3-0 out of 5 stars Enough About Your Fake Incident
I use Amazon reviews and it's obvious to all of us that this fabricated incident about throwing the stupid toy at your grand-ma is completely ridiculous.---Nice touch with the consistent misspellings, though.Leave that kind of trash, Jerry Springer-like rubbish out of these reviews.Enough already! If you throw toys at your grandmother and cut her because the arm broke off, then your family needs counseling and you need to be put into some sort of state funded facility.Holy Mother Of Pearl, it's just a badly made toy.Relax.Chill.Get counseling and drink a soda and eat a twinkie unless the sugar high will cause you to injure someone because a wheel fell off your Hot Wheels vehicle.

4-0 out of 5 stars GOOD LOOKING FIGURE
I'm not sure what the deal is with the reviews below.Sometimes you wonder about the mental capacity of some people. It's always nice to have new villians in the Star Wars toy line.Amedda is Vice chair of the Galactic Senate who also acts as Lord Palpatine's major-domo during the Clone Wars.he is from the water planet of Champala. The figure is a very nicely painted likeness of the character. The paint job shows nice facial shading and tones. It's better than the Power of the Jedi Figure. It's not terribly articulated although the tongue is kind of cool. This one is really more of a display piece and great for creating a diorama.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun for Space Battles
This vehicle is pretty cool - it has firing missles and "buzz droids" that can come out of a compartment in the center sphere. For space battles, this is good stuff.

That said, figures don't go in this one.I suppose you could shove a guy into that center sphere, but there's no actual "seat" for a guy.(In all fairness, people didn't ride in them in the movie, either.)

The "buzz droids" that come out of the center compartment are kind of small and pretty easy to lose. There are two "open" droids that can attach to the Obi-Wan or Anakin Jedi Starfighter and there are three "closed" ones that are basically small plastic marbles. They roll about as well as marbles, too, so if you cut 'em loose they roll pretty easily under the couch, under the refrigerator... pretty much anywhere that you'll either never find them again or generally be unable to reach.

That said, it's still a lot of fun.Just don't lose your buzz droids and you'll have a great time.I'm glad I picked it up.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Risk yet!
Well, we have just had our first game of Star Wars Risk: Clone Wars Edition at open gaming day at Dr. No's Comics & Games. The session was very successful and I am very impressed with the game so far. My friend Scott and I took the Separatist army while our new acquaintances Keith and Sara took the Republic. The game lasted a total of 4 1/2 rounds, which is pretty close to a game of Risk 2210. The Republic won, in spite of a last ditch effort to turn the tide via Order 66. Unfortunately, as is the case with games where dice are involved, the dice (or the Force) was not with us. I am not speaking out against dice based games. I like an element of chance. The best laid plans and all that... Unpredictable things happen in wars, especially in Star Wars. Our strategy of holding back defensively and waiting out for a good chance at a sweeping galactic conquest with Order 66 didn't pan out. Even if our dice had been rolled better, defensive is NOT the way to play this game. Play aggressive and ALWAYS invade whenever possible. If you are the Separatists, you have GOT to invade and be successful because you have GOT to get cards and reinforcements. The Republic starts out VERY strong (as they should, since they are the dominant power in the galaxy when the war starts) and if they are allowed to gain inroads into your regions, the Seps cannot mount a strong enough defense with their now limited reinforcements. The bonus cards the Reps get from taking leaders is a brutal advantage. Protect those leaders at all costs! if you HAVE to put one in a forward territory, it better be a 1 pip leader. We were unable to hold a first turn advance by the Republic's red army and had to cough up a total of 5 cards (3 from a 3 pip leader, and one each for both Scott and myself giving up a planet). That turn pretty much set the pace for the game. We were able to stay in it until the fifth position on the Order 66 track, and I called the order at the end of my turn, but our rolls again weren't enough. Order 66 ALMOST eliminated Sara, but one of her strongest planets held firm and was able to take Palpatine on her next turn as we had nowhere really safe to stash him.
Overall, even though we lost, I had a blast with the game. It really does FEEL like Star Wars. While i was a bit disappointed with the unusual looking board at first, I grew to really like it very quickly. Troop placement is simple, there are no questionable areas ("is this a pass through the mountains, or just the artwork?"), and since there are no territory cards there is no need to spend time trying to find the name of some obscure area/region/planet (one of the few downfalls of LOTR Trilogy Risk AND War of the Ring). Never forget that every turn is important. I cannot stress that enough. No matter which side you are, you have GOT to be offensive at all times. Even though defenders gain the advantage in ties, if the invader has ships or Anakin cards that allow re-rolls, the odds are heavily against the defender. The playing time is not at all daunting and can be played in only 2 hours or so ( and a good 1/2 hour of that was set up time), so it could easily be played tournament style, switching sides after a game and playing again best 2 out of 3 or what have you.
One comment I have noticed a lot of people making is that they wish the ship tokens had been plastic pieces rather than cardstock chits. While aesthetically I agree, I believe that for gameplay and ease of use purposes, a chit with a picture on one side and a description of the ship's ability on the reverse side is much more functional than a miniature and a reference sheet next to the board. The less time spent poring through the rulebook for a rule and the more time spent invading worlds and conquering the galaxy, the better.
In my opinion, SW Risk: CWE is the best Risk I have played so far. I have 2210, LOTR Trilogy, and Godstorm (which i have not yet played, unfortunately), but this is my favorite at this point.

