Take the power and flexibility of a dedicated computer gaming system and combine it with the easy-to-use, instant-on format of a high-end console system and what do you get? Well, if you also add in DVD playback ability and broadband Internet connectivity, you get Xbox.

The advanced components inside Xbox make it the undisputed powerhouse among current game consoles. A 733 MHz Intel main processor and 233 MHz graphics processor from industry leader nVidia deliver photorealistic graphics in real time. A cavernous hard drive stores saved games and characters, making flimsy memory sticks obsolete. The built-in Ethernet port enables super-fast multiplayer online gaming over a broadband Internet connection. Four game controller ports allow you and three of your buddies to play at the same time, or you can use them for other peripherals such as gamepads, light guns, and who knows what else?

But Xbox has more going for it than fancy innards. The Xbox's Windows-based operating system is a breeze to program on, earning it grateful accolades from Electronic Arts, Infogrames, THQ, and other game producers. The less time developers spend struggling with the operating system means the more time they spend tweaking gameplay, which ultimately results in better games. And games are what it's all about.

Well, games and the fun of owning a green-glowing game console that looks like it came from Darth Vader's living room.--Mike Fehlauer

The Xbox Video Game System with Controller S includes the Xbox console, the popular "S" style Microsoft controller, and all necessary cables. A DVD kit (sold separately) is required to access DVD playback ability.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Graphics, but not without its flaws.
The Xbox is an excellent system for any gamer. The graphics are amazing, the sounds is killer and {most} of the games are excellent. Unfortunately, just like the PS2 and Gamecube, the Xbox is not without its faults.

Amazingly detailed graphics
Capable of incredible sound effects
Can play CDs and DVDs (not without a remote though)
4 Controller Ports
Good variety of Games
Well Supported by 3rd party developers
Some excellent exclusive games (Halo, Project Gotham 2, Halo 2)
150 dollar price point is 30 dollars less than PS2 (but still 50 dollars more than Gamecube)
Best Online Service (Xbox Live!)

The Bad

System weighs a lot-don't expecting anything you can bring on vacation
System is ugly-basically a big, clunky box
Lack of RPGS (save Knights of the Old Republic)
Lack of quirky (strange Japanese/Anime/just plain weird) games such as Mister Mosquito and Animal Crossing.
Lack of "kiddie" games- Xbox is geared toward the 15+ crowd
EA Sports games are not online compatible (the PS2 versions are though)

Overall the Xbox is an excellent system choice for gamers who love action/shooter/online games. The Xbox excels in these areas;in fact it blows the competition out of the water. But, due to the lack of games in certain genres, I have to knock the score down a star. That being said, if you are looking for a graphics powerhouse that is home to the best online games (Mech Assault, Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell Pandora's Tommorow) and the best action games (Halo, Halo 2, Brute Force, Deus Ex 2), then you should purchase an Xbox as soon as possible.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best console at the moment

I own both XBOX and PS2 and I think Xbox is better. PS2 wastes my time because its gone in to the world of disk read heaven. Xbox never has this problem unless your disk is dirty, and GTA double pack froze on me but only for the first 3 days of owning it. PS2 may have a wide selection of games but over half of them are rubbish. Xbox has less of the crap games. The graphics are better than the PS2, multiplayer is better, thanks to xbox live. There is a hard drive for xbox so you can borrow music of your friends and store it on to your hard drive as well as game saves(you can use a memory card to take data onto someone's xbox). The PS2 doesn't need a dvd controller but xbox does(people will often already have a dvd player anyway).

I'm sick of people saying that xbox is bad because graphics are great and gameplay is more important. XBOX is the ultimate gaming system for action games, Ninja gaidan is one of the best action games available and it's only on xbox and oxm(official xbox magazine UK)gave it 9.2. It's one of the highest ratings along with SPLINTER CELL 2, HALO, MAX PAYE 2, PROJECT GOTHAM 2 and BLINX the time sweeper and more. Ninja G.... is so good that OXM said cast your mind back to when you kicked someone through a stained glassed window in DEAD OR ALIVE 2 and remember how thrilling it was, times it by a million times and Ninja.....delivers on thrills . Buy the xbox for that game.

