameplay is more realistic (you get to make homemade weapons, you can kick or push the enemies, and the status screen is in realtime),and I think it is the Resident Evil game that has the best replay value because you can choose 1 of 8 characters with all different special abilities and there is a lot of secret extras you can get in any one of the 5 senarios. I haven't played the online mode which is way funner than 1 player mode (well, at least that is what I heard) an 1 player mode is really fun. I think that you should rent this game first before buying it just in case. I give this game a 4.25 rating but since you can only choose 1,2,3,4, and 5 star ratings my star says 4. Well, who cares the point is that I really like this game and you should get it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Major RE fan hates this installment
For gamers, there are few worse fates than this: You read the reviews and do your research, go out and pay full price for a hot PS2 game, take it home and get jazzed watching the intro. Ready..set..SUCK. You begin to play, and slowly accept the truth -- the game blows.

I loved Code Veronica, and I am a big fan of the Silent Hill series. This game is NOTHING like that. Because of the online element, you are but one of a group of people. Imagine cooperative play with you and four brain dead morons. Movement is awkward, camera angles are worse than usual, and the dead weight bots following you around kill any fun factor.

I did not play this game in online mode, so my assessment speaks only to 1 person play.

But, I haven't got to the worst part.

S....l...o...w load times. I read this in other reviews, yet I bought the game anyway. I thought -- hey, load times take a little while; I am patient so it will be OK. WRONG! Take however slow you are guessing the load times might be, and multiply that time by a factor of 10. Still want this game?

I turned around and sold mine on Ebay two weeks after purchase, at quite a loss. I don't typically write reviews; I make this exception to save others from the nauseating boredom that is Resident Evil Outbreak. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best motocross game since motocross madness 2
Ever wish you could catch air on a dirt bike like those crazy motocross racers like Bubba Stewart or Chad Reed? Well now you can with MX Unleashed. This game straps you to the seat of a wild growing sport of Motocross. With excellent graphics (supports HD 480P), intense game play, and mind boggling stunts, great soundtrack, this game is as close as you can get to real racing. The controls are simple and straight forward. The best dirt bike game to date since Motocross Madness 2 on PC. I kept my playstation 2 around just for the release of MX Unleashed and I'm glad I did.

2-0 out of 5 stars MX Unleashed needs work..
MX unleashed has pretty good graphics but it comes up short in the race mode as the physics are twitchy and control is not very natural. The Supercross tracks tend to force you to follow a single line around the track to complete and if you ask any pro racer, they will tell you this makes for some frustrating races as everyone is forced to play follow the leader.

Motocross game designers seemed to have become enamored with graphics offered on the PS2 and Xbox platforms and they have dropped the ball on game-play and realism. I have tried all of the MX based games out for the PS2 and I have found that 989's Supercross Circuit for the old Playstation still offers a better racing game with better physics.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best MX Game Ever!
I rented this game from Top Hat because I wanted to see if I liked it before buying it. I put it in, and the intro was awesome, even though it was just shots from racing in the game.(Whatever happened to the little videos of REAL people doing stunts in video game intros?) I went into career mode, and you got to totally customize your player from his bike(including a few 4-strokes), to his outfit and colors. You ride in the amatuer 125 class, and make your way up to the big 250s. You can even ride on 50ccs and 500s. This game is awesome and 2-player is fun because you can do 2-player freestyle.

2-0 out of 5 stars ok
If ur into semi-realistic games, this is a good buy. If ur like me, and u actually ride mx or supercross or for that matter any motorcycle, dont buy it, its more like riding a bicycle, and the cheezy tricks are impossible, even for nate adams (freestyle champ).