2-0 out of 5 stars A disappointment
I really loved the Lord of the Rings Trilogy edition of Risk, and so I was looking forward to the Clone Wars edition.Physically, the game is about the same quality--overall pretty nice but I'm not crazy about the little plastic pieces, which seem even flimsier than the Trilogy game, and much more likely to tangle up together. But that's not a big issue. It's the gameplay.

First off, in a 4 player game, 2 players are good (Republic) and 2 are evil (Separatist), and you are not allowed to attack your own ally.(Gosh, there goes half the fun of Risk right there!) I've yet to come up with a strategy that lets the good side win.During the game, the Separatists have a one-time opportunity to invoke "Order 66".When this happens, each and every planet (territory) in the Republic is checked against a die roll, and a losing roll means the planet becomes Separatist. In every game I've played so far, this wipes out the Republic. Not only have you lost the territories themselves, but all their troops turn against you. It's maddening to be playing the Republic, building up for a great crushing attack and blip, here comes Order 66, bye bye lovely troops.Once issuing Order 66, the Separatists must then place the Emperor (a special piece) on a planet, where he must remain, and the Republic will automatically win the game if they take this planet. But I have yet to get the Republic to recover enough to strike at the Emperor.

The dark side just has too many advantages to make this game fun to play.In the LOTR Trilogy edition, evil starts out stronger, but with good strategy, good can still win.But I just can't figure out the strategy here to make things even. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars They should make more of these
Ive never really cared about the unleashed figures since i was more into the little toys and their ships. But recently i had a birthday and got alot of money(being 16, money is your best friend) and decided to get the Anakin figure cause it shows so mush suffering and anger. It took me a while to get the pieces hooked to the base, to get a solid fit, but once their i fell in love. The lava is the representation of agony and the pain he is fighting against obiwan with. This one also connects to the obiwan to show the most emotional fight in the entire saga. They should also make another one with obiwan and anakin(WARNING SPOILERS)They should make one dirorama that dipicts anakin sliding down the volcanic ash after his left arm and both legs were sliced of with obiwan just standing their with a sculpted face saying why?
Any way this is a great statueatte overall. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Treading water (and patience)
Okay... despite having to assemble the 69-piece tread of a vehicle, then, after fumbling around and trying to get it on its track for five minutes, realizing they give you 70 pieces of tread--and one is meant to be a spare--this is a really good set. Any time you can get two decent-looking vehicles in one set, you have to be pleased. Price notwithstanding, I think this set it much better than the General Grievous Chase. And it compliments the Wookiee Catamaran very nicely if you are looking to display a Kashyyyk battle scene.

The Wookiee flyer is kind of a sleek vessel. It has two seats for two (identical) Wookiees, with the back seat able to swing from side to side. The numerous antennas provide for some lackluster durability, although holding onto the bottom should solve any problems there. The droid's vehicle holds one droid, and I've found that once he's in his seat, it's better to leave him there (more lackluster durability). The outcome and look of this vehicle with the treads, I feel, is marvelous. It may appear fragile, but on a hard, balanced surface it moves smoothly. Among all the vehicles coming from all the Episode III Lego sets, it has to be the most innovative and, consequentially, one of the coolest. Alas, forget the spider droid thing; I hid that behind all my various sets, next to the other spider from Jabba's Palace and that worthless structure in the Jedi Duel set (with Yoda and Count Dooku). This set seems to disguise its piece count well, which could be good or bad. It is not nearly as prominent as the Wookiee Catamaran, while it has only 10 fewer pieces (366 pieces).

The final verdict here is that the Wookiee Attack set is slightly undervalued and underrated. I see a couple other reviews here and see that other people were a bit disappointed. I wasn't, however. If you have the patience to endure a tedious, 69-piece tread assembly and a couple of break-aparts here and there, you should be very happy with this set. But if you don't think you'd like dealing with a small barrage of technic pieces, or don't really like the look of this set as to the price, then don't set yourself up for disappointment. There is a chance for some disappointment here, but more of a chance of satisfaction. Let the force be with you.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Somewhat Nice Edition
This is a fun set. Although I would give up the wookie flyer for another Confederacy item. The Dwarf Spider walker is a little off but makes a nice adition. The wookie flyer is ok but I find those antenna pieces to be a bit annoying. The main reason I got this was for the Corporate Alliance Droid. I was a bit surprised although when I had to build the tread out of 69 annoying small pieces.

2-0 out of 5 stars Revenge of the fragile Lego models
I'm just not into this.I wasn't all that thrilled with it.But maybe that's just me.This set builds a Wookiee glider, spider droid, and tank with movable tread.