Check out these very good games that are coming out in the future on xbox, ADVENT RISING(action), Kill switch(shooting), manhunt(horror action), Driv3r(formally named driver 3 and it's like GTA), Full spectrum warrior(only on xbox, action), Spider man 2, Burnout 3, Richard burn's rally, Fable(only on Xbox)(RPG), Ghost recon 2(3rd person action), Halo 2(only on xbox), Pro evolution soccer, Break down(only on xbox, innovative 1st person shooter), Doom 3(only on xbox and PC), Dead or alive 4, Delter force black hawk down, Def jam vendetta 2(wrestling), Goldenye 2, Freedom fighters 2, Half life 2(only on xbox and PC), Jade empire(RPG), Otogi 2, Prince of Percia 2, Quake 4, PSI ops, Starwars Kotor 2(RPG), True crime 2, Top spin 2, The Matrix, Time splitters 3, Silent Hill 4 and Star craft ghost. BUY THE XBOX FOR THOSE GAMES and I didn't list all the games that are only for xbox.

Don't believe anyone that says xbox is trash because play Tony Hawks under ground on Ps2 and the gameplay is sluggish and so are the graphics compared to the xbox. Splinter cell 1 first came to Xbox with great graphics and gameplay and 5 months or so later it came out on PS2, people saying graphics improved, wrong. All the developers did was add a few colours on PS2 and xbox still had the best lightining effects and so on. When ever there's a game that goes multy format, it'll usually be best on xbox and Soul calibre 2 is a prime example.

PS2 better all the way.
Okay people, listen up.Xbox is a good system and all,and has a built in memory saver(whataever its called)think of the size and memory. The things like a MONSTER.It takes up alot of room. And the memory on it is not portable ! So that does not allow you to take it to your friends house.

5-0 out of 5 stars Don't Judge if your a PS2 OWNER!
Listen, a lot of people here giving it a 0/5 stars all own PS2s, and probably have never played on an Xbox. Listen, an Xbox will cost about the same as a PS2, with the accessories. You see, the PS2 only has 2 controller ports, so they spend money buying a hookup for four. Xbox has that. On the other hand, Xbox can't play DvDs without the little kit. In the end they both break even. Both systems have the same ammount of buttons (Trust me, I own both) and they both get great games. Some great games for Xbox are Halo, Mech Assault, Riddick. Some great PS2 games are Red Faction (older classic, like Halo...), Jak and Dex, and some others.

So what makes an Xbox better? Well, Xbox's may not get as many unique games (Which is funny, because a lot of the PS2's unique games SUCK!), but it has a way better graphic engine and a nice onboard memory (NO NEED FOR MEMORY CARDS!!LESS MONEY!). Almost forgot, Online has some nice perks too.

Now, don't listen to idiots who have never played BOTH, but someone who has both. If you want to spend less money, I would go with this, because there are alot of games that come out for both, but they usually look better on this!

Don't count Nintendo out, they have some...odd...perks

PS2 Better...
People if u are thinking about getting XBOX, reconsider. I have PS2 and XBOX. Yeah maybe XBOX has more features but PS2 is the system to get. PS2 has more games u can't get on XBOX. plus your XBOX will tire it self out and die within 1 year. U can have PS2 as long has u want as long as u take care of it. SO ALWAYS GET PS2. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Baby spent nine months floating around in her/his own "aquarium," listening to the deep-sea sounds of Mommy’s tummy--so why wouldn’t she love to tune in to the gurgles and splashes of this Aquarium Bouncer? The lightweight bouncy seat features an ocean-themed fabric seat with harness restraint (machine washable), calming vibrations, a baby- (or parent-) activated toy bar, and a pretend tank filled with swimming fish, bubbles, colored lights, and music. Infants can bat at fish and seahorse to activate music, lights, and sounds (and stimulate sensory development, by the way). Four selections of music and sounds (with volume control) allow ocean waves, a babbling brook, summer rain, or lullabies to wash over Baby. The removable toy bar features brightly colored toys with spinners, teethers, and textures to stimulate baby’s sight and touch. Baby’s going to be a veritable genius before s/he is through with this seat! Discontinue use when baby reaches 25 pounds or can sit upright unassisted. Four D batteries required (not included). Phillips head screwdriver needed for assembly (also not included). --Emilie Coulter ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A great buy!
We wanted a highchair that "stuck out" and that invited my son to eat. We liked the idea of a toy before meals, just a way to keep him from falling asleep before we fed him! (which he does when I am preparing a bottle!)

