3-0 out of 5 stars beauty doesn't last... sometimes...
I bought padme at target... had to pick out of several of them at the store because of some visible flaws i found on these "action" figures... here's my review...

*bright side:
+ 12 articulation points...
+ greatly poseable...
+ comes with the royal pistol...
+ ...along with a stand, of course... and it holds up well too...
+ great details... (hairstyle, outfit, pregnant belly...)
+ the idea of having the beautiful padme amidala action figure is exciting, isn't it...?

#dark side:
- left elbow doesn't articulate
- likeness doesn't come consistently in each of these padme action figures (some toys has major flaws especially on facial features, so i had to dig in the store to find the better looking padme) is that what it means with "Product and colors may vary" printed on the back of the box?
- the gun is very fragile, the shaft part is as crushable as clay because it's so small and thin...
- my padme couldn't hold the gun that well... on neither hands... a little action movement and the pistol dissapears... and, again, because it's so small, this tiny gun is hard to find when it fell off in a 'crowded' place... oh well... goodbye "royal" pistol...
- when i took the figure out of the package, the right hand instantly came off from the elbow articulation area (the lower part of the arm doesn't fit well in the elbow's articulation point)... i stick the arm back in and it holds up for a while until i touch the arm and it fell off again...i guess my padme won't be an action figure then... well, a pregnant woman shouldn't get into much action anyway...

...my review seems to be "twisted by the dark side," but this is a great collector's item (but not an action figure, apparently)...

5-0 out of 5 stars MY SON'S FAVORITE TOY
my son is a teen at the age of 17 years old and this is his favorite toy he loves to pretened that she is giving birth and somtimes i see him cry and i say whats the matter sweetie? and he will say pademe died in birth but we got the babies that is what happens in the movie. but i tell him dont be sad and then he forgets all about it and i make him eat a sandwhich. great toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Ready for action...
A pregnant Padme' with a blaster in hand, what's not to love?A wife, a mother, a senator, a fighter... now that's a role model!

5-0 out of 5 stars Padme Pregnant
It is a pregnant Padme who rocks. Also for those who are turned off by the truth than so be it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Monopoly-Star Wars Style
It had been a while since I've taken a look at both Star Wars and Monopoly...Due to the hype for the new movie (EPS 3), I got back into Star Wars...This caused a mass compulsive buying of alot of SW merchandise. One of those items happened to be Star Wars Monopoly.
The paper money is cheap as always...it feels like it'll rip any second...it couldve been a little more durable.
The cities and settlements are sculpted great, and the game board has beautiful art on it.
The game pieces
Darth Vader
Darth Maul
Darth Sidious
Luke Skywalker
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Princess Leia
Yoda
General Grievous
are all extremely well made, bringing characters from all 6 movies.
My only gripe is that they included Grevious over someone like Han Solo or Boba Fett...I don't care for Leia or Yoda much, so I wouldnt have minded those two replaced with some old favorites.
All in all, a great buy and tons of fun to play.

4-0 out of 5 stars Lord Palpatine Done Proper in the 12" Format
At last, with Revenge of the Sith, Emperor Palpatine gets his proper respects! As a fan of Emperor Palpatine going back to the Original Trilogy, the pickings have always been slim for me.The Phantom Menace introduced Palpatine to us again as "Darth Sidious", and we got a new figure. However, with ROTS, we've got plenty to choose from!

This 12" figure of Palpatine/Sidious is done very well, the facial expression is done well, and the cloak is great. There is plenty of room to make the hood baggy, as Palpatine wears it as Sidious. My main complaint about this figure is the fact that he falls fairly often (Even after repositioning the legs properly), and the lightsaber. My complaint about the saber, however, is more due to the fact that I dislike that he will use one in the movie, more than the toy itself.Lucas, why did you cheapen Palpatine by making him have to get his hands dirty? That was part of this character's mystique!

Overall, a 4-star figure.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wicked Looking Sith Lord...
This is a detailed, highly poseable 12" Figure of Darth Sideous/Emperor Palpatine. I like the fact that the hood is removable, and the hands feature the same cool articulation as the AOTC 12" Count Dooku figure from 2002. This is as least as good as that one, and that was an excellent figure! It's also a great likeness of the evil Sith Lord. Keeping this figure in the package doesn't do it justice. I've got mine posed on my computer desk just like the photo on the box---hunched over, lightsaber in hand, preparing to strike with dark force lightning!!!When his hood is partially obscuring his face, and all you can see are his yellow eyes and demonic smile, this figure is truly a phantom menace...