For starters, we get two Wookiee warriors with this set. That's a plus if you're looking to add more Wookiees to a big battle scene diorama or something. The Wookiees here do not have crossbows or other weapons. We also get two battle droids (who are stock minifigs from Episode 1).Each droid carries a blaster gun.So if you're looking to bolster your Wookiee and battle droid armies for a big battle scene, this set is (as of this writing) the best place to look.

The Wookiee glider features a cockpit in the front and gunner seat in the back. The sides of the vehicle can open outward, allowing your gunner to turn left and right as he fires on those nasty battle droids with a little laser cannon of his own.Colors here are brown, black, light gray, and sandy yellow. The glider is pretty easy to assemble, but the completed model has four antenna arrays that are quite delicate and easily break off.

The droid tank is a mixture of light blue, dark blue, gray, and transparent orange.Going into the construction are a mixture of Technic parts and regular parts. Some gears are used for the tread that runs through the middle. The two large round pieces with laser cannons on the sides of the vehicle can flip back, offering access to a pilot's chair where a droid can sit.The tank has some nice cannons, and some funky looking antennae up front.

The tread of this tank must be assembled from 79 little tread pieces.Once assembled, the tread often has difficulty operating as it's supposed to, mostly because it gets caught on the two rear wheels of the vehicle.I found that even if I loosened the two wheel pieces to a point where they were dangerously loose and might fall off, the tread still had some difficulty. The tread also easily comes apart. This isn't Lego at their best. The two large round pieces that form the side walls of the vehicle also don't operate all that well when flipped backward. All things considered, this model is the set's worst offender in terms of performance and durability.

The third model is a small four-legged spider droid. Not much to say about him. He's kind of cute, with a rotating dome head and posable cannon.

All said and done, I have to give this set a thumbs down.Could've been better. Not much fun on its own.The good news is that there are no unique characters here.If you're creating a Lego battle scene, this is the place to come for Wookiee Warriors and Battle Droids. And adding in the spider droid, glider, and tank certainly couldn't hurt. You can bolster your Lego armies without any of the pieces here going to waste.

4-0 out of 5 stars pretty cool
Cool!I review first!I bought this somewhere else but I thought I'd rate it here.It is really fun, the rolling ship is very innovative and the wookies are cool minifigs.I took off one star for fun since the wheel on the rolling ship doesn't spin well (I'm not sure if it was supposed to) and I was sorta hoping for a land plate with some trees on it or something.I gave it three stars for educational values since it helps with construction and motor skills (and also helps to build future legos) but it wouldn't really help in life.It is really tough and won't break easily; the only reason I gave it two for durability is because the big wheel ship fell off my table and exploded into Lego oblivion, but I was able to rebuid it.I rated it 4 overall, although I was kind of disappointed that there was no land plate, and the spider droid looked kinda goofy-looking compared to Episode II.
Overall, cool toy. ... Read more

This lightsaber is really fun! My friend bought Obi-Wan's design basic lightsaber and I bought this one. It's fun to fight with them! If you paint it darker it becomes "Darth Vader's" lightsaber!

5-0 out of 5 stars this thing is flippin' awesome
Guys, for star wars freaks like me and you like playing with your friends and neighbors then you should certainly get this amazing toy. It might not have gaudy lights and sounds but this toy is really unique: the blade acually goes in all the way. That is also very usefull for storge space and if you are planning on doing much more than "sword fighting".

5-0 out of 5 stars Basic Is BETTER!
As I have stated previously, I believe all the basic lightsabers are superior to the flashy and fragile light up siblings.

These things can take a beating and are perfect for role playing since they lock, release with a button, clip on to anything, like a pocket, pants seam, or a belt, and they look VERY realalistic.

I am VERY impressed with the Anakin Skywalker style basic lightsabers. They are almost a replica. And they pack the original trilogy's design. :: Drools ::

This item is one of the best things you can give a Star Wars junkie, besides a trip to Star Wars rehab.

The only minor complaint I have is the grip, it is a little large. But if you can tolerate that, this is THE product for you.

Two thumbs up here. |,,,, |,,,,

5-0 out of 5 stars Best lightsaber ever!
Wow! I thought my electronic sabers were cool! I bought my sister and I one (mine red, hers blue) and we just exploded over these!
They're very durable, rectract fully, easy to open and withdraw, and can clip on your belt! We dueled and dueled, until we were too exhausted from the fun!
I have this big black cape with a hood so I can dress up like the Sith Lord to add even more fun.
My sister and I played Star Wars for 3 hrs! My sister thought it was 20 minutes because we had so much fun!
The electronic ones are pretty durable and great for Halloween, but not very durable for extreme fighting, and continuous at that. My saber (or my sister's) haven't gotten a single scratch since I bought these bad boys. My electronic lightsabers have plenty of scratches and marks, and one has a dent at the top.
Overall, these things are inexpensive, and ultimate play fighters! May the force be with you.