Hes only 5 months but already I know this chairs a keeper. It reqlines enough for if he does fall asleep (which he WONT do at night, so basically wherever he does thats where he stays!!! Hes a lightsleeper) we can just reqline him back (which has happened at meal times, we have been getting him used to this chair and he has fallen asleep). It adjusts to different table heights, we like having him with us at the table most of the time, but if we dont want him right up close we have that option too. The cover is vinyl, easy to wipe down and also goes into the wash no problem... The fabric colors are all dark, this hides stains more and the plastic is white which is easily cleaned anyway. It has easy to use wheels so we can bring him all over the kitchen, and I can put the breaks on or off with my foot. The seat is very comfortable and plush. There are a few "frills" but its actually not too bad (see the Link-a-doos!) and there arent many crevaces for run-away food. The tray is a one-handed release and its not too heavy to hold with one hand. Its easy to put on and take off and I am never fighting with it. The snap on trays are not going to be used proabbly until he starts actual food (hes just on bottles and baby cereal now!) but those may eventually be our "plates" as they fit in the dishwasher easier than the large tray fits in the sink. Theres a five-point harness to keep him in the seat and to insure saftey even without the tray. The tray is not too far away nor too close, perfect for baby.

I love this chair, its so easy to use and I doubt I will ever give it up... My son also adores his "fishy chair"...

5-0 out of 5 stars Great High Chair
This high chair features everything that is needed in a high chair and a few fun toys for your child also.I love that the tray is dishwasher safe. The straps are dark blue, so no more of the easily stained straps.(Hated that about my last high chair.)For the price and the features, this is a great choice. No need to spend close to $200 on the fancy European brand high chairs.

5-0 out of 5 stars Life Saver
I bought this highchair for my daughter when she was 3 months old. I started putting her in it so that I could cook dinner and we could eat as a family again. She did great! Of course at first she needed help with the toys but it didn't take long for her to figure it out. Now she has started eating in it and it cleans up nice. I wouldn't change a thing about it.
I have several of the Aquarium items and I have not been disapointed yet. I would reccomened any of the Aquarium items to anyone.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Great chair!
Wow, this chair must be popular with twins! I too have twins, 21 month old twin boys. WE have had this chair since they were about 9 months.

Before we had this chair we had the harmony chair in colby. It was very cute, but not at all funtional and it actually broke when my niece (2 year old, average weight/heirght) sat in it!!! So I imediatly went out to BRU to get a new one.

I bought this chair because it was EXTREMELY sturdy. I also liked the 5pt. harness to keep my master of disasters in place. The seat cover was very soft, and my boys seemed comfortable in the store. My sons were very excited about the color, that means very excited for meal time! The tray and the heights adjusted, and it wasnt too expensive.

Once I got this chair home I really found out how great it was! My small boys could fit in it snugly, (though they are small at 32nd percentile)yet they can fit in it now at about one year later! The tray is very easy to one-handedly take off and put back on, and its not too heavy or cumbersome. The dishwasher insert is incredible, and we love it soo much, and use it all the time. The seat cover is machine washable, and also very easy to wipe down because its vinyl. The tray adjusting, and the height adjusts make it extrememly easy to bring up to the table, since now my toddlers are obbsesed with doing everything as a "big boy". The wheels are really easy to lock, or unlock and I can push it around very very easily, which is much more important than I thought. Its also not too heavy if I have to lift it.

What I dont like is the color, its just too bright and I really liked the old colby color, but this is a very minor issue. The chair is also HUGE, I mean its even enourmous when folding, but we do have a large kitchen. Like some of the previous reviewers I really dont like that huge toy, its just not apropriate for meal time, though our boys love to play with it on the floor, and we have never introduced them to it at meal time so they never whine for it, yet again unlike a previous reviewer. I too ordered more trays, and fisher-price was very very nice and I had no problems, I believe that maybe the reviewer who had a bad experience was just worked up and made it worse with her adttitude (although I am NOT discrediting her account nor do I have any spite towards her, its just I believe she was very upset as it is and may have taken the advice in a bad way). THe tethered toys are also not really neccesary, but ohh well.

Other than those few, very minor and optional, cons this chair is great. I love it and am really resenting the day my boys grow out of it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome highchair!
This chair is great!I got 2 for my twin girls and couldn't be happier. There are several height settings so I can sit on a stool, a dining room chair or on the floor and still be comfortable. The tray is easy to attach and remove. The removable tray fits nicely into the dishwasher and makes clean up a breeze. The adjustable reclining back makes it comfortable for my little ones to sit back a bit but will be nice for them to sit up straight as they get older. The color is a bit bright but we can live with that in order to have the convenience, safety and reliability. Also, the base is a bit bulky but it folds up so you can set in a corner or against a wall.
I originally had the Graco Harmony and went to put it together to find broken parts. Then I read the online reviews to find many, many negatives about it.
I'd definitely recommend this to anyone (and have already to many family and friends)! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice, but really only for newborns or very small babies?
I have to say, just looking at the Baby Papasan makes you feel cozy and I couldn't wait to get one in my house. My son spent most of his time (even sleeping) in his bouncy seat and we thought that the Papasan would be more comfortable and secure for him for the long stretches he spent in it. He is not an off-the-charts baby in height or weight but at only 2 months (when I bought this) his legs were already hanging over the bottom edges by a couple of inches - it seems like the placement of the safety belt and the pitch of the seat are off. I didn't feel comfortable having him in it for more than a few weeks after I bought it (HE didn't even look comfortable)and Fisher Price says the weight limit is 25 lbs!! I would have taken it back had I not already thrown out the box.