2-0 out of 5 stars They cut corners on quality
I have been collecting the 12" line of Star Wars action figures for some time.By far, they have really cut down on the quality of their 12" line from previous years. Case in point: Darth Sideous.

They didn't even give this guy a shirt, just a bib that covers his neck and chest when his cloak is closed. If you want to leave the cloak open, the figures plastic body (i.e. stomach) is visable. How much would it have cost to give him a complete shirt?Pathetic! Also, his pants are too short and easily come out of the boots showing his legs.Again, what gives?Lastly, his head, at least on my figure, is pretty loose.

The only positives are that the outer cloak is well done and the face likeness is good, compared to the 12" emperor palpatine released in the 1990's (which was nothing similar to the actor's likeness).Overall, Hasbro should have done a much better job with this figure. ... Read more

the best
i really like it . durabilty is good.

Bring home a piece of Empire Strikes Back Hoth battle.
This is a cool set to have if you have some other star wars sets. The best set to buy is AT-AT.So you can recreate the Hoth battle.Lego has already made an older version of this set but its hard to find.If you are buying this to play with then get it.I would have to say the Original version is better for collectibility.I have both and the old one falls apart easiely. This new set comes with a grappling hook and different colored pieces. It is also more like the ship from the movie.I reccomend this to any lego or star wars fan. ... Amazon.com Review

Set in the interval between The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, this first-person adventure lets you step into the role of the galaxy's most heavily armed bounty hunter, Jango Fett, as you track a renegade Jedi across the galaxy, collecting information (and bounties) along the way.

In addition to Jango's trademark dual blaster pistols, your armor bristles with gadgets and weaponry: darts, flamethrower, blowtorch, scanner, cable snare, and--of course--a missile-launching jetpack. Use this arsenal to battle hordes of uncooperative guards, fend off rival bounty hunters, scale precipitous skyscrapers, and capture fugitives--dead or alive. The basic controls are surprisingly easy to master, and you've got enough armament at your disposal to fight your way out of almost any situation. Still, some finesse is required: as fun as it is to walk into a room and blast everything in sight (and it is fun--especially when you're the one wearing the jetpack), you may discover when the smoke clears that the guy you just fried was worth twice as much alive. Oh well...

The complex storyline is revealed by extended cutscenes that let you rest your thumbs while Jango follows up the next lead. (Star Wars fans will appreciate the quality and detail of these scenes, as well as the fidelity of the story arc--namely how Jango is chosen as the model for the clone troopers in Episode II.) And anyone familiar with the Lucas Arts suite of games will not be disappointed by the superior graphics, music, sound effects, and fully realized characters and locations. The pace of the game is up to you: methodically seek out the secrets of each level, or ruthlessly blast your way to the big payoff. --Maile Bohlmann

Pros:

  • Impressive graphics and rich detail
  • Excellent scripting and voicing
  • Nice balance between action and strategy
  • Controller setup is intuitive and easy to learn

Cons:

  • Long stretches between save points
  • Climbing sequences can become redundant
  • Weapons must be holstered to use scanner, leaving you vulnerable

4-0 out of 5 stars Not Stealthy Enough
When I started playing bounty Hunter, i was pretty exicted because my favorite charactor of Star Wars was Boba Fett. (Yeah, you play as Jango Fett in the game, but what's the difference.)Anyways, i started playing and thought the graphics were pretty good as i walked and fought my way through the 1st level, battling the giant bug like monster, escape out of the building, and started to admire all the backround buildings and art.Another cool feature is that when you spot a bounty with your HUD, it gives some intresting facts about your target. But what Lucas Arts really hit gold upon was the story-line of the game, and some of the extra features on the disk. I was also suprised at how well the movies between stages were done, and how the writers scripted them.