4-0 out of 5 stars the first review of the game after it was actually released
why oh why do people write reviews for games that haven't been released? first off i suppose i should let everyone know that any reviews written about this game before nov. 21 2002 should be ignored for the most part. one example of where this is true, the reviewer "lik way chan" said that the xbox version would have no dismemberment, i assure you it does. so don't base a review of a game on something you heard. anyway on with the review. this is indeed one of the best star wars games i've played. the controlling is different from Obi Wan (which i look at now and wonder...why?) the saber control is different too, but i liked the saber control in obi wan. the force powers are great (push pull jump speed grip lightning and heal) though its a pain to have to cycle through them. graphics are amazing, the storyline is great. though it seems you wait too long before you get your saber and force powers, so stick with it! the multiplayer is great too, lots of other force powers offered, ie force drain, force seeing and force rage. so apart from a few minor flaws, this game is flat out awesome, even if your not a star wars fan, this is still a great game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Really good but extremely hard
I love STAR WARS games and couldn't wait for this one. It's a cool game but not without some drawbacks.

NOTE: The game starts off as an FPS. Not until around the 7th level do you get the lightsaber and the Force. When you ignite the saber, you go into 3rd person mode.

DIFFICULTY: I'm starting with this, because this stands out the most. This game is TOUGH! I defy anyone to play through this game without consulting someone for help. I knew I was in trouble when I got stuck on the first stage! And I played the original DARK FORCES. JEDI OUTCAST consists of complicated map areas, hard puzzles, things you might not think to do, and enemies that can drain your energy quickly.

GRAPHICS: I thought they were quite good. Familiar planets is a nice touch. Has a realistic SW feel. The frame-rate is good.

SOUND: A little disappointing, particularly with regard to the lightsaber sound effect. It doesn't have half the punch that it did in OBI-WAN. The music editing is very choppy and is not done very well. Blasters sound good.

CONTROL: The default control is awful, but you can customize it to make it a lot better. Using R for the saber leads to not quite as precise lightsaber movements, but you can get used to that. You can deflect blasts with the lightsaber (and it looks awesome) but they never go back and hit the enemy! The Force is awkward to use.

MULTIPLAYER: Lots of cool places to fight (Death Star, Bespin, etc.) and you can even be a stormtrooper and have a lightsaber!

If Lucasarts took the difficulty, Force usability, lightsaber controls, sound effects, and enjoyability of OBI-WAN, with the graphics and animation of JEDI OUTCAST, we'd get one truly amazing XBOX game.

I have to say this one more time: This is game is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT! It takes the fun out of it since it is so frustrating. Still, it's worth checking out.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great star wars title!
This is a great game for any skilled star wars game freak. The graphics are pretty good and the gameplay is very fun and challenging don't listen to the negative reviews claiming the game is to hard, the people who claim it's to hard are just weak at video games granted the game can frustrate but it never get's to the point where you want to throw the game out the window. This is a good game and I highly recomend it to and star wars fan. p.s. don't buy jedi academy that game is horrible! what a shame to ruin the series like that!

4-0 out of 5 stars Action Packed!!!
My computer was to slow to play it. So I had to wait till it came out on Xbox. I had high hopes for this game and it did not let me down. The first two levels were kinda dull for me because I wanted to use a lightsaber. But after the first two levels it was granted and the game shined differently in my eyes. The gameplay after that point was action packed and I can say I never thought to brandish a gun ever again. From your first lightsaber dual up to the secret stage of the game, I have enjoyed the gameplay experience. I even find myself returning to the jedi action once and a while to slaughter stormtroopers and take in some of the big environments. If it wasn't for certain levels were I was constantly plummeting to my death I would have gave it five stars. I'm not a big Star Wars freak but just buy this game if you like the movies, it won't let you down.

5-0 out of 5 stars tHiS gAmE rOcKs!
I first got this game about 2 years ago for computer. Back then, I had a really slow computer, and it didn't work right. I was so mad that I had wasted 40 dollars on it. It went on the shelf and waited there for 2 years. Now I have a better computer and play it all the time. The earlier reviewer said that the game was extremely difficult, not so. The guy must have obviously been a moron, and not been able to figure out the puzzles, because the game has an average difficulty, and if he wants it easier, he can play on Padawan. Anyway, the game is basically a first person shooter based game, where you go around blasting storm troopers, probe droids, and more. I suggest getting this game because I really enjoy playing it, and I want to get it for XBOX too. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Hubby Loves It!
The only disappointment with this set is that the pieces are plastic. When we picked up the box it was quite heavy so we hoped the pieces were some sort of metal. Alas. However, they are not flimsy. Some of the weapons were a bit curved out of the box but they straightened out with a little TLC. Don't even think about getting them back into the box once you've taken them out unless you wrote down where each piece came from. The board is nothing special, just cardboard, and is a little small for the size of the pieces. If you plan on playing the game I'd suggest getting a larger board. Otherwise, it's great for display purposes. This is the nicest Star Wars chess set we've seen. Buy it, you'll love it.