5-0 out of 5 stars So far, so good
So far, this chair has been the only thing to soothe my son. He was a 4 lb. preemie and has been home for a month. Since then he has developed reflux and has been gassy, refusing to sleep in his cradle or crib. He would only sleep in his car seat but looked slumped and uncomfortable surrounded by buckles. This seat nestles him in and he looks so comfortable. He loves the vibrating--it puts him right out! In addition, the fabric part comes off easily and holds up well in the wash. If you ask me, $50 is a small price to pay to get your baby to sleep peacefully and to get some rest yourself. But do understand, this does not replace a bouncy seat as it does not bounce.

3-0 out of 5 stars Cuddly but not fun
I received this for a shower gift. It is so cute, soft, and cuddly, and I had it all set up before my first son's birth. Every thing works just perfectly, and it was a breeze to set up. However, my son has enjoyed the Fisher Price Aquarium Bouncy Seat much more. Maybe my son just loves looking at the fish swim in front of him and the ability to make his seat bounce. This seat has just been a little too "calm" for my active baby!

5-0 out of 5 stars Two Thumbs Up...
I originally had seen the papasan on the Target website, and was impressed by the looks of comfort, design, and the high remarks listed. I immediately decided to add it to my registry. Thank goodness I rec'vd this as a baby just loves it! When it is just myself at home and feeding time, she tends to get a bit cranky. I do not and will not have her in my arms while I am by a hot stove, so I will place her in the papasan while I make her bottle because it tends to soothe her until her formula is ready. She is less fussy, and you can immediately tell that with the combination of the ever-so-soft seating and vibrations, it is absolute heaven to her. I would recommend this item to anyone, but with like everything, every baby is unique and will take to products and toys differently.

2-0 out of 5 stars Baby looks uncomfortable!
After reading the reviews, I registered for both the papasan and the kick and play. My son was a preemie, and at 4 1/2 lbs., I had expected this seat to be great based on the reviews. Unfortunately, he did not seem to care for this seat AT ALL. His head was pushed forward by the head rest, and there was no way to remove it or push it up, out of the way. I tried to put him in the seat off and on for over 3 months, as he grew to over 12 lbs. At no point did he tolerate the seat for more than 10 minutes. The music was a bit loud, the vibration seemed okay, but he had nothing else to entertain him and looked completely uncomfortable. The blanket was in the way and the bunny just blended in to the fabric, so I don't think he could even see it. He has enjoyed his kick and play to no end. I would recommend that over this seat any day, especially considering the price! ... Read more

This toy will make you want to take a nap. Equipped with straps that attach it to a crib, this play aquarium and music maker is the perfect thing to amuse a child or soothe them to sleep. There are three settings, depending on what kind of stimulation is needed: music only; music plus soft glowing lights; and music plus lights, bubbles, and moving fish. There are also three music options, the best one offering soft and melodic New Age fare, the other two somewhat odd, spacey versions of familiar lullabies. The music combined with the lights creates an instantly peaceful, soothing ambiance. There are a couple of buttons and doodads for baby to bat around that make the fish react in various ways. If these buttons were a little more responsive, this toy would be near perfect. --David Stoesz ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My little one goes to sleep everynight w/ this toy
We really like it. I had the older one for my 6 year old. Now my 7 month has had this one for 6 months, and has listened to it everynight before bed. He has now learned how to turn it on and off himself. I would highly recommend this toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Second baby still loves it
I love this aquarium. We first had the older version of it with my first son (broke it when he got older). Then we got this one for my now 6 month old. I change his dipes in the crib sometimes or let him play there and I just turn it on for him to watch. He loves it. I LIKE that it can be loud because when I lay him down for a nap, I want it to drown out the noise in the background... like of my almost 3 year old racing through the house.

It definitely keeps him entertained and even moreso as a newborn.