So the first few levels were really fun, but after a few days stuck playing on the game, all the climbing, running and shootouts with bounties started to get redundent. Also on the minus side, you don't really sneak around that much, like you think a real bounty hunter would operate, but you're shooting everything that has a blaster. All in all this is a pretty good game, but if you really want a bounty hunter/spy game, get Splinter Cell

5-0 out of 5 stars Bounty Hunter: Coolest FPS if you love Star Wars
I bought the game couple weeks ago. I have loved it so far. The skill level to play the missions, starting at the Coruscant missions, gets hard quickly. I am stuck trying to get out of an asteroid prison. I am a die hard Star Wars fan, so this game is great for me. The last FPS game I have enjoyed as much was Frontline, Medal of Honor.
The graphics in SW Bounty Hunter are superb. The controls are very responsive. The twin laser guns are reliable, and will stop almost any threat if you click the fire button fast enough. You have to use the jet pack smartly, since you can fly for a few seconds only.In the tradition of Lucas Arts games, there are great cinematic sequences in 4:3 box format between levels. The story line is fine. It reflects accuretely what kind of working life a bounty hunter like Jango Fett goes through daily. Some levels tend to be very long, so within a level the story timelime slows down. The Star Wars worlds and environments we have come to expect from the movies are accurately portrayed.
To conclude: SW Bounty Hunter is an excellent game. It is very challenging to play. It's a must rent, and a must buy if you are a SW die hard fan. The game is not perfect, but from the three I own now ( Starfigther, Pod Racer, and this one), I consider Bounty Hunter the best. It has the best action play, the closest storyline to the SW movies, and the closest I can feel momentarily that I am actually inside the Star Wars Universe.

Bring his head back!
This awesome game features a very high level of exitement AND I was engulfed with it.My favorite level is the Entertainment district in Coruscant. You would be amazed by how many bounties you can find in one room. You just need to explore, aim, and shoot.Quick tip:the number of bounties range between each level.Kill every enemy you find. trust nobody

prepare for the hunt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you are looking for a action packed star Wars game your search is over. You get to play as Jango Fett.{Bobo Fetts father}eneone who stands in the way of you and your bounty are either blasted, burned, poisoned, capturd or blownup.GO JANGO!

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun but Difficult
I thought that this game was a pretty good one. There are many cool features about Jango Fett, he has many weapons, and many gadgets on his armor. The only problem with the game is that I thought it was insanely difficult. At first it's fun and easy. But soon it gets to be a real pain. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Illuminates the Dark
Many people have said that these toys have no durability, and while that is true, it has a wonderful array of new abilities that showcase a talented group of action toy-makers.
The Pros:
It comes with a stand
Bends the knees and elbows
Collectible
The dress is fabric
A magnificent jedi master(She is one of my favorites other than Plo Koon)

And now for the Cons:
No durability whatsoever
Tiny parts that could be swallowed by children

But aside from those little factors, it is a great toy. A must have.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for little hands.
I got this toy for my 4 1/2 year old daughter who wants to be a Jedi when she grows up.We got all the Jedi girls (plus Mothma and Padme), Luminara is a great toy, good articulation and she holds her light saber well. The light part of the saber comes off easily, but I think that's so she can wear it hooked to her belt. She stands well and has been on several adventures with my daughter. She has held up well while being played with regularly by little hands.

5-0 out of 5 stars where did she come from?
I got this figure about a week ago and I love it.I first saw her advertised in the lego set.I wondered where it came from so I got it.luminara comes with a lightsaber and a base from the jungle of kashyyyk.I hope she has a bigger part in the next movie.

5-0 out of 5 stars UnFairly UnderRated
I bought this because female figures are often difficult to find and it is one of the better figures.Luminara Unduli is awesome!I haven't had any problems with this particular figure, it stands up and holds it's items justas well as most action figures. It's a fact of life that most Star Wars action figures, along with action figures in general, don't always stand up on the shelf very well, but I buy them anyway because they're cool and prop them up as best I can.

Of course, I don't know how well these would hold up if you're going to let your kid sling them around.I buy them to look at and for them to sit on my shelf and they are great for that. Also, I don't know why others gave Luminara Unduli a bad review because OTHER Star Wars figures broke "the first day out of the box."There are duds every so often and if a figure breaks right after opening it, you should return it to the store where you bought it for an exchange or refund. So far we've bought most of the Revenge of the Sith figures that they've put out so far and I haven't had any problems. They all hold their light sabers/guns/etc. and I haven't had a single one break. The only figure that I bought that won't hold it's light sabers is the 12" Grievous figure which is so cool anyway that I'll probably just use something sticky to make him hang on to those light sabers!