For those who may be interested, here is a listing of which pieces are included in this new chess set.For the silver "good" side, the pawns are Republic Clone Troopers, kneeling and holding a rifle. The two rooks are C3P0/R2D2 (together on one piece), and Padme firing a blaster from Episode II.The knights are Han Solo in Episode IV clothing and Chewbacca with bowcaster, and the bishops are Princess Leia from Episode IV and Luke Skywalker from Episode VI.The queen is a bearded Episode III Obi-Wan, and the king is Yoda flying through the air (resting on a piece of clear plastic) with a lightsaber. On the black "evil" side, the pawns are the Episode IV era stormtroopers, kneeling with rifles. The two rooks are Count Dooku and Darth Maul (holding a double-bladed lightsaber and doing a high kick).Bishops are General Grievous (two of his four arms are holding lightsabers) and a General Grievous bodyguard with staff.Knights are Jango Fett from Episode II flying with jet pack and firing double pistols, and Boba Fett from Episode VI, presumably firing his wrist cable. The queen is Darth Vader with lightsaber, and the king is Emperor Palpatine with hands poised for sith lightning ala Episode VI.All pieces are made from molded plastic, and weapons will most likely be deformed and wilted when you remove them from the package. If your lightsabers are not all twisted and warped, be surprised and thankful. Also, getting them put back into their proper (unmarked) place in the packaging is like a difficult jigsaw puzzle. In the end, however, this is a nice set and I believe it is worth the price. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars A Must for Any Star Wars Walker Enthusiast
As a fan of Legos and Star Wars, the Clone Scout Walker is simply a must-have. Not only is it a neat little forerunner of the ever-popular AT-ST "Chicken-walker" of Episodes 4-6 (although, of course, it didn't appear until Episode 5...but I digress) it's an absolute steal for its list price of $9.99.
For that price, you get a mean little military machine and its not-quite-a-Clone-Trooper but not-yet-a-Stormtrooper pilot, complete with Lego's imaginative take on a blaster rifle (turn it around and it becomes a high-tech bullhorn!).
I love the look of the Clone Walker, and it balances nicely on its bird-leg design. The no-nonsene chin-mounted dual blasters give it authority, and the design looks speedy and well-suited for its task of - well, scouting. Whoever your Clone Walker is chasing - Battle Droids, Wookies, Jedi, or Lego townspeople unfortunate enough to have rubbed the Republic the wrong way, this walker will do the job.
I do have a couple of minor complaints. The turret of the walker doesn't rotate; the blasters do, giving it a full 180 traverse of fire, but they don't rotate up and down. This means enemy starfighters would be able to take these little guys out with no threat of retribution. Second, the walker's legs don't move very far forward, so the positions you can put them in are limited. Finally, there are a few spots on the walker that are flimsy, mostly around the turret, but unless you're getting overzealous handling it, it shouldn't be a problem.
The final word - get this now!

4-0 out of 5 stars Exceptionally good for 108 pieces
The look of the Clone Scout Walker is comparable to the infamous AT-ST set of yesteryears, a set I liked enough to buy four of (in hopes of building a giant Endor diorama). This walker could be used, in the same respect, to build a massive Kashyyyk scene, which you'd also want to include: the pricey-but-gorgeous Clone Turbo Tank and tag-team efforts of the Wookiee Catamaran and Wookiee Attack--which all cost more than the Clone Scout Walker. So the price is right, as it looks quite nice for just 108 pieces.

The only problem with the price comes in if you're an avid collector of Clone Scouts. This set is the cheapest way to get one; and ten bucks, then, really isn't that cheap. I collected Stormtroopers, and with the Final Duel II set (mostly on clearance, 3/$10) you got a larger number of your minifig for the same price as you're paying for one (here). But that's neither here nor there if you don't collect armies of minifigs. Putting this set together was extremely simple. It took me a total of about ten minutes. In fact, figuring out how many clicks it took to position the walker so it would look as it does on the box seemingly took half that time. Lego really should give you the right number of clicks in the directions. Oh well.

This set gets 4 stars across the board. With its rotating front-gun and nifty look the fun level is high, although it is a small set and it becomes less fun the longer you're handling it; it's as durable as it can be for having two movable legs and a moveable front (picking it up by the two red handles seems to work best); and the educational value's high because there's a lot of small parts and you have to figure out how to position the darn legs. As a result, whether you are planning on creating an epic battle scene or just want to showoff a cool-looking set, the Clone Scout Walker is the perfect Lego at a perfect price.

4-0 out of 5 stars clone scout walker
this is the only ROTS lego i have bought up to date, and i think it is great. Here is my review:
1)the walker itself.
the scout walker was very easy to put together and is alot of fun to play with.It stands upright very stablely but it is hard to pose without holding it.The design is excellent and it cis great for both display and play.My only compliant is a minor one: the front screen thing moves, which may not sound bad, but when you also have the gun at the bottom moving it can get abit annoying.

2) the Clone.
Not much to say really.Very cool helmet and body detail, and sits in the walker very well (not surprisingly).