3-0 out of 5 stars ok toy
This is just an ok toy. My 9 month old son likes it ok but it not one of his favorites. The motor is loud and it's kind of creepy music. I would recommend getting a different toy to soothe your little one back to sleep. My child just mainly likes to play with it a few minutes or so.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not quite what I expected
The ocean waves sound really soothes my son to sleep, but I have to keep the volume turned down all the way. I can't believe how loud the volume is for a nightime toy. Also, I can't turn the bubbles on because the motor is so loud if it doesn't keep the baby awake, it keeps me awake over the monitor. The bubbles are the major reason I bought it, so I'm not exactly thrilled with it. I just feel like there was probably something else out there we both would have liked better.

4-0 out of 5 stars Helps her learn to go back to sleep on her own
I bought this for my daughter when she was just 1 month old, she is now almost two and she still loves it. You can adjust the how low it hangs down in the crib so I have never had a prblem with her head getting hurt. She loves to push it by herself, and when she wakes up in the middle of the night she just sits up and pushes the button and goes back to sleep. The Bubbles are a bit to loud to use when she is older though and the music is also a bit loud for a crib toy. But the running water noise saved us when she was a baby. ... Read more

Activity mats are a staple baby item in most households. They provide a safe, fun, and educational environment where your little one can lie or sit, and play. Tiny Love's award-winning deluxe mat depicts a riot of happy animals. Elephants, monkeys, giraffes, and even birds will charm your baby who will love the round mirror, squeaky bird, crinkly elephant ear, and pullable giraffe tail. Also included are four plastic rings that can hang from the crossbars, each one with a different plush animal attached to it providing more stimulation and activities. Hidden in one corner of the playmat is a small plastic box housing a switch and speaker. Move the switch to Mozart to hear 10 continuous minutes of music and to light up the three flowers on the mat. Switch to Nursery Tunes for shorter snippets of three popular songs. The mat and its arches fold up nicely, and the entire gym snaps together and travels easily. --Pam Lauer ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT ENTERTAINMENT
My 4 1/2 month old daughter has enjoyed this Gymini for over two months. It is wonderful entertainment. She especially loves the mirror and looking at the flowers light up when she is on her belly. I love the convenience of being able to fold it up quickly and neatly to take to our parents' houses. It is the ONE item that we could not live without right now. She loves to play on it for over an hour a day. It's well worth the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT GYM
Our 4 month old little girl just loves this gym. She plays with all of the animals and just laughs for hours at a time. It folds up very easily, which makes it a sure thing to take to the grandparent's house. I would highly recommend this gym for your infant.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful
My 8 week son is very active. He loves to move his arms and legs all day long. So, I knew a Play Gym would be perfect for him. He loves this one. He can kick and grab at the hanging toys for up to an hour. It's very colorful. There is so much for him to look at. Don't think for a minute that this is too busy or that there is too much going on. He makes all sorts of happy grunting and gurgling sounds, so I know he is being entertained. He isn't laying on his tummy very often yet, but that just means he can grow into this toy. I highly recommend this Play Gym!

5-0 out of 5 stars This is Great
My baby loves to play with this. I used this almost right away. Great colors and music. You will be sooo proud when your baby first reaches for the toys!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars A MUST FOR YOUR NEW BABY
This is by far the greatest gift we got! I don't know what I would have done without this! My daughter loved it so much. I first put her in it when she was 3 weeks old and she stared at the animals so intently. She would smile so big at the giraffe... It was too cute. It encouraged her to reach, swat, kick and grab at objects very quickly. And the mirror on the corner helped encourage her to roll over at an early age. The arches are removable (and should be removed once your baby can sit up) and the mat & toys are machine washable. It folds up nicely and I kept the original plastic bag it came in for traveling. Again, this is sooooo worth the money!! I would move the toys around all the time. And she loved the different textures. The giraffe and monkey are rattles, the parrot crinkles, and the elephant vibrates. There's another rattle and mirror too. She loved chewing on the monkey and giraffe feet! Perfect size for a little mouth :-)The mat itself has a crinkly elephant ear, zebra tail, squeeky bird, and musical flowers that light up. You can put the music on yourself, or they go on when your baby puts pressure on the music pad.
The ONLY negative is that when it folds up, the "good side" of the mat and toys are exposed, instead of folding the opposite way. But if you save the original bag, it's not a big deal.
I can't say enough about this - it helped me occupy my baby for hours. I just loved laying next to her while she played - or knew that she could entertain herself while I relaxed nearby. It has been a favorite for months - adapting to her development!! DEFINATELY BUY!!! ... Read more