1-0 out of 5 stars Cheap Toys
For almost 28 years now I have loved Star Wars, and I could not wait for the third and final movie because my oldest son would be the same age I was when I first saw Star Wars.Well... lets just say that Lucas is off to another bad start with this final movie. My son has most of the new figures, and all of them are falling apart after less then two weeks.C-3PO broke the first day out off the box, along with Yoda.My son and I are very disappointed by these toys, and are planning on saving our money and not giving any more to a greedy old man that is steeling from his fans by making half baked toys and movies (the last two).DO NOT BY THESE TOYS!!!! ... 2-0 out of 5 stars can be misleading
Be aware that the Star Wars Attacktix Figures 3-Pak is part of a game set and the figures you receive are not necessarily those pictured. It's a random selection.I wish the description had indicated that, we ordered them to get the figures in the picture and my son was disappointed when the package we received was not the same.I wasn't aware of the game, we were just looking for action figures.I have no problem with the toy or the value, but I think that it should be clearer that you do not control which figures you get.

5-0 out of 5 stars Guide to Attacktix - Part I + 3 figure pack comment
The 3 Figure Booster Pack is typically the way to increase your collection of attacktix figures.I recommend to get the 5 figure starter set as at first component to build your collections and then follow it by one or several 3 figure booster packs.

The Attacktix system is a wonderful idea of a Star Wars inspired battle game to be played in a virtual board. The best way to understand this is as a type of a chess in which the board is actually a virtual 3x3 ft. square. At each turn you move and attack your opponent to knock as many of the opponent's figures down. The rule to win is simple: "Last One Standing Wins".

The Figures
Each army is composed of multiple figures, each with its own characteristics in terms of speed, type of attack and resistance to enemy attacks. The figures are modelled after Star Wars characters and very beautifully detailed. They are truly nice even to collect and display them. Kids love to see them are very atracted to them.

Figure Characteristics
Each figure has the following characteristics associated to it:
- Speed. How far a figure can move on a given turn (measured by ticks). When you move your figure through the board it "ticks" and you move it according to its speed number (e.g. a figure with a speed of 6 can be moved six ticks in any direction).
- Defense. The larger the base, the harder it is to knock down a figure. Each figure has a defense rating, which typically goes from 10 to 40. There are some large figures called Battle Masters that are rated 70.
-It's ID Band identifies the name of the figure and the family it belongs to, which is useful for advanced game playing.
- Type of attack. In General you have figures that shoot missiles or other types of objects or figures that knock down with the swing of a saber or its arm. There is also the special figure of the Emperor who can "possess" other figures (e.g. use them as your own, even if they are not).

Building your army.
You and your player should build your army to be worth 100 defense points (the sum of all defense ratings of all your individual figures). If you choose figures with high defense ratings, you end up with a small, yet powerful army; and if you choose figures with low defense ratings you can have a large, yet fragile army. For example: you can have 10 figures if each of them has a rating of 10; while your opponent can have 3 figures (2 with a rating of 30 and 1 with rating of 40).
Alternative armies:
- If you are learning to play, or you want to simplify this for your kids, you can play a fixed number of army figures (e.g. 3 vs. 3 as suggested on the Quick Start guide).
- If you want a more challenging game you can override the 100 points rule and go for 150, 200 or whatever number you'd like.
- If you are playing with a little kid, you can probably give him/her a handicap by letting him go over the 100 rule.

Playing tips
- Get a flat surface to play. It's easier and more accurate to measure the ticks and easier to move freely in the virtual board.
- Chose a table vs. using the floor. It is easier to target missiles in a table vs the floor given the more accurate perspective you have on your opponent.
- Safety tip: If you are playing with little kids ask them to avoid being in front of the shooter, when launching missiles. The missiles are launched with force (specially if you are very close to the board) and therefore is wise to avoid the kids peeking into the board when the opponent is shooting given the potential safety issue. Ask them to move to the side when the opponent is shooting.