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Start to Your Episode III Lego Collection
This is one of the first Revenge of the Sith sets I grabbed and it is one of my favorites. For the nice price of $10 you get a cool new clone trooper and his AT-RT. Its easy to build, with just a little concentration needed for the legs, and it is extremely durable. If you are one of those people who enjoy creating battles with your Legos then this set will stay together. Even if your a person like me who puts them on display this model will make itself right at home. So if you're looking for a place to start your Star Wars collection, a long time collector, or just have $10 then this set is for you.

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!
This toy is great! It looks really cool and it has cool guns. It does everything the company said it could. Plus you get one of the really cool new clonetroopers. I liked it so much I got two!

4-0 out of 5 stars BUY SUPER GLUE NOW!
This is an exelllent toy and when I say buy super glue it is optional obviously but if the head and gun fall of its best to super glue them after all battle droids only carry a blaster, not some little computer. BUT BE WARNED the super glue may drip into the joints and if you touch the wet super glue, when it is dry it should have your finger print in it, I now I've done it!

5-0 out of 5 stars It's a nice toy.
My guys head fell off right when I opened the box. You can put it back on easily. It's a very fun toy to play with.I have always loved the Battle Droids. This is a good one if you like the droids.

3-0 out of 5 stars Weak Toy
The battle droid is a nice figure just to be placed as a collection item.Anyway it has problems to maintain a stand up position and if you can get it to stand it will probably fall down. You have to put it resting to the wall.Apart of that, its a nice piece of collection.Nice hand keeping and mobility.

4-0 out of 5 stars Cool figure!
this figure is cool. It is a remake of the ATOC Arena Battle Droid but since battle droids all look alike in all 3 prequels, that's alright. It has the blaster and the blast effect you put on the tip of the blaster. However, the head keeps falling off and it is hard to get the head to stay on.

4-0 out of 5 stars A old mold but a great toy.
This Battle Droid is..okay. It's based on the battle arena Battle Droid mold and has 5 points of articulation, very nice details, and a blaster that fits snugly in its hands. Despite what most people say its head DOES NOT come off. The Battle Droid's head fits nice and tight and turns 360 degrees. This figure is a great buy if you are looking to build a droid army. However if you are looking for a better droid that is new and cooler buy two of General Greavious bodyguards(and the 'though not a droid' Clone Commander). ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Give this set a tri
Watching this set take shape is probably the best part of the assembling process, with the outcome being a great-looking fighter craft. Pieces that you have to "click" into place can (sometimes) make an assembly tedious; and it's (sometimes) hard to tell what the right number of clicks is (i.e. Clone Scout Walker). But everything works perfectly here. The reason I say watching it come together is best is because with the Tri-Fighter comes tri-assembly, meaning you are doing the same thing per step, basically, three times (x3). Some people may not be bothered by this, while others may look for more variety from step to step. Nevertheless, it's not a big problem.

A Buzz-saw Droid is the Tri-Fighter's lone minifig, if you even want to call it a minifig. The only part of his body that represents a true-to-form minifig is the legs; the rest of him is just normal Lego pieces. I have a small problem with this (you may not) because minifigs, to me, are a big part of what makes or breaks a Lego set. But whatever the case may be, the Buzz-saw Droid is a rather unique figure, and he's essentially hidden in the ship's center anyway (getting him to stand up right is a bit monotonous too). Putting this 148-piece set together took a little over a half-hour. I found that with the outstretched beams, this set took up a lot of space; I started on the corner of my table and wound up having to clear most of the space off to make room. As I said, clicking the beams into place was very easy, while the end-pieces that join the three are as efficient as you'd expect from Lego. Also, this set does have a fair number of small stickers you must apply, whether or not that persuades or dissuades you....

So besides the lack of a true minifig and having to do a number of steps times three, the Tri-Fighter is a great Lego set. I highly recommend this, as one of the cheaper Episode III sets and as one of the more attractive ones. The two shades of blue and elevated durability--it has been noted you can drop this from high levels and not have to fix a thing; that is, within reason, true--make the Tri-Fighter a definite steal in the Star Wars Lego line. Give this set a "tri", and you shouldn't be disappointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Lego
This Lego set is one of the best!Unlike the Jedi Starfighter and the Vulture Droid, this set is very durable. If I drop it on concrete, no pieces fall apart! It is also cool with the little buzz droid that comes out of it.How is a Lego educational?Whatever the educational value might be, this is a great Lego!

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice little fighter craft
The droid forces have themselves a nice little fighter craft in this set, which gives us some cool pieces to work with in light blue and dark blue.Included is a Buzz Droid minifig, a strange little guy with a big buzz-saw for a nose.

The Tri Fighter is a cool ship with three support beams that arc around the cockpit in the middle.Mounted on each beam is a blaster gun.Add to that a gun in the middle, and this little guy is armed to the teeth with guns. He's not fooling around. He's ready for a space battle. In the back of the ship are three engines.I like how they created the engines.Nice design. Two special dome pieces with printed designs form the cockpit in the middle. They can open to release the Buzz Droid inside. This is another fun model to play around with, and it's pretty easy to handle. It looks great swooping around and engaging the Jedi Starfighter in dogfights.