This is a happy, noisy toy that should amuse most toddlers. Everything that can be touched reacts in some way, from a trombone-playing frog to a book that sings the alphabet. Our favorite is the colored keyboard that sings each color you press. The tabletop can be placed on the floor for those still in the crawling phase, or can sit on the included legs for a sturdy surface and leaning spot for little ones who are new to walking. If there is any fault with the Learning Table, it may be that it has too many features: each element of the table reacts in two different ways, depending on whether it's in Learn Mode or Music Mode. (Modes are switched by flipping the page of the book mounted in the center of the table.) Though this means more fun stuff for kids to hear, the mode concept is not one that they can be expected to understand, and the effect of the toy's inconsistent reactions is likely to be confusion. --David Stoesz ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Well worth the money!
Bought this for my daughter at about 6 mos and she just turned one. She still plays with it! It is well worth the money. Also, it is fun to put little goodies in the open/close compartment. I put cheerios in there and she loves it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy!
This is a must! This was given to my daughter before she could walk. Not only did we take the legs off so she can play with it while sitting up, but this toy helped her pull up! We love this toy! She is a toddler now and still enjoys it and I am sure when our newborn gets older she will enjoy it the same. ***We use to put surprises in the little purple compartment!

5-0 out of 5 stars Love this!!!!!
Wow!! We got this for Christmas for our 4 month old and she loved it from day 1!! She loved holding herself up and standing by it and playing with it. I thought that there didn't look like very many activities but when you turn the page in the middle it makes all the gadgets do new things. Our daughter is now 1 and still plays with it all day. My husband has even caught me playing with it and singing along a few times!! I love it too!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great For Learning to Walk
I bought this for my son when he was first starting to crawl. After I bought it he was pulling up on it and cruising/ walking around it at 7 months. He interacts with it by learning how to open the little purple lid, how to press, push, pull and how to flip the page. It is very heavy and he can push it and bang as hard as he can and it will not flip. It is also very durable, although, the purple lid can be pulled off but it is safe and it snaps back on easily. It is funny because my son cannot stand for me to reattach it because the first thing that he does is pull it back off. Highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best table toy ever!
My kids and any other kids that come to my home LOVE this toy. It's the first thing they got to. We've had ours for about 2 years now and when ever any one I know have a baby I get this for them as their Happy six months old gift! This is a MUST have for any kid! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Our twins love the jumparoo!!!
We purchased this almost a week ago for our 5 month old twin girls. I wanted it mainly to help strenghen the smaller twins legs and she didn't really get much entertainment from the Exersaucer and the FP Take Along Hop & Pop. She loves bouncing around! I did put a pillow on the floor since she couldn't yet reach even on the first setting. She'll stay in it for close to an hour. They both get excited when they activate the music and lights. The girls are both under 11 pounds, so we'll get plenty of use out of this!!!

I'm so glad someone came up with a jumper that didn't require a doorway!!! I remember with my older children, I was always so afraid the Johnny Jump-up would fail or the molding would come down.

This has by far been the easiest product to put together!

5-0 out of 5 stars We looked and we looked...
for a jumper that did not require placement in a doorway. We have only two small doorways (bedroom) to hang one in. We were afraid she might actually bump herself hanging there. We decided on the Jumperoo after a few days of research.

At first, we were leary of purchasing another Fisher Price product considering the difficulty of assembling the Cozy Fit Infant Highchair. However, when we got this home, it was assembled in less than 15 minutes without the instructions. Our six month old 15 pound daughter loves this Jumperoo. She hops, moves and bounces with nothing but smiles and delightful giggles. She is an absolute joy to watch in it also.

There are two volume control settings for music: high and low. The high setting is not obnoxious. There are also two mode settings. You can set the Jumperoo to play music when the baby jumps and moves, or you can set it to play only when the button is pushed. While the music plays, there are two lights that flash back and forth. It is a real eye catcher for our little one.

The toys are easily accessible to our daughter's reach while sitting in the Jumperoo. The Lights and Sounds Toy does come off easily and there is a small tray underneath that could hold other favorite toys. Another wonderful feature was the four height adjustments enabling the Jumperoo to grow with our daughter. Seat depth is about 12 inches so she is well protected and stabilized on all sides. Additionally, the seat does come off easily for washing.

We have not had any problems with the Jumperoo. It is sturdy and folds up nicely so you can tuck it away. It unfolds just as easily, but is rather roomy. For the many smiles given to all of us, the Jumperoo was well worth the investment. We wouldn't change any of it.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Baby Toy
Bought the Jumperoo for my son when he was 4 months because he loved standing on our lap and trying to jump. As soon as we put him in it he loved it. Played with the toys right away and loves being able to jump on his own. He is now 7 1/2 months and there isn't a day that goes by that he's not in it! The best money ever spent on a baby toy. We've used this toy the most out of anything. If your baby loves to be active and bounce around...this is the toy for you!