Actual Game playing tips
- Knocking down opponents is actually more difficult than what it seems. Taking a good shot sometimes can be difficult due to the pressure you place to release the missiles. The pressure can make you shoot under or above your actual target.
- For missile launching figures, try to have some distance to your opponent, so your missile can get enough force to knock your opponent down. Half a foot to a foot are good distances, if you are too close, you might end up moving your opponents figure, but not knocking it down.
- For Laser Saber figures, you have to come close. Try to raise the Saber up so the swing knocks the opponent figure in the head. If you hit too low with the saber you will move your oponent but not knock it down.

In summary:
A great games the kids love. Forces strategic thinking given the many moves, formations and possible attack routes. The art on the figures is outstanding for the price of the set. The major flaw is the potential safety issue of the launched missiles for little kids.

What to buy to get started:
One Starter set (includes 5 figures, one of them a mistery figure) plus one Booster set (includes 3 figures, all of them mistery) can get you going (you can play 3 X 3 or 4 x 4). Eventually you are likely to develop a taste for collecting all 35 figures plus the 2 Battle Masters.

Well it's always nice to get new figures of jedi in the ever-expanding Star Wars universe and mythology.Ki-Adi-Mundi is a very well-articulated figure at arms, elbow, hands, legs, etc, making for a figured that is extremely posable. It's not the most colorful or charasmatic looking figure, though. As far as durability goes, who's taking them off the card anyway, and if you did, who's actually playing with them?

For almost 28 years now I have loved Star Wars, and I could not wait for the third and final movie because my oldest son would be the same age I was when I first saw Star Wars.Well... lets just say that Lucas is off to another bad start with this final movie. My son has most of the new figures, and all of them are falling apart after less then two weeks.C-3PO broke the first day out off the box, along with Yoda.My son and I are very disappointed by these toys, and are planning on saving our money and not giving any more to a greedy old man that is steeling from his fans by making half baked toys and movies (the last two).DO NOT BY THESE TOYS!!!! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Wookie Warrior
I think this toy is great. My only complaint is that it's helment does'nt stay on when you open the box, but it's durability makes up for that. This wookie is big and beefy, so it's lower arms don't fall off when you try to pose it. It is definitly hunkier than Chewbacca, although all the wookies seem to be better made than everyone else. Of all the wookies I've seen from episode3, he can hold his gun much better. the snap-on body armour is'nt that great, but considering this wookies gun won't fall out of his hands while fighting a battle droid, thisis one of the best ROTS toys yet.

4-0 out of 5 stars Wookies Unite!
This Wookie Warrior is one of 4 preview toys to what is supposed to be the last STAR WARS movies, REVENGE OF THE SITH. In 1983 RETURN OF THE JEDI was released and thousands of adult Star Wars fans felt cheated knowing that the Ewoks in the movie were originally supposed to be Wookies.REVENGE OF THE SITH is Lucas' retribution and this action figure offers just a small glimpse of the Wookie race in all their glory. The action figure is slightly taller and much broader than the Chewie action figures of the past. It's a fairly flexible figure and is rather sturdy. It includes a variety of body armor, a weapon, and a helmet. The figure is a lot of fun to play with and makes one long for the waning glory days of the Republic.

Finally we get to see a Wookie warrior in all his splendor. This guy comes with a rifle and decked out in armor. I look forward to seeing the Wookies in Episode III. Lots of detail makes this a figure worth adding to your collection.

Very nice figure...great detail and nice to finnally explore Chewbacca's home planet...this guy is huge compared to Chewie..but then again Chewie was young...this one will be a great addition to our collection...hope they produce some differant wookie warriors...(like the old Ewoks)....

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow... What a Wookie!
OK---here we go: Episode III is getting closer and closer and Hasbro does not disappoint fans and collectors with the release of the first four action figures from the movie, "Revenge of the Sith".

The Wookie warrior offers us a glimpse into the movie's action sequences on the famous Chewbacca's home planet. There, we gonna meet lots of Wookies in a dense battle. And right from the middle of the action comes this towering figure with snap-on armor, a helmet and a gun.

I loved this figure when I freed it from its package. While its enormous size may seem exaggerated, the sculpting is great. It also has lots of points of articulation---but that does not take away from the look of the toy.

I also recommend buying the General Grievous figure from the Episode III preview assortment! ... Read more