Colors are primarily light blue, dark blue, and black, with a bit of light gray. This set has some nice 1x2 bricks with pegs on the sides, and lots of click-hinge pieces.Decorative decals add flavor to our droid fighter.Needless to say, these decals are of the same quality as the decals in the Jedi Starfighter & Vulture Droid set.Excellent, way above average decal quality.

The Tri Fighter performs very well in the durability department. It's a well designed model.I haven't had any problems with pieces coming loose.

My verdict:thumbs up!This nice little droid fighter is as fun to build as he is to play around with, and he's a great addition to any Star Wars Episode 3 collection.

5-0 out of 5 stars Creative design, very fun to play with
This is a great Lego set for kids and collectors alike. The model is very close to the movie model and contains an odd-looking "buzz droid."

PLAY: Very sturdy for "swooshing" and attacking Jedi and Republic ships alike. The fighter is easily flown through the air with one hand.Construction uses Lego clicking joints, allowing for a uniform, symmetrical shape on all three axes. There are some stickers for this set, but they do add a great deal of detail to the model.

LEARNING: All Lego sets have an advantage over normal toys in that they can be taken apart and built into whatever an imagination can create.Great for building creative skills.

DURABILITY: Very durable - click-joint construction and lightweight frame allow this to be dropped from a considerable height onto carpet without breaking.

Great toy!Very fun to play with an it always attracts people who wonder just what it is. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars star wars - attacktix - review
im 21, i used this form because i didnt want to sign up... but thats not important. the attacktix figures seem light, but are suprisingly durable. ive dropped mine on the floor a few times, by accident, and they havent broken. i must say, i was suprised how fast and hard they shoot, id say, 10 feet with good speed, definitely watch your eyes. if you have children playing, they should stay out of the line of fire, i would hold up a towel so that the missiles would have something to hit.

its also a good strategy builder. and since you dont need a board, it can be modified with obstacles and such. all in all, its pretty good. hopefully theyll introduce more items to this line. i give it 8 out of 10.

pros - good strategy game
- not too expensive
- easy to learn

cons - hard to make a large army.
- random selection in booster packs
- hard hitters (but they need to hit hard to knock em down)

5-0 out of 5 stars Better than chess, more strategic than Mage Knight
This set is GREAT! The gameplay is REALLY fun. I had my doubts when I first saw them I thought that they were a little too out of proportion (They resemble the clone wars cartoon a little bit). But I decided to go with it. Here is myadvice: If you don't want to get addicted/obssesed over anything, don't buy this. There is als a carrying case/game board, that is going to be released June 1, It comes with a Clone Seargent, and new rules for a capture the flag game. This set comes with Obi Wan, Darth Vader (Before he was in the suit), A clone commander, a Wookie Commando (My favourite) and 1 random figure (I got a clone trooper). It also came with a CD, which I haven't used yet, but I bet it's great. Wave 2 of Attacktix is also coming, It will include a new Republic Gunship, Dart Maul, and Jango Fett, plus any more! So hurry and buy a starter set before everyone else does!

5-0 out of 5 stars More Fun Than it Should Be
When I first saw these sets in the stores, I thought little of them. The figures are strangely proportioned, the likenesses are dodgy, and the collectible aspect is difficult to justify. Then I decided to give them a try, and I haven't looked back since.

This set is just the starter, and it comes with the four pictured figures, and one mystery figure. The add-on packs are blind purchases, and contain a random selection of three of the 30+ figures currently offered. This blind packaging is the only real downside to this game. The gameplay is simple and solid, the movement system unique, the parts are well-made, AND it's a lot of fun.You remember fun don't you? It's that thing that most games lack.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent game for all ages!
I was pretty skeptical when my husband brought this home to 'play' with but I have to say it's actually a lot of fun. It is easy to learn and comes with a CD-ROM that shows you how to play in about 10-15 minutes. It's not totally uneducational too - there is some math involved and you could incorperate many math problems into the game without your child knowing.

If you want to introduce your kids to Star Wars this is the way to do it - this game is very entertaining!

5-0 out of 5 stars Guide to Attacktix - Part I
The Attacktix system is a wonderful idea of a Star Wars inspired battle game to be played in a virtual board. The best way to understand this is as a type of a chess in which the board is actually a virtual 3x3 ft. square. At each turn you move and attack your opponent to knock as many of the opponent's figures down. The rule to win is simple: "Last One Standing Wins".

The Figures
Each army is composed of multiple figures, each with its own characteristics in terms of speed, type of attack and resistance to enemy attacks. The figures are modelled after Star Wars characters and very beautifully detailed. They are truly nice even to collect and display them.Kids love to see them are very atracted to them.