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny!!
We bought this for my daughter when she was 6 months old, after seeing at a baby shower. She is now 9 months. It is worth every penny. She jumps in it every day and loves it. I have even caught her falling asleep while she was jumping, she didn't want to get out. This is definitely a toy worth buying. We had gotten a walker as a shower gift and I returned it. She has one at the babysitters and didn't like it, she enjoy this much more!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great product.
I got this as a baby shower gift. And it is a wonderful thing. I started to use it when my daughter was 4 months. She just loves this thing. Of course she can only sit in it for 15 mins because she gets tired of it. This is a great buy/gift for the baby. My baby gets so excited in it, she bounces and screams in it. The first time we put her in there she was soo happy - I couldn't stop laughing and neither could she!!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best $$ ever spent-just bought 2nd
I wouldn't be able to praise this toy enough. We gave it to our oldest daughter last Christmas when she was 3 1/2. We were concerned because of the price but compared to a GameBoy we prefered the educational aspect. We have never regreted the purchase. She loves playing with it and has even mastered basic math skills well ahead of time. We had a problem with the screen not responding after about 6 months but it only took a quick email to Leap Frog and they replaced it with our only expense being a few dollars to ship it to them. They have excellent Customer Service. We would have even invested the money to buy a new unit if they hadn't replaced it.

We have just purchased a unit for our 19 month old daughter because she always wants to share big sister's. I know the age is 4-10 but our little one just loves the characters and even though she doesn't totally understand what to do, she still loves playing. It has helped her to master control of the stylus and she is now much better at coloring too. We have a few extra cartridges and plan on expanding for Christmas.

We haven't had a problem with battery consumption. This toy definitely hasn't eaten batteries nearly as quickly as others and my older daughter plays with it almost every day. She would play with it more if I would allow it. But we still plan on buying the recharging system too.

I highly recommend the investment in the carrying case also.

You just can't go wrong with this toy.

I purchased the LeapFrog Leapster for my grandson as a Christmas gift when he was 2 years old. His mom gave it to him when we was 21/2, he absolutely loves it and has learned so much. I like the durability, educational theme and the add ons, it just keeps getting better and better.

4-0 out of 5 stars Love It
My son was given this on his 4th b-day, he absolutely loves it and so do I! It has taught him alot and the only reason I rated a 4 and not a 5 is because of the battery situation!! Ouch!

4-0 out of 5 stars Battery Eater!
My son got this toy for his 4th birtday. He truly loves it, but it's a battery eater! I cannot believe how quickly this toy drains 4 AA batteries. Thank goodness they are coming out with a recharging unit soon or we'd go broke!

There are two distinguishing benefits of this baby monitor set that make it a good investment: its "decibel" display, which visually shows sounds that may otherwise go unnoticed, and an extra, portable receiver, for monitoring as one runs about the house. Everything else about the set adds to its convenience and durability, but is found in other models. Still, they are good to have: two channels only, for less interference and clearer sound; AC and battery power (requires 6, AA batteries); and an anti-breakage design, such as short, flexible antennae and a thick plastic frame. 5-0 out of 5 stars Try changing the channel if you get static
When I first got this item, I was really frustrated with it, because the static was terrible! It was keeping me up at night just to hear the terrible static. Then I started hearing other voices on it, so I think my neighbor has one and it was picking up their conversations. So I switched it to the other channel, and now it works perfectly! The sound is crystal clear (only gets a little staticy if you turn it up REALLY loud). It picks up my baby's every grunt and cry. Sometimes it works too well, because she grunts a lot in her sleep, and I hear every one!

I also really like the lights feature, because I can see how "intense" my baby's cry is. When I wake up out of a dead sleep at 2:00 a.m., sometimes it's hard to judge if my baby is really crying for me, or if she's just kind of whimpering in her sleep. When those 4 bars of lights light up, I know I better get myself in there! The lights are also nice, because if my baby's napping and I just want some quiet time to read a book, I can turn the sound all the way down, and the lights catch my attention right away when she really starts crying.

This is a great monitor for the price! I was a little weary about buying an electronic gadget made by Fisher-Price, but it's turned out to be a great investment.