5-0 out of 5 stars Most Accurate and Fun Gundam Game Yet
When I heard that Encounters in Space was supposed to play like Zone of the Enders, I was pretty stoked since ZOE was probably one of the best mecha games made for PS2, with the exception of RAD. But since I'm a Gundam fan, this grabbed my attention. Bandai has hit the nail on the head with this title. Fans of Gundam or mecha in particular will eat this up. First off is the animation for the series as shown in the game. The original Mobile Suit Gundam has been re-animated so it looks brand new and that just rocks. The sound effects and music is replicated to a tee. It is EXACTLY like the series, which isn't bad for us Gundamanics. The controls take a little getting used to, but they're not completely horrible. Graphics are good, but think a sharper, better looking Star Fox 64. The CG intro is great and is leagues better than that kiddie-pleaser SD Gundam currently on Toonami ( hopefully Zeta Gundam will be out soon and take SD Gundam off). The most impressive thing about this game is you can play as almost any of the Mobile Suits. Sadly, you can't play as most of the Gundams from Gundam Wing or G-Gundam. But they do have a good selection. Master Gundam,Burning(God)Gundam,Wing Gundam Zero Custom and TallGeese III. This is a game strictly for Gundam fans, but a darn good, if not, fun one.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best Gundam game of all time!
Ok, i'm sure you've heard this alot but, it's true this is the best Gundam game ever. Why? It gives you a heavy amount of variety in the Mobile Suits. Ok it gives from the 0079,0080,0083, eras, and G Gundam, Gundam Wing Endless Waltz, and Gundam SEED. Not only that but you can create your own character and build up their statistics through 8 different levels. And be able to use this character in the versus mode included in it. Also there is a Side Story mode to play as either of the two main Gundam pilots on board the assault carrier Throughbred. Plus there is also an Ace Pilot mode which allows you to play as one of your favorite pilots. Now I won't reveal the other information because otherwise, you wouldn't buy it. So go to toysrus, or the website here, and buy it. Trust me you won't regret it. But a little correction, the main storyline is NOT about 0083, it's about 0079 with Amuro and Char. Also what Megaman said was wrong, you CANNOT use Mobile Suits from the 8th MS Team, except for the Ball Type K, and no there is NO Victory Gundam MS's. Also you can use Mobile Armors, and space craft, such as the Core-Fighter and so on. There are a few hidden MS's but, if you've played, beaten, and have your saved file from Mobile Suit Gundam: Journey to Jaburo, you can play TV mode by loading the file from the game. This is an added bonus for those who bought it like myself(that game's good too), but for those who didn't you're gonna have to ace through movie mode with all A+'s.

4-0 out of 5 stars I like this game.
I like the gameplay, control, etc...

4-0 out of 5 stars GAME GUIDE

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game
This game is a continuence of journey to jaburo so you can expect something good from it. To tell the truth it's just a mix of all 3 games Fed VS zeon, Zeonic Front and Journey to Jaburo in terms of charactoristics like stratagy and graphics. Game play is great with several different stories and modes. Everything about this game is great but the on level inside the colony which kinda sucks. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Will they stop delaying this game?!
I've been waiting patiently for this game since may, and it still hasen't come out. however, the game looks intriguing enough to wait a little bit longer. Crazy action, hyper fast paced music, and whacky lightshows all come together to make it look like a pretty addictive game. I just hope it actually comes out before Christmas.

5-0 out of 5 stars BAM comes through with Bujingai
Having played the import and BAM's US version of Bujingai, I can say that the US version keeps most all of the Gackt goodness of the import version. The only main difference are the cutscenes are dubbed in English.

In my opinion it is virtually impossible to find better voice actors than they have in Japan, but BAM did manage to find some decent voice actors. The decision to dub was one that took much consideration by BAM, who did not want to offend Gackt's US fans. The choice to dub was only made because it was not technically feasible for BAM, to add subtitles and offer dual language audio. Bujingai is a single layer DVD5, and is right at the size maximum.

As for the in game sound, all of the Gackt voice samples are intact, along with the rocking Zuntata soundtrack. The soundtrack, by the way, is available separately as an import on the Zuntata Records music label. The extras you ask? They are all there, including the alternate Gackt costume, and the beautifully subtitled video extras.

I find that many reviewers are bothered by the rather unique storyline of Bujingai. The game's story doesn't seem all the strange, if you consider that Gackt Camui claims he was born on July 4, 1540, and yes as some have suggested Gackt didn't have a happy childhood. BAM really did a great job of preserving Gackt in all his glory. Don't get me wrong, even without Gackt this is one heck of a beautiful game, but Gackt just makes it all the more beautiful. Having purchased the import version, would I buy BAM's US version? I sure would, since you can never have too much Gackt Camui. ... Read more