Figure Characteristics
Each figure has the following characteristics associated to it:
- Speed. How far a figure can move on a given turn (measured by ticks). When you move your figure through the board it "ticks" and you move it according to its speed number (e.g. a figure with a speed of 6 can be moved six ticks in any direction).
- Defense. The larger the base, the harder it is to knock down a figure. Each figure has a defense rating, which typically goes from 10 to 40.There are some large figures called Battle Masters that are rated 70.
-It's ID Band identifies the name of the figure and the family it belongs to, which is useful for advanced game playing.
- Type of attack. In General you have figures that shoot missiles or other types of objects or figures that knock down with the swing of a saber or its arm. There is also the special figure of the emperor who can "possess" other figures (e.g. use them as your own, even if they are not).

Building your army.
You and your player should build your army to be worth 100 defense points (the sum of all defense ratings of all your individual figures). If you choose figures with high defense ratings, you end up with a small, yet powerful army; and if you choose figures with low defense ratings you can have a large, yet fragile army. For example: you can have 10 figures if each of them has a rating of 10; while your opponent can have 3 figures (2 with a rating of 30 and 1 with rating of 40).
Alternative armies:
- If you are learning to play, or you want to simplify this for your kids, you can play a fixed number of army figures (e.g. 3 vs. 3 as suggested on the Quick Start guide).
- If you want a more challenging game you can override the 100 points rule and go for 150, 200 or whatever number you'd like.
- If you are playing with a little kid, you can probably give him/her a handicap by letting him go over the 100 rule.

Playing tips
- Get a flat surface to play. It's easier and more accurate to measure the ticks and easier to move freely in the virtual board.
- Chose a table vs. using the floor. It is easier to target missiles in a table vs the floor given the more accurate perspective you have on your opponent.
- Safety tip: If you are playing with little kids ask them to avoid being in front of the shooter, when launching missiles. The missiles are launched with force (specially if you are very close to the board) and therefore is wise to avoid the kids peeking into the board when the opponent is shooting given the potential safety issue.Ask them to move to the side when the opponent is shooting.

Actual Game playing tips
- Knocking down opponents is actually more difficult than what it seems.Taking a good shot sometimes can be difficult due to the pressure you place to release the missiles. The pressure can make you shoot under or above your actual target.
- For missile launching figures, try to have some distance to your opponent, so your missile can get enough force to knock your opponent down.Half a foot to a foot are good distances, if you are too close, you might end up moving your opponents figure, but not knocking it down.
- For Laser Saber figures, you have to come close.Try to raise the Saber up so the swing knocks the opponent figure in the head.If you hit too low with the saber you will move your oponent but not knock it down.

In summary:
A great games the kids love.Forces strategic thinking given the many moves, formations and possible attack routes. The art on the figures is outstanding for the price of the set.The major flaw is the potential safety issue of the launched missiles for little kids.

What to buy to get started:
One Starter set (includes 5 figures, the four show at the photo above plus one mistery figure) plus one Booster set (includes 3 figures, all of them mistery) can get you going.Eventually you are likely to develop a taste for collecting all 35 figures plus the 2 Battle Masters.

More info:
The Starter set includes a very good CD ROM that guides you trhough the basics of the game. Also, the product website has playing demos that can give you a great idea of what to expect from the series and provide good tips on how to play it. Go to attacktix.com.

I dont know too much about the character but his figure was worth buying. He comes complete with a staff and a blaster rifle. Destined to become a true collectors item these preview figures are not to be missed.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Futuristic Ghoul.
STAR WARS fans have some idea what the final movie will contain: the death of most of the Jedi, the duel between Anakin and Obi Wan, the return of Anakin from almost certain death to that as life as Darth Vader, and some sort of Wookie battle. Hints have been placed here and there throughout the novels, video games, and animated series on Cartoon Network. Now that the release of what is supposed to be the final STAR WARS motion picture on May 19, 2005; the mass merchandising has begun. Let the action figures roll!

Tion Medon is the local administrator on a planet called Utapau. Not having yet seen REVENGE OF THE SITH, it's hard to say what exact purpose he plays in the new movie. However, it's safe to say that Tion Medon doesn't have a friendly look about him. In fact, he looks like death warmed over and his long red robes remind me just a little bit too much of the Royal Imperial Guards. Like General Grievous, Tion Medon is both intimidating and frightening in appearance. The action figure includes this long rifle-like gun and a walking stick that looks a little bit too much like an upside-down lightsaber. The figure is fun to play with and not knowing yet exactly what role he plays in the saga makes it even more interesting right now--sometimes you can use him as an obvious Sith member, othertimes one can pretend he's really on the side of the Republic but just has a scary-looking face. The figure isn't very flexible (which is a complaint of most of the STAR WARS action figures) and that's about the most major drawback. Nevertheless, the character is a lot of fun and makes a great addition to any STAR WARS collection. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars A bit much
This toy is a bit much with the lava effect, not to mention it is a royal pain in the behind trying to attach both pieces to the base. I actually had just the front piece attached at one time, and after looking at it without felt it was a much stronger piece. I love the Obi Wan sculpt itself, but have issues with this pose and base. No where near as cool or easy to display as the General Grievous, for example. Wish it would have been better. ... Read more