2-0 out of 5 stars The static is terrible!
This monitor does the job...I can even hear my baby breathing if I turn it up loud enough. It's cheap and works. But, my two major complaints are that 1. the batteries die in a matter of a couple hours. All the devices can be plugged in, but that isn't the most convenient option all the time. And, 2. the static it gives off is incredibly annoying. Not so much static if the devices are being used with battery power, but as soon as you plug them in, forget it. We've tried different channels, different locations in the house (away from cordless phones, microwaves, anything plugged in) and nothing makes is better. We've lived with it for 10 months now and my husband is forcing to buy another one, no matter what it costs. Just buy another brand!

3-0 out of 5 stars GOOD BUT NOT GREAT
The sounds and lights part work pretty good, although there are times when there's more static than sound coming from it. The only complaint I have is that the dial is not made for real fingers. It's as if they designed it for the babies to turn on and off themselves. But we wouldn't be able to have even 3 good hours of sleep if it weren't for these monitors. I wished I shopped around more.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Monitor
I have this monitor in my 2 year old daughters room ...I love it can turn down the volume and still see the bars moving if your child is crying ....or u can have the volume on and i can hear a pin drop in that room..I dont know why a few people said it was horrible ...i have never gotten an ounce of static out of it and they probably just got a defective one ...i have a 4 month old and someone bought me a safety first monitor and i am gonna return it and use the credit to buy this same monitor ...its hard to find good products and i intend on staying with this one that i trust ...Hope this helps !!

5-0 out of 5 stars Love the lights!
I have used this product for several months now and love it! The monitors are very sensitive so I never have to worry about not being able to hear what is going on in my baby's room, but I also have the wonderful option of turning the sound down and just watching the lighted face if I need to. The dual monitors are also a must as I keep one upstairs and downstairs. Overall, this has been a great product! ... Read more

Many high-tech toys start with a fun and fascinating idea only to make it frustratingly complicated in the execution. Leave it to LEGO to make a technologically advanced toy fun to play with. The enormous 718-piece LEGO Mindstorms Robotic Invention System lets you construct a variety of moving robot vehicles and then program them from your Windows 98- or Windows Me-compatible computer. The robots are all based around a bright yellow basic unit, which serves as the functional heart of whatever is being built. The brick receives commands from the computer via an infrared tower unit. The computer interface is incredibly user-friendly and intuitive. What's most impressive about the system, however, is the variety of robots that can be built. There are detailed instructions for each one, and since these are LEGOs, builders are free to come up with an endless variety. --John Moe ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Toy I have Played with in 40 Years
This system is phenominal. We own version 1.5, purchased a year ago and we have not put it down. And trust me, this is not for kids only. I only wish there was something around like this when I was 12 - I was stuck with Robbbie the Robot replicas.
When my son opened it for Christmas, we knew it would be a big hit. We have spend uncountless hours working on this together (quality, quality time) and the problem solving skills he has gained have put him in a position that he can now program a computer in Visual Basic at 12 years. (Not that this system teaches you VB, but it sure teaches you logic and structure, necessities for any program language)
We have since bought all the expansion kits, a few books and have built robots capable of some unbelievable feats.
Keep in mind that older Technic sets work well with these sets as well as many of the other Lego sets you have.
I would recommend this set to anyone, especially those who longed for a real robot as a child, not a "flashing lights only" Robbie.

Best think ever
I have this toy for more then a yeat and it still is fun,i keep making stuff i even made a robotic hand, this is the best thing ever well what are you wating for buy it!!!

Beware of software incompatibilty
Unless you have Windows 98 or Windows ME, it may not work (who knows -- you may get lucky). I refuse to use either of these operating systems, which I consider wretched. The Mindstorm official FAQ says it was tested only on those 2 operating systems. For those who can get it to work, apparently it's a great product.

Great Product, but IR Tower has problems w/certain computer
Great Product - but like another reviewer, I had the same issues with the IR Tower and XP. Non of the Lego Support Documents were of much use, but using an older PC with Windows 98 did the trick.

A MUST!!!!!
I am an engineering student and we use these in our robotics lab. Adults with an interest in programming can use java or C to program, children can use the included software. The software is an easy to use visual drag and drop type software. I would recommend every parent to purchase this toy. It allows the kids to learn the basics of programming and see the immediate results when the program is downloaded to the robot. My 9 year old daughter never lost interest in my assignments. This is one of the best learning toys I have ever seen. I am planning on purchasing on for myself to use with my daughter (lots of little parts, messy children will need some supervision or most of the robot will be in the vacuum). Children between 7-12 will enjoy the product, with alot of assistance from parent, over 12 should have no trouble at all with it. Excellent for education, and a lot of fun for a parent - child activity. ... Read more
